°o° Let's talk costumes (MNSSHP!!!!) °o°

Hi,

Last year my 2 DD dressed at "hawaiian girls" with grass skirts, leis, etc. My Dh and I were tacky tourists with Hawaiian shirts.

The year before we made Dalmation t-shirts (black spots on white shirts), I found the girls Dalmation print skirts and the added tails. They also wore Dalmation-ear headbands and shoes. DH and I wore the shirts with black shorts.

This year we are going as The Flintstones...we'll just have 2 Pebbles.

We've really tried to keep the costumes simple and cool/comfortable. It can be very hot at night.

How did you do the black dots on the costumes?

We're thinking maybe Dalmatians. Not sure yet, though.

We used black fabric paint (Michael's or AC Moore). I put cardboard between the shirts before painting. This was a very simple costume that looked really cute. Well, at least on the kids.
