VA NanaTink - we use a travel agent, but my docs came straight to my door. Must be the way your agent is set up. All the folks in our group are using agents too and they get their's straight to there home too. hmmm. Didn't know there was that much of a difference.

On that note - any suggestions for where to eat on Turkey day in the parks???

Leslie

It is definitely the way the agency is set-up. Mine went to my agency, even though I'm the agent on the reservation...go figure! LOL! Now, I just need to intercept them before they go in the mail again and take another two days to get into my hands!

As for dinner on Turkey day, I would suggest either Liberty Tree Tavern at MK or Garden Grill at Epcot. Both serve wonderful Thanksgiving style dinners. Although I'm sure other restaurants will be changing up their menus a bit for the occasion!

We've had TGiving dinner at the Yachtsman Steak House the last two years. It's a prix fixe menu and you have a choice of an amazing steak, a vegetarian dish, a seafood dish or traditional turkey. Both years I said, "gotta have the turkey" until I got inside and smelled the steak and realized that for the cost of the meal, I wasn't having turkey and mashed potatoes! :rotfl2:

:banana:Yippee for everyone who received cruise documents!!!:banana: I'm so jealous - still no docs in the mail :sad2:.

I was looking for the "running around crazy guy" icon to add here but couldn't find it :rotfl:

Tomorrow I'm going to see the Dr. - I feel like I'm getting worse instead of better. Maybe I'll get some good drugs. I can't afford to waste another weekend!!!!

I have to complete 16 hours of Continuing Education online by Fri - I did 4 tests tonight. Going to try to do one more before bed.

All for now. Have a nice night!

Our cruise docs came today, too!!!!

Wow, aren't they so much nicer than the ones they issued 2 years ago?!?

:cool1:

And add me to the list of people who can think about nothing else, other than our cruise! I'm obsessed with it 24/7! :woohoo:

Wow. Hadn't logged in a couple of days and already 3 pages worth of postings! Guess we're all super excited about this trip in ... LESS THAN 5 WEEKS! :cool1:

Just got my cruise docs today ... now THAT's the way to start a Monday!

Jenny - Congrats on finishing your FE gifts.

Cindy - Congrats on the weight loss. It seems like no matter if I eat, don't eat, exercise, don't exercise. It's always the same. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother ... until I remember that I have to don a swimsuit in less than 5 weeks. Ok, just 5 more jumping jacks. :yay:

Leslie - Not sure if they have a Turkey Day special, but I'd think 50's Prime Time Cafe might be a fun place to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Darcy - Congrats on your Colts. Can't say the same for my Cowboys. :sad2: Am watching them get schmooshed by the Giants right now. No fun. Plus, our QB just got sacked and couldn't get up. Not a good sign.

It's already turning out to be a nutty week. I spent all weekend working on a proposal, hence I wasn't able to check in with everyone. Going with DS's preschool to the pumpkin patch on Wed, taking DS to our town's Halloween Walk on Thu, taking DS to "Boo at the Zoo" on Sat, going to an adult Halloween party on Sat night and taking DS trick or treatin' on Sun. Whew. At least the weather is still holding up here. Can't believe it's in the 80s in Missouri in late October!! LOVE IT!!

Quick question - does anyone know how I can find out when my dining seating is? I didn't see it on my cruise docs. When I made our reservations, 2nd seating was the only ones available and I asked to be on waiting list for 1st. Just curious how I can find out??

We are eating Tgiving dinner at Boma at AKL.

That sounds like where we would have it if we were in WDW. I am seriously jealous of that!

I am also jealous of everyone who has and is receiving their docs! I am on the cruise before this one (the Thanksgiving cruise Nov. 20) as well and I STILL haven't received my cruise docs for that one either! :(

I got home from work and there were my cruise documents. Yah Who. I smuggled them into the Orchestra Concert and read then during the concert.

Have a good night all.

Gailyn, I hope the doctor can prescribe something to help you kick whatever it is you have. Feel better soon!

As for the "running around crazy guy" (LOL! that fits him well), he is from one of my friends' website, so you won't see him here in the Smilies box. Just right click on the guy in my post and copy the properties from there!

Annabel, I believe you just need to go into View Details of your reservation to view your dining seating. If you booked through a travel agent, you will not have access to that yourself, but your TA should be able to look at it for you. Hope this helps!

4 weeks, 4 days!!!

I can tell we are all excited - 2 pages of posts on a Monday! :cool1:

I got my cruise docs yesterday as well, scanned through it quickly before Pilates. Then ran to Target (my 10% off was expiring yesterday) and picked up Halloween candy as well as some Christmas gifts! I have to start buying early since the kids' birthday is right after Christmas, so I just figure out what is birthday and what is Christmas after I finish buying. LOL

I have made NO progress on my FE gifts, but they aren't staring at me either as I've locked them away. :rotfl: Maybe this weekend (who am I kidding), maybe NEXT weekend when flag football will be totally over!

I still have some things to pick up for the cruise...mostly dressy clothes for DS. Will have to hit Kohl's sometime soon for those.

The time is flying by and I am feeling under-prepared compared to last year. Not sure why, but I just feel behind the 8-ball on all this. Perhaps its just that I've had NO weekends to do things with softball and flag football.

Off to put the kids on the bus and head to work. Happy Tuesday.

Gailyn - hope you get some meds to feel better

It's a WARM day here in CT...in the 70s it is CRAZY!

We are having dinner at the Yachtsman on Thanksgiving this year...our 1st Turkey Day away from home. We choose it because is one of our favorite Disney restaurants. I read your post to my hubby and he immediately said "Oh good, I can get my steak!" Since we are doing a full traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home for Christmas this year, we don't feel bad not having turkey on Thanksgiving!

:goodvibes Rachael

I’m home this morning doing CE credits on line.

I’m waiting to see if the Drs office will call in a prescription. I talked to the nurse this morning. I’m hoping I don’t have to go in :worship::worship:

We’re having Thanksgiving dinner at the Turf Club at Saratoga. Usually we’re at Yachtsman but thought we’d go for traditional turkey this year. We’ve never been to Turf Club but have heard good things.

Back to testing! Have a good morning everyone!

That's exactly what we have thought too. Now this year we aren't leaving until the day after Thanksgiving so we will likely have Turkey day at our house. We have reservations at the Brown Derby on Friday evening. Our plan is to see the Osbourne lights either before or after dinner, then dash over the Epcot for EMH...get some sleep and then DD12 and I are going to get up early on Saturday and race to DHS for EMH and ride Rockin Roller Coaster before our car picks us up to head to the port! I think Sat. morning will all depend on how late we stay at Epcot. It's great having annual passes to be able to do this kind of park visiting though.

Feel better Gailyn. Geez how are you going to meet us at Martini tasting and Wine tasting And.... :lmao: Ok. Just feel better!

Wow, busy group here this week! We leave on Thanksgiving to drive down, so maybe we will have turkey sandwiches in the car. :-) who cares, we will be on our way to your cruise.

The weather is starting to get cooler her, we have been in the 70's for months. it has been great, but I know that it can not last forever...

We have just completed our FE and now we are on to packing. Might have to buy some new luggage for all of our stuff.

Is anyone in the group looking into getting a Cabana on Castaway Cay? We are and are running into issues because we have 7 people in our parts. Might be wiling to split the cost with another group, if possible. Please let me know if anyone is interested in trying this. This assumes that we can even get a cabana when we get on board.

Gailyn, I hope you get to feeling better. Maybe your just getting it out of the way so you won't be sick on the cruise.

Hope all is well. I've been reading and re-reading my documents, filling all the stuff out on line, etc. Ok when can I leave?

32 days, 32 days, 32 days.

This is ALWAYS our tradition -- to drive down on Thanksgiving Day. Generally there is little/no traffic, as most people are already at their turkey day destinations. :rotfl:

Also ... Cracker Barrel always has a fabulous Thanksgiving Day feast. More than you can possibly eat (biscuits, turkey, ham, stuffing, sweet potatoes, other veggies) for about $8/person! Drink & dessert are included in that low price!!! Just can't beat that.

Their kids Thanksgiving Day meals are about $4/person and ANYONE can order those - no age limit (also includes drink & dessert). That's usually what my mom gets and its plenty of food! I might do the same this year!

We usually have to get our pie to go, cuz we're so stuffed!

:thumbsup2 Good to know. Might have to make a longer lunch stop.

Feel better, Gailyn! I hope the dr called in your scrip so you don't have to go see him!

I will tell you we LOVE Turf Club, Sulley is in love with their lamb whatever. I despise lamb so he's always happy to get it there! :goodvibes They make an awfully good steak too.

I should be working, yet somehow...a compulsion to be on the boards has struck :surfweb: you'd think I have a trip or something coming up.....:confused3

OH WAIT!!! I DOOOOOOO:dancer:party::sail:

:thumbsup2 Good to know. Might have to make a longer lunch stop.

We've often been lucky enough to just walk in and get a table.

If a particular Cracker Barrel has a longer wait time than we're interested in, we just hop back in the car and hit the next CB, a few exits down the road.

:lmao:
