Question for DCL Vets - Which toiletry items come with your room? Shampoo, conditioner, lotion?? Anything else? Thanks!

They have the H2O brand of shampoo, conditioner and lotion....and a bar of soap in the bathrooms of course. :) They are nice large sizes too!

I love the shampoo and conditioner, I order and use it at home. The lotion is good, but not enough if you have dry skin like I do and use it after showers or pool or 'just because'. That said I've never had an issue getting more from our room host. Usually as soon as we crack open something, a spare of everything is put into the cabin!

Hi everyone. Thanks for the positive thoughts, prayers, and pm's. My Dad is in his final days. I am praying for a pain free and peaceful death for him. We were hoping to be on this cruise with all of you, but it doesn't look like the cast rate is going to open up again, and we missed the opportunity. So, we booked on the 4 day leaving the day after you. Have a wonderful cruise! Thanks again! :-)

Stephanie - I am so sorry to hear about your dad, but all your DIS-friends are thinking of you. Sorry you won't be joining us, but glad to hear you have a trip planned. :lovestruc

Nana-Tink Steph (so many Stephanies here!) - what are you doing up at 4:26 AM???

YIKES!

I am totally overwhelmed at work and am really starting to freak out that the trip is coming soon and I am feeling unprepared! Now that sports are done, perhaps this weekend I can get myself organized.

I also love the H20 shampoo and conditioner. I just wish they had shower gel in the cabins instead of the bar of soap. However, they do sell it at the gift shop on board and I bought a bottle to bring home with me for a little bit of the cruise even at home. :goodvibes

I truly can't believe how quick our trip is coming. I guess I better notify the school and the teachers that my kids will be MIA for a week. :cool1:

OH...the reason I came on this morning...I got my shipping notification that my FE is on it's way!! I can't wait to see how it came out!

Happy Tuesday everyone...only 3 more Tuesdays to go before we cruise!

I get up at 4 every morning! I have to be at work at 6 in DC, so we leave the house about 4:45. :sad2:

There certainly are a lot of us Stephanies aren't there? :rotfl: Growing up, I was the only one I ever knew!

Glad your FE is on it's way! That's awesome news! I haven't tried the shower gel, I might have to. I order the shampoo and conditioner online. In fact, I'm getting a little low, wonder if I can make it until the cruise>;)

Have a great day, everyone, and like Rachael said....get out and vote!!! :flower3:

@ Gailyn. Have you tried Motion Eze? We found it at Wal-mart before our first cruise in 2005 and haven't used anything else since. Its a ginger ointment that you put behind your ears and on your wrists. If you find some I highly recommend it. It has always worked for my "Green around the gills" moments on the boat and for turbulence on planes.

Well I did have a panic attack this morning laying in bed thinking about all I need to get done. Hair appointments, FE gifts, etc. We have decided to wait to pack until the day before we leave because our DS isn't going with us and will be at his father's house that day. I thought it would spare his feelings a little. We do our best to talk about the cruise when he's not there or is asleep. When it does get mentioned he looks at me and says "Hate you" with a smile on his face. He knows that we need a vacation.

DS is still sick. Hopefully he will be able to go back to school tomorrow. He's off for parent / teacher conferences on Friday so it will be a really short week for him.

I'm getting the munchies so I better eat breakfast and get back to work.

Wow, we fell to the middle of the second page. Better get this back up there!

We are beyond excited for this trip. We are meeting with the rest of the family tomorrow to work out more of the travel and packing details. I am looking for any excuse to talk about the trip.

We leave in 22 days!!!

H2O is having an online sale starting tomorrow at noon, and going through Thursday. 25% off. I will email you the code once I hunt that email down! (Saw it come through earlier today!)

Busy as heck this past week and a bad couple of days with a death in the family. My niece was expecting twins and was due at the end of November, they had already planned a c-section for her the middle of November. Well, they ended up taking her in and doing an emergency c-section, the little boy passed away and the little girl was in intensive care on a respirator. Thank goodness the little girl (Clara Grace) is doing much better and is cute as a button. So, a bittersweet outcome. Sure makes you think about how precious life is..

So sorry for the loss in your family. Hope Clara is doing well.

So sorry for what you are going through. Hope you are able to get some relaxation in on the 4 day cruise.

Don't forget to Get Out & VOTE!!!

Done - check one thing off my LONG list of things to get done prior to 11/25!

Have you tried Target for the dresses? They're usually cute and inexpensive.

You can get sea bands @ Walgreens or CVS.

Night!

Annabel- thanks, I'll look for the sea bands there and I can look for the motion medicine that Tonya recommended at the same time :goodvibes!

Target had great dresses and skirts in the girls dept, they were too short/small and the jrs dresses didn't have much selection yet. I'll keep looking!

Cindy - Thanks for the H20 sale info! I love the lotion, shampoo and conditioner .

Just sitting here watching election results in between surfing. :surfweb:

Good night!
Gailyn

I also got Sea Bands at Target, but they are behind the pharmacy counter, so you have to ask for them.

Made a BIG list of things to do today (while working, of course, too) to prep for the trip and just stuff around the house (call for septic to be cleaned, dr. appointments). So much to do and so little time!

:earboy2:

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a great day, the robo calls are ended at least for the next little while....I can't believe I got TWO calls after 6 PM last night! :headache:

I have so much to do, I decided to take the 12th of November so that I had a 4-day weekend to finish things up! :goodvibes

Have a FANTASMIC day, everyone! It's back to work for me!:surfweb:

Morning everyone! :Pinkbounc

I have to chuckle that several of us are moving on from "excited" to "panic" mode :rotfl2: I am going to try and make a pretty comprehensive packing list today inbetween getting work done of course. :lmao:

I wasn't planning on bringing any motion sickness stuff, neither of us usually suffer from motion sickness or sea sickness...do they sell it on the ship ?(incase I really needed it)

Have a wonderful day everyone...gloomy and drizzling here, but at least the temps are back to fall weather. :thumbsup2

I take Sea Bands for my dd , ginger pills, and a few gingersnaps JIC... However, we are strong believers of the pills that they will give you free at the front desk! The first night is always a little rocky, so we take them when we board, just to be prepared. :thumbsup2

Good Morning All:

Just checking in. During the election coverage last night I tried on dresses for dinner. Yep, I'm happy with my weight loss. My old boss even said wow when he saw me this morning.

I'm getting excited. I have all my paperwork with me at the office so that I can get my spreadsheets around. I have the master packing list, but am still endeavoring to get it all in a big suitcase and a drag on. Darn Air Tran.

I hope everyone has a great day.

22 days and a wake up for me. It can't get here soon enough.

Congrats on the weight loss! I am down 4.5 lbs in the past 2 1/2 weeks, would love to get up to 10 before we cruise, but with all this dang Halloween candy around and the stress level at work....it's HARD! :rolleyes1

Just got off the phone with A Perfect Gift....ordered a fun tote bag of stuff for all of us that Mickey is sending (and apparently I'm paying instead of the Mouse). :lmao:

Something fun to have in the cabin when we arrive...DH doesn't even know about it!

Just scheduled our closing on our refinance for FRIDAY! Yes, 2 days away, and the last date we can before the papers "expire". Underwriting was backed up, so just like at my work, everyone else takes their time and I am left with NO time to finish everything.

Just a little more stress to add to the fun, right?

It's all good...just wish I could get through my work stuff so I can do CRUISE stuff!

Enjoy the day everyone...nice day here today in CT, but we are expecting rain tomorrow (all day) and the temps have been dropping, we are in the low 50s during the day and 20s at night. I'm ready for some Caribbean breezes! :woohoo:
