~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

We are half way through this week and oh so close to the trip! 2 1/2 weeks...ahhhh!

Finished my FE gifts and have my send ahead box packed...shipping it out tomorrow!

We are gonna get much of our clothes packed on Saturday since it is a totally free day and then I am out with my Mom & Sis on Sunday for our hair appts and to look for formal dresses. They are going on a 2 week Royal Caribbean cruise right after the new year.

Besides cruise stuff, I am also getting all this Girl Scout stuff prepped...we have our 1st meeting next Thursday and I still have to get the Parent Packets put together and a list of things that I still need for the meeting (it is the Parent Orientation meeting).

There's just so much to do & with 2 super high energy kids (3 & 5) to keep busy, I am pulling my hair out! Wel, not really, but you know what I mean. Thank God for kid's bedtime and my workout to calm me down each night!

WAY TO GO DARCY:cool1::cool1:

I have such work related reluctance this morning. :rolleyes1 Anything to keep me from working. Surfing the web, working on cruise stuff, anything. Thank goodness my bosses are gone for the time being.

I'm gonna make another run at work..... wish me luck.

Kids are starting to jump out of their skin for the cruise and we haven't even submitted the "vacation forms" to school yet! :scared1:

My clients are all on overdrive and I am trying hard to get ahead of the work so that I am not working every day on the ship. Not having much success but I'm trying. And between now and the cruise I have two biz trips (Fort lauderdale and NYC) to just make things even tighter.

Off to try to tackle a massive writing project that I really want to have done by the weekend.

When my counter gets into the teens I will really start to panic!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

No working on the ship! If any of us see you working, you will be kidnapped away from your work!

I just wrote the letter to bring to the principal today when I pick up about the kids being out, and I sent an email to the teachers last night.

Did some more Christmas shopping today (and birthday as the kids' birthday is 12/29). I have a friend who has a friend that works at Lego and can get GREAT discounts. Picked up 4 Lego Sets (3 Star Wars) and paid $40...retail price would have been $175 and one of them is retired and going for big bucks on ebay! woo hoo - I love a good bargain!

Didn't get all my work done unfortunately today, so will be putting in some extra hours this afternoon/tonight. :sad1:

I need the cruise to GET HERE NOW!!!

If you are participating in the FE, please try to attend the cruisemeet because if folks decide to upgrade staterooms at the port (or if they get upgraded by pixie dust beforehand but too late to post here), we want to have an accurate list. That's my public service message for the day. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Congrats on the weight loss! I am down 4.5 lbs in the past 2 1/2 weeks, would love to get up to 10 before we cruise, but with all this dang Halloween candy around and the stress level at work....it's HARD! :rolleyes1

I hear ya. I took the whole bucket of Halloween candies and hid it from my DS because I don't want him getting into it every 3 minutes. When I got hungry last night, I took it out and had intended on eating just a couple of Kit Kats. Then, I got to separating all of them by like and dislikes. After about 6 Kit Kats, 4 Nestle Crunches and 5 other pieces of mixed stuff because I just wanted to see what they taste like, I pretty much just reverse the effects of all the exercising I had done in the past 2 weeks. :headache: Can we say Stress Binger??!!!

Darcy - good luck on your refi. We just did ours 2 weeks ago. Hands are still sore from all the signatures

Tonya - congrats on the weight loss. Can't say the same on my end. :guilty:

Rachel - Congrats on finishing up your FE's!!

Have a happy day, everyone!

Ok, I just want to make sure that my kid isn't going to break some fashion etiquette. Can someone please tell me what cruise casual means for a 3yo? I think DH and I are ok. Can he wear a nice t-shirt & shorts?

Darcy and Tonya, congrats on the weigh loss!

Jeff, I agree...no work! (We took an RCI cruise with my brother-in-law a few years ago and confiscated his laptop!)

Annabel, your DS should be perfectly fine with his casual outfit. :)

Anyone else need the H2O Plus code for 25% off through tomorrow?

Somone on another message board asked what my user name means (thinking it was i lover ags...they just couldn't figure that one out!). Obviously no Disney meaning behind it, but it is i love rags. I collect Raggedy Ann's (my collection is over 1000 pieces). So, as you can imagine, I get pretty excited during MVMCP when the Raggedy's make their appearance in the stage show, and also the parade. (And yes, I do always catch a glimpse of them on Peter Pan in MK.) Just wanted to clear that up for anyone who was wondering what the heck iloverags2 stood for and what it had to do with a) Disney or b) Cindy, which is nothing! LOL

You guys, we are at less than 3 and a half weeks to the cruise!!!

I say absolutely!

Last year, DS wore nice shorts and a polo to dinner each night. That is his wardrobe for this year as well, except for formal & semi formal night. Formal night will be dark pants and a shirt & tie, semi formal night, tan pans and polo. Since he lives in basketball-type shorts and t shirts, I am thrilled just to see him in nice shorts (non-nylon, LOL) and a shirt with a collar.

Good point, Jeff!

I saw a suggestion on another thread that I thought I'd throw out to all the FE participants. What if I also posted a list on my cabin door and made any new upgrade/changes in red?

I can "mask the data" and only show your DIS name and cabin #...what do you all think? That way, if you miss the meet (maybe your plane is late) you can still get any updated info.

I will not be paying for an upgrade, and if I get upgraded from my Cat 6 to anything higher you will all know it as I'll be at the top of the red stack doing my happy dance. :dance3:

So...you can go by the cabin # on the FE list for me. :rotfl2:

I think it's a great idea. In my experience, at least one or two folks upgrade rooms at the port so I'd hate to miss someone's cabin for the FE. We have upgraded in the past as well and only a few people "found" us. So I guess the first stop for everyone distributing FE gifts has to be Darcy's cabin!

For anybody heading to the Kennedy Space Center; they are all out of free tickets through March of 2011. Got that wonderful news this morning. I was able to save $ going through undercovertourist though, so that helps. I'm really trying to get my *stuff* together but it sure seems like there's a lot more to do. Hope the kids got enough cruise-worthy clothes. Asked them a few days ago and they assure me they have it under control, so if they don't those kids running around wearing sweats in 80 degree weather will be ours. :sad2:

Yes, I am supposed to be working on my proposal and project plan and I can't stay away!!! :surfweb:

My FE came today! It came out great and I can't wait to see it outside my cabin in 24 days!!!

Back to work...must finsih before it's time to watch "Survivor"

It was a good Disney afternoon! UPS brought a package today. At first I thought it might be my FE (ha ha! that will be sooooo last minute), but then caught a glimpse of the return address...Disney Destinations. So, I wracked my brain to think of any travel agent collateral I might have ordered and not received yet, when it dawned on me...my totebag! I won a Disney Dream totebag in the AOL Disney Dream contest (an instant prize). Yep, that's what it was!

And I stopped by the local mall on my way home to pick up a b-day present for my mom, and as I walked around the mall, saw several of these (the perks of living in FL!)...

I am sooooo ready for a cruise!

Love that, Cindy! Congrats on getting the tote. I've been playing it every day that I can remembe, and nada. I still keep trying, tho. :)

I'm still waiting for my FE to show up. Don't have much more time to wait!!

Thanks you all for the cruise casual wear. Most nights he'll be in collared polos, but there are a couple of nights he'll be in a nice T. I did get him the cutest little knicker suit with bowtie and all. Can't wait to show you all. hehe. My DH said that this is the last year I get to dress him up like that, so I'm making the most of it. :)

I second this. Your ds will be dressed perfectly, not to worry! :goodvibes

Tonya and Darcy - CONGRATS on the weight loss!!

Heather - I hope your cabin assignment arrived!!!

Jeff - I'm right with you, I'll be in pure panic mode when the countdown gets to the teens!

Good night all!

Hello to everyone! I've been reading through many pages and have learned some very interesting things. My husband, daughter and I are new to cruising and will be joining all of you on November 27. We didn't book our cruise until October and I have been learning all about it ever since then. We are just learning about the FE and might be interested in this exchange. I now need to figure out how to make one or order one from someplace quickly! I'll also need to learn the ropes about how to locate everyone's FE to give out the gifts!

We are also new to cruising, but are serious Disney vets! I am travelling with my hubby, daughter (5) & son (3). Looking forward to hitting the decks in less than 4 weeks!

:goodvibes Rachael

THANK-YOU so much everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes for our niece. They are having a very small funeral and hopefully after that they can open up a new chapter with their little girl. Baby Clara is doing much better and is as cute as a button, hopefully will be able to come home with the next week or two.
