~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

Ok, I just looked it up...it's called Dine and Play, for kids 3-12. I believe it might be for second seating only, though. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes, Dine & Play is only at 2nd seating. We used it last year and it was great. Main dining is way too early for us, we don't typically eat dinner until around 7 in normal life, so no way would we be able to get us all ready for dinner at 5:45 on vacation!

The kids didn't want to do dine & play on Pirate night for some reason, we told them they would be more apt to stay up for that if they did...but of course, the adults don't know anything. :lmao: All 3 kids (we were with friends) fell asleep at the table! Our servers were great...they put together sets of 2 chairs for the kids to lay down on and they covered them with tablecloths as blankets. It was hysterical to see, but I promised my DS that I wouldn't take a photo. :goodvibes

Needless to say, they all missed Pirate Night.:scared1:

We told our kids they should go to the Kids club DEFINITELY on Pirate Night this year so they can see it.

As for shorts on cruise casual night, that is what DS and I believe DH wore on the cruise casual nights, but I can't be 100% sure about DH, perhaps he wore khakis.

DS will definitely be wearing shorts for dinner again this time.

The next day at CC, my DS saw one of our servers at lunch and he asked im how his nap was.

I noticed on the FE list that Rachel and Matt are directly opposite us on the 7th deck...should make it easy for everyone, up/down the aft elevators and we are right there on opposite sides of the ship! :thumbsup2

How's that....the 32-year veterans and the newlyweds!

Ok, I'm ready to go here! I can't even think about Thanksgiving...

That was so nice of you guys to randomly choose rooms near each other for the benefit of the other FE-ers. :rotfl2:

I agree about Turkey Day....luckily, we go to my moms, so I don't have to worry about cooking and cleaning before we leave. whew. Thanks, mom!

:rotfl: Me too!!!!!! OR Halloween!!!

All I'm thinking of 24/7 is 11.27.10!!!!!!

Can't get here soon enough!! (and then it will be over!)

... but then the countdown to 11.24.12 will start  ... it's the "circle of life"! :lmao:

It's always Cracker Barrel for us ... somewhere on 95 ... as we make our way toward the port ....

I  traditions!

Oh, always glad to make it easy on everyone since there are only the two of us on deck 7!!! :rotfl2:

And as to Turkey Day... I AM the Mom!! And I have to work half a day on Friday!!! :scared:

Happy Sunday everyone!! Just finished a day of running. DD Nicole was in a soccer tournament this weekend 45 min away. She had two games today. DS Matthew had two football games and a soccer game.

I'm so glad I get to sit down and rest now. Do you think it's too early for wine???:goodvibes

Was a beautiful weekend here in CT & we were out and about both days!

As for our Thanksgiving this year, we will be lounging at the Beach Club and then having dinner at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse. This is the first year we will be traveling for thanksgiving. I am usually the one that cooks dinner and we have about 20 family members over. I am actually gonna miss it, but am also excited for the new adventure this time of year!

Have a Happy Columbus Day!

: ) Rachael

Never, never ever too early for wine!! :rotfl:

What a beautiful weend! Spent both days outdoor with the family. Bought some pumpkins and gourds and took DS to a train show. Love, love, love it!

Have a great week, everyone!

I got all my magnets done today :cool1: I have to admit that it is somewhat addicting ;) I could easily make magnets all day long! :rotfl:

Leslie - I replied to your PM about Palo - we have decided to pass, but thanks for the offer - I've heard the brunch is AWESOME!! :thumbsup2

We will be at Wilderness Lodge for Thanksgiving :thumbsup2 We have lunch at Yak & Yeti, and are having dinner at Trails End in Ft. Wilderness and then plan on wandering down to the beach to watch the MK fireworks.

Speaking of wine...I have a glass sitting right here beside me...how convenient! :rotfl2:

Since DH and I are both off tomorrow for President's Day, we went out for dinner with two other families. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful evening - and a couple of beverages ;).

As for shorts on cruise casual nights, DS and DH wore khaki shorts and a polo type or "hawaiian" shirt.

We will be at WDW for Thanksgiving - Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. I can't believe it's only 6 weeks away. I hope we have good weather in FL.

I have so much to do. DS just tried on his suit - too small, that goes for the dress shoes too. Haven't had the guts to have DD try on her formal wear. I guess that I was in denial that their things would still fit. We had a family wedding in June and I thought the kids would be all set.

I'm leaving for the west coast all week for work. Then home two weeks then back out west for the week. I have a feeling time is going to fly!! :scared1:

Good night all,
Gailyn:goodvibes

For all of you that have today off, enjoy your long weekend!

Me, I am here at work (working hard, can't you tell?) and once again feeling behind in my preparations with everyone already making their magnets! I am still waiting for a couple of DISsigns to be created for me, and I'll make them all at once. I did save some from last year that I'll use as well, but gotta have new ones!

VA Nana Tink - WOW, you are cooking for Thursday, and working 1/2 day Friday and then leaving? :scared1: I am in awe!

For all of you celebrating Turkey Day at the World, enjoy!

I have to work 1/2 day on that Friday as well, but it's work from home which means logged on and last minute packing. :rotfl2:

Back to the grind....enjoy your day everyone, it's another beautiful fall day here in CT, hope it's that way "in your neck of the woods" (to quote Al Roker) :)

I'm right there with you, Darcy...at work today. Less than 7 weeks (not that I'm counting or anything).

We still haven't decided about Thanksgiving since I usually do the cooking. I don't care though...all I will be thinking about at that point is the cruise!!!

Happy Monday All!!!

I'm :scared: or
:lmao:

We are off today and I'm busy making our FE gift....can't you tell? :rotfl:
Sulley is watching Dexter. I'm even still in my pj's! :rolleyes1

I know that the time is going to sneak up with me, but I can't seem to get motivated to finish things. I'm currently focused on how we will tell our granddaughter she is going to WDW in December. Thinking of telling her on her birthday, she turns 4 on the 17th of November. That is only 3 weeks before the trip, or we will wait until Thanksgiving Day, that is only a week before. At 4 that's probably better, huh? :confused3

What a great surprise for your granddaughter! Yes, at 4, you may want to wait until Turkey Day, then you will be on the cruise and don't have to hear her asking if it's time to go yet. :rotfl2:

I am never good at keeping Disney trips a secret. My kids knew about all our trips a LONG time in advance. Although if I can book a mini getaway with my JetBlue credits, I am going to TRY to keep that a secret.

Our next door neighbors were able to keep their Disney trip a secret from their kids for a whole year! The kids thought they were going to visit Grandma, but when they got on the plane to Orlando, they finally broke down and told them. I can't BELIEVE they were able to pull that off! Whether you tell her on her b-day or Thanksgiving, that kid is going to flip! (If it were me, I'd tell her on her b-day b/c 1) you don't have to worry about another b-day gift and 2) you'll have a uber-excited grandkid for a few weeks.) Think about how excited we are - can you imagine how excited she will be??? Plus, you can milk it for a whole 3 weeks! :lmao:

... wish I had a grandma like you. :worship:

Awww thanks!

We've been planning the trip since December last year.... so far so good!
And as to having a gma like me...thank DVC!!!! We are taking the whole fam damily as their Christmas gift....they are all meeting us at WDW the day after we get back from the cruise. We have a Grand Villa at SSR. I have friends that are acting as Fairy Godmailers and sending her a postcard from Cinderella (her most FAVORITE princess). The boys are too young to know what WDW is yet, though DGS1 does know Micmou. '
For her birthday, we got her a princess suitcase with flashing wheels and some new Disney clothes.

I think we will wait until Thanksgiving, but I REALLY want to tell her now!!!:goodvibes

Whew - crazy weekend here. Billy has a gymnastics meet yesterday - he came in 4th and gets to have his picture in USA Gymnastics magazine so he is beyond excited! Now that it is over need to be 100% in cruise mode!

Congrats to Billy - that is amazing!

Nope, I'm done stressing over excursions...except for hoping that DH will let us off the boat for our excursion in Mexico. We have until 2 days before sailing to cancel, so we'll see!

I just cancelled Palo dinner and just kept the brunch. We wanted to dine with the kids every night instead. :goodvibes

I've started selling my Pampered Chef "stock" on Craigslist and it's going well so far. Posted on Friday night and have sold $80 worth so far. Have someone else coming over on Wednesday who wants a bunch of stuff, some of it is the bigger ticket items, so that is good. I think I'm going to stash all this cash for the iTouch fund since both kids are asking Santa for those this year! :scared1:
