ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

Date and Day - December 3, 2005 Saturday
Candlelight Processional showtime - 6:45pm
Name of narrator - Haley Joel Osment - the kid who saw dead people :goodvibes
Name of restaurant - Le Cellier - my first choice!
ADR time - 4:30pm
Number of people in your party - 3 (2 adults 1 child and a sleeping newborn who won't count in the party)

I called this morning at 9:30am when I got to work. I didn't hold at all and got exactly what I wanted!!! :flower:

Here is what I got:
Day and date: Thursday 27th December
CP show time: 6:45
Narrator: TBC as Gary Sinise cancelled
Restaurant: Alfredo de Roma (my first choice)
ADR time: 8:15 (what I wanted)
Number of people in party: 4 adults

I called at 7am Florida time (12pm here in England) and was talking to a CM by 7:05!

My strategy was to wait until the CRT people had called in today, dialed CRO @ 7:20 a.m. & waited well over an hour. After the 1st hour I got nervous, since I didn't hear the usual Dis background music, so I picked up my cell phone & called again. Felt like a fool with a phone in each ear LOL.

Finally, I was rewarded: 12/12; LeCellier @ 5:00 p.m. & CP @ 8:15 p.m. If we're lucky, we might catch the tail end of the tree lighting ceremony. Wonder if you can see it from the Canada Pavillion area?

CM mentioned nothing regarding cancellation or other policies. Is there any important "fine print" I should know about? I assume for dining you just show up with your voucher 10-15 minutes before your res as usual? I did inquire as to whether you receive a written confirmation, told "no". I'm the nervous type, like to have receipts in hand, etc. Guess I'll just hope for smooth sailing.

Day and Date: Sat., Nov. 26th
CP Showtime: 8:15 pm
Narrator: Rita Moreno
Restaurant: Marrakesh
ADR: 5:30pm
Party: Four (DH, ME, DD13 and DD9)

My youngest is an extremely picky eater! We tried Biergarten last year. I loved it, but I was alone in my opinion. My kids wouldn't eat anything! My DH wasn't the least bit impressed either. I hope Marrakesh will be better for them. I hope the Morrocan herbs and spices they use aren't the sort that you either love or hate. I'm hoping it has an appeal to a wide variety of taste buds. It looks like they have the reliable kids choices of chicken and hot dogs, so my DD9 should at least eat something. Hopefully my DD13 will like the food or I'll be buying her a hot dog on the way to CP. I wish they'd let her eat off the kids menu. At least then I know she'll actually eat what's in front of her. Has anyone ever experienced an older child that wouldn't eat the adult food choices? Will they at least bring her a hot dog or chicken strips so she doesn't leave on an empty stomach?

I just called and changed our ressie. I first had 12/7 for Biergarten at 4:30. I really didn't want to spend the extra at Le Cellier--you have to draw the line somewhere. The more I thought about it, though, the more I realized I'm paying about $10 extra per person for the CP show whereas the Le Cellier people are saving about $20 each because $45 for LeCellier is a much better value that $31 for Biergarten (which normally is $20.99 for dinner). So, I called--not thinking there would be any availablity by this time in the morning--but there was. I got Le Cellier for 12/7 at 4:20.

Once again, the financial line I drew got moved. Disney has a way of doing that...

Date and Day: Wed. 12/7
Name of restaurant. Le Cellier
ADR time: 4:20
Number of people in your party: 4

Here's our info:

Date/Day: 12/19 (Monday)

ADR time: 5:45 pm
# people: 3 adults

Can't wait!!!

Just called and got right through! I booked the 6:45 show on the 22nd, eating at Beirgarten afterwards. Dh wanted Le Cellier but I vetoed it, too much $$$ for a bunch of kids who hardly eat. I did not want to eat at 4:00, this way we will just have an afternoon snack and then eat the late dinner and take our time. I am getting excited! We were sorry to see Mr. Sinise cancel, can't wait to see who fills in. The kids are rooting for LeVar (LOL!)

Day and Date: Dec 10

Okay, I'm doing a "no no" - I currently have 2 reservations booked! Scout's honor, though, I will cancel whichever one we're not going to use within the next couple of days - just got to get buy-in from my group! LOL

Original Reservation made at the crack of dawn:
Date and Day: Thursday, 12/1
Candlelight Processional showtime: 8:15 p.m.
Name of narrator: Haley Joel Osment
Name of restaurant: Alfredo's
ADR time: 5:00 p.m. (the earliest I was allowed with the package)
Number of people in your party: 5 adults

Last-Minute-I'm-Totally-Overanalyzing-the-Situation-Reservation:
Date and Day: Thursday, 12/1
Candlelight Processional showtime: 8:15 p.m.
Name of narrator: Haley Joel Osment
Name of restaurant: Le Cellier
ADR time: 4:10 p.m.
Number of people in your party: 5 adults

After Ray brought up the point that not all WS restaurants open at 4 like LC, I called to see what time Alfredo's might open on 12/1. I was told they typically open at 4:30 p.m. So, even if I got a regular ADR for 4:30 for our group at the 90-day mark, I'm a bit nervous about only having a little over an hour to get in, eat, and then make it back around the WS for the Tree Lighting Ceremony (our goal since 3 of the people in my party will only have that 1 night in Epcot to see all the holiday stuff).

Called to see what I could get at LC around 11:30 a.m. EST. Was told I could get a reservation for 5 (we're booked as that in the system), but we will actually be sat 3 people at a table for 4, and 2 people at a table for 2, hopefully close to one another. (So, for all those looking for parties of 2 - it does seem like they can accomodate!)

Now, we just have to do the trade-off game - keep Alfredo's and hope for the best; or be guaranteed LC, a closer walk to the TLC at 6, but run the risk of not sitting together. Decisions, decsions...

If anyone has any thoughts - bring them on!

That's not a big no no! You will get charged for both on your CC so to me it a bit different then booking two regular restaurant ARs.

Hopefully, they credit your credit card for the one you don't want quickly.

Thanks to are TA we have Le Cellier at 4:30 and the 6:45 show on 12/15. It is perfect for us.

Date and Day Friday Dec 2
Candlelight Processional showtime 6:45
Name of narrator the guy who saw dead people
Name of restaurant. Marakesh
ADR time 8 pm (my choice)
Number of people in your party. 2

I posted this before, but it makes sense to have it all uniform and to include all the information.

I chose 8pm because I didn't want to have to worry about the show starting late or being able to make a quick exit. I asked the lady on the phone if 8 sounded reasonable, and she agreed that it is one of the recommended times for the 6:45 show.

We arrive earlier in the afternoon of this day. So I didn't want to make any earlier arrangements. We don't like eating that late, but this way I don't have to feel rushed through the meal. So we should be able to see the show, have a leisurely look around at the sights, and make our way to the restaurant.

The CP on this day seemed ideal, since I already had Marakesh down as where we would eat for dinner. So it made sense to get the package.

Date and Day: Dec 22nd Thursday
Candle Processional Showtime: 8:15pm
Narrator: ???? Gary Sinese according to Allears.net!???? Why? What? :confused3
Restaurant: Le Cellier
ADR Time: 4:10pm
Number in Party: 7

FYI, I got the LAST table available at that time at LeCellier! Do not want to miss the Christmas Tree Lighting at 6pm! I called later than I wanted to but had to double check on the number of people going. It took 23 minutes to complete purchase because computer froze on the CM. She was very nice though and said they were SOOOO busy today.
Another FYI - you can pick up package tickets at your Guest Services at WDW Resort, 7 day in advance to date! Great! Check in and get them at the same time.
This is so exciting! Getting closer now!

5:00 show with 7:30 ADR in Italy - this is our first time doing CP - will we be able to make it to the tree lighting after the 5:00 show? What would be the best/fastest way to get to the tree lighting? Thanks for all this information everyone!!! I'm so excited about this - it sounds just beautiful and I just love the holidays.
