Very nice - do you know about how much she usually charges? can you specify colors?

I can't remember how much we paid, but it looks like they run in the $30-$40 ballpark, depending on # of pockets. Tiffany is very good about working with you on customizing your FE, including colors. Check her out on eBay. :thumbsup2

Thanks, I did look her up and they are great. Just not sure if I'm up for spending that $$ on an FE. I did save it to my list though!

I got a cute little package from DCL and was thinking that I didn't remember ordering another DVD...well, it was for our upcoming cruise! A little reminder of our reservation number and important dates, and then a brochure.

As always, great marketing materials, which gets me even more excited for this cruise!

Just over 250 days til our cruise...I know it's still a while away, but wanted to bump our thread up in case others have booked and want to join our meet thread.

It's sunny and beautiful here in CT this weekend...we are spending lots of time outside enjoying the spring weather!

Happy Spring Everyone!

Thanks for the photo of the FE! My mom sews so I sent her the photo as a gift suggestion.

We got the package also, and it surprised us, as we didn't receive it for our first Disney cruise we took earlier this year. The family is very excited.

woo hoo - 239 days to go! Now if airfares would only go down so I can book my flights...

Airfare is such a crap shoot, isn't it? You just never know for sure if you should grab it up or wait it out. We bought ours a while back. We figured the # of travelers shouldn't be at it's worst since we're flying on Thanksgiving, but with it being right on the holiday we didn't want to get nailed on the cost. I've been watching it and so far it hasn't gone lower than what I bought our tickets at. :cool1: Gotta get that good deal you know!

Hi All! Would you mind if we joined in on the FE for this sailing? We just switched our cruise from the Nov 13th sailing to this one, Nov 27th due to the change in itinerary for Nov 13th. It will be just two adults! Cat 9 for now, but we will probably upgrade in the future.

Of course we don't mind! We now have 8 rooms in the FE, I am assuming we'll get a few more before we leave in 7 1/2 months. :thumbsup2

What changed in the itinerary for the 13th?

What changed in the itinerary for the 13th?

Key West is hosting a powerboat championship that weekend, so no ships can call on the port. Sunday, the 14th is now a Castaway Cay day (originally Key West), and then the regular Castaway Cay day the following Friday makes it a double dip. Very nice surprise for CC lovers (and I am one of them), but Key West is one of the ports we are looking forward to!

Just catching back up with this thread and was SHOCKED to see posts - LOL I guess my subscription thingy doesn't tell me when people are posting :rolleyes1 Still a newbie to actually posting on these boards.

Annnywaaay. I agree that I'm very ready to see flight prices go down some - it seems that they aren't lowering them until closer to departure time which is annoying for people like us that like to have everything planned out and done! ;)

I did finalize plans and we are going to be at WDW for the week before our cruise and I think we are going to throw one night at AKL just for good measure when we get back. This is an "all out" trip for us - 10th wedding anniv and DH's 40th.

I need to go back and figure out how the whole subscription thingy works and catch up to see what the previous pages have been about.

I don't REALLY know what FE's are? I mean I "know" what they are but haven't done any research into it. :confused3 LOL

Anyway - glad I finally found my way back here - it was hard to navigate back - again...newbie "issues" LOL

Sorry in advance for suddenly reappearing and then over-posting! I should have added that it's just the 2 of us, no kiddos.

Give me a bit to figure out the FE thingy. I "can" sew, but haven't in forever and it seems a bit overwhelming at first glance, but I have plenty of time to mull it over and figure it all out. :thumbsup2

Has anyone given any serious thought to excursions? We are toying with dolphin excursion at Cozumel and a beach day at Cayman. DH wants to try the parasailing at CC.

It's good to see some experienced cruisers here so that I can pick your brains! I still feel fairly lost and that's including reading the 2 Disney Cruise guidebooks that people bought me for Christmas!

Last time we went with shoretrips.com and were happy with our excursions. They use Capt. Marvin's in Grand Cayman, which was probably the favorite. My 12 yo DS especially enjoys talking about getting stung by a jellyfish while snorkeling! Not fun at the time, but a great war story for back home. :scared1: The only thing was we didn't do any excursions in Cozumel due to the weather. When we got back home we had an email stating that portion of our bill was being refunded, which it was. I thought their customer service was very good. We didn't try any of the Disney excursions, so can't comment on them. :confused3

Thanks for that info - I will go and check them out :thumbsup2 Being stung by a jellyfish isn't on my "to do" list :scared: I'm not a big fan of "sea creatures" being up close and personal. I did a snorkel trip in Caymans a long time ago (not on a cruise) where they fed the fish...all those fish in the water kinda freaked me out :scared1: They were coming from every direction and some of them were BIG!!! DH is a complete dare devil though - he's game for anything like that.

welcome - with the subscription, you can check a box to have an email sent if there are new posts, or you can just check your "subscribed threads" under the quick links to see if there are any new posts.

As for the FE, I am not a sewer at all, and for our last cruise, I just used a Christmas stocking as we went in December. I may just use that again this time as well! You can also order an FE off ebay if you want the ease of someone else making them, or there are directions on a thread somewhere that tells you how to make one yourself.

The FEs are fun, we all loved coming back to the room to see what goodies we got each day (sometimes more than once a day!). Ask any questions you want about FEs or other stuff, I'm sure someone here can help.

This is only our 2nd cruise, so I won't consider myself an expert, but these boards helped a LOT in our planning for our first cruise. Now I need to plan out some excursions for these ports. Key West is definitely one that I'm looking forward to as well...

Darcy - Thanks - I figured out the subscription thingy and got the box checked where it sends me an email :thumbsup2

The FE thing looks fun. I did try and do some research on it yesterday but those threads are REALLY long! LOL It was taking quite a while. My ? is -how does the gift giving part work? Does everyone get something for everyone on the exchange list for each day? One day?

Good idea on the stockings - did you just have one?

Darcy~ Are we 2 of the 8 for the FE? I think so, just checking ;)

We have looked at the Disney ones. I am hoping to do the Butterfly farm & Aquarium in Key West, Dolphins in Cozumel, and Boatswains in Grand Cayman... granted this will run $1202 for the 5 of us :surfweb: Might just have to check shore trips and see if I can get that price down! :goodvibes 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman does look great though... might have to look more seriously into that as well.

I am also pretty sure we'll fly in the night before and stay at the Hyatt in MCO, has anyone done that before?

I've done a lot of reading about FE...there's a LOT of posts out there :) and it sounds like fun, so count us in. When I get to 10 posts, I'll send a PM with our info. :yay:

The site for shoretrips is great - thanks for that info.

Seeing as I have had a busy non-productive planning day (and I'm trying to get to 10 posts for the honor of being able to send PMs) ;) is anyone else from the south/warmer weather? I'm a bit of a weenie about cool/cold water and so the thought of having an excursion booked where you HAVE to get into the water is leaving me pondering that whole deal?
