~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

I have heard that it is around $100 per night to upgrade, so around $700 for a 7 night cruise. I think that this depends on what Cat you are starting in. We went from a 12 to a 5 (I think) on a 4 night and it was right around $400.

I hope this holds true for 7 night cruises as well. It would save us over $600 to be able to upgrade this time around.

Today was a getting-ready-for-cruising day! Went to Target and picked up the first batch of sundries and such. Then it was off to DSW for a pair of fancy flips for casual night dinners. Topped the evening off with dinner at Bahama Breeze where I had a Bahamarita (frozen mango, kiwi, and strawberry margarita with a citrus fruit schnapps float on top), Ropa Vieja, and Warm Chocolate Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

I'm so ready!!!

Sounds like a perfect way to get in the cruising mood!

After a ton of reassuring Q&A's on DIS board (and another sleepless night), we finally paid for our trip in full and even got ressies at Palo (just dinner - brunch was all sold out). Now the countdown really begins.

Questions - We're on main dining waitlist. Does anybody know when that will be confirmed? Ditto on table and dining rotation request?

Also, is everyone planning on meeting while onboard? If this was answered earlier, I'm sorry. I've spent majority of sleepless nights researching ... 'til now.

Thanks!

Congratulations to everyone that booked the Palo, spa and excursions that they wanted. That's such a good feeling to have that checked off the list!

I think we are going to book the Capt Marvin's all day with 3 stops on Grand Cayman. Still can't get consensus for Cozumel - Nachi, Dolpinaris or Fury Catamaran :confused3.

We went out for Mexican food and margaritas tonight to talk about cruise stuff. You'd think we would have decided excursions by now!!:rotfl:

We like to get to the port around 10:00 or 10:30 so we take a car service. As Jeff mentioned DCL transportation picked up too late for us.

Have a nice night everyone!

Gailyn:goodvibes

Congrats to everyone on getting their excursions, Palo, and spa bookings!!! We are getting ever closer!

Today is day 1 of pre-cruise diet and exercise. I went to work out at 6:00 and started using my "fit bit" recommended by the Cleveland Clinic. I decided that I don't want to go on the cruise and gain 5 lbs so I better take it off now

I was doing so well for the first 4 months of the year, working out 5 days per week or at least 4. Great results. Then we went on vacation for two weeks and it took me a month to get back to exercise :scared1:

Then issues with my thyroid lead to surgery and it was removed last month. It has taken me a few weeks to feel back to normal so I better seize the moment.

Anyone else on a pre-cruise weight loss plan??

Have a great day!
Gailyn

Go Gailyn!

I am there with you! My hubby & I are in weekk 7 of P90X. It is super intense, but so rewarding. Workouts are 6 days a week, 1.5 hrs/day with rest or stretch on Sundays. We also follow a strict diet & have actually changed our eating habits completely which will carry over throughout our lives. We should be done with the full 90 days by the 1st week of November and then we will continue a lite version thereafter.
I can't wait to see the results at the end!

Good luck with the workout!

< Alady89:

We always get to the port around 10:30 or 11. Just because I want the magic to start that much earlier and depending on whether I've discovered I've forgotten something at home and have to run by Wal-Mart or CVS. (a TOOTHBRUSH and curling iron one year):rotfl2:

We've done both with our rental car. We have taken the rental car to the port, unloaded bags then DH took it to the rental car place (taking the shuttle back by himself) and we have just pulled into the rental car place and let them take us (and our bags) to the port.

I know that Budget has a shuttle doing to the port. The shuttle driver was always nice and we always tipped him about a buck a bag.

We prefer to go to the rental car place rather than take the shuttle from the hotel. It gets us to the ship quicker. I know this year with it being just the two of us we will go to the rental car place and have them take us to the ship.

I hope this gives you some insight as to which way to go.

Wow! :worship: I am not worthy!! :lmao:

I was doing really well up until about a month ago, when my brain seemed to reject all forms of exercise and I have had a hard time getting back into it. :confused3

DH and I have been Weight Watchers lifetime members for about 4 years, but had to have some serious regrouping that started in November of last year to get back down to our goal weight. He got there about 2 months ago...I'm still ticking away with about 6 pounds to go. SO!!! No more excuses!! I'll use the motivation that you guys are getting after it to get back to it! I am not close to the intensity of P90X but need to get back to working out. The food part is pretty much a way of life for us now - and we are pretty good at getting back on track when we have a road bump.

Thanks for posting - I needed something to get my mojo back and hopefully this will kick my hiney back into gear! :yay: <- If I did this all day long I wouldn't have a problem! :rotfl:

Hopefully you got in Lisa. I was able to right after 11:00 pm (CDT) :confused3 I got everything I wanted. Mexican Cuisine Workshop in Cozumel, Parsailing and a couples massage on Castaway Cay and Palo dinner on the last night (DH's 40th). :thumbsup2

We are doing the Mexican Cuisine Workshop too! Sounded like fun!

DH and I have been working out and I actually lost 5...but then the new grandbaby came, we were at the hospital, then DH hurt his foot, so walking was out, and I got busy with other stuff and now I am back to procrastinating all over again :confused3

I WILL get back to it this weekend :yay: :rolleyes1

Man everyone is making me feel guilty about the 20 pounds that I gained since November. Of course, I do have the 21 month old that I quit nursing that caused part of it. I'm back to the gym and trying to lose most of the weight by then. Good luck with the diets everyone!

I am shooting for 20 more pounds (down 10 already) before the cruise and that will put me 1/2 way to my goal so you are not alone! Good luck to all us of working on this!

I love all the weight loss talk! For once in my life, I'm in the opposite situation. I'm pregnant with twins (13 weeks) and have lost 7lbs so far. So my goal is to GAIN 15 lbs by the time we cruise! :rotfl:
