Reminiscing, sharing happy memories is a great thing to do, especially when it can make you smile.Okay, done reminiscing and rambling. . .hugs to all. . .
It's ok to have a 'daily rambling' as well...Hey Darcy, nothing wrong with a little rambling once in awhile! It's good for the mind to do that every so often. Dates at 1:30 am and a little ramble...all good stuff
Have a big hug and think happy Disney thoughts!![]()
It's a very healthy thing to do.We all need to do that sometimes, about the good and the bad![]()
You know Darcy, your reminiscing about DL got me to thinking of the time we went back in 79'.
We stayed at the Inn of Tomorrow(or Galaxy or Cosmic Age) and I remember flying in from Seattle to LA and looking out the window the whole way down. We left the same day that Skylab renetered the earths atmosphere and we were all scared it was going to hit our plane, lol.
I told everyone that it bounced off us and landed in Australia. I got called on that one.
Just a funny blurb from my past.

Just amazing, I lived in San Diego for 12 years and watched the dramatic changes happen to that city in front of my own eyes. I like the excellent lightrail system that didn't even exist when I first moved there. The spectacular improvements to downtown San Diego are beautiful. Only downside is the dramatic increase in population, which makes San Diego always seem crowded. Still, I miss Sandy Eggo....then moved back but went to San Diego instead. . .its amazing the changes that have gone on in that area in the last 10 years...
Good morning all!! I am finally on my long weekend! Yay! No work until Wednesday for me (unless they call me in but that is doubtful). Just a little over a month before I am in the World again, and I am so excited! i had forgotten about all the wonderful ADR's I made 5 months ago, and about the fact that this is going to be my longest trip to date. I have a feeling that this trip will definitely inspire me to do a solo again soon.
TGIF all!

Yes Darcy I believe you arrive the day after I leave! Bad timing!![]()
Hey all, I am finally home (check the time) from my DLR weekend with my son. We had an AWESOME TIME. It was supposed to be REALLY CROWDED this weekend as in it was VERY HARD to get a hotel ressie, but those crowds did not materialize at the parks. . .(maybe they all heard the crowds would be horrendous and decided their first weekend should be doing San Diego or Universal). Whatever, it worked for us. The longest line we stood in was the expected longest line and that was for Toy Story Midway Mania. Talk about a FUN, FUN, FUN ride. We actually managed to go on it twice. We also did a BUNCH of stuff we have not done in a while just because we didn't experience heavy crowds at all.
I'll post more about the experiences after I sleep and then wake up later. I have been driving forever and am way too wired up on caffeine to sleep but want to go through all my pictures and upload them to my photobucket for later today. But I have to go to the store and get some REAL FOOD. .
Talk to all of you when I get up. . .
Welcome back Matterhorn!
Thanks again!! I think last year was WAY too soon for me to be on here!! I needed to get myself and my life in order after all that, and actually, I am loving life the way it is right now!!
Andrea
Here is to a better year!!! I can relate a lot to that.![]()
Yes, I think this year should be great!
So when are you gonna head over to DL? I think the singles need to do a meet on the left coast, don't you? Actually come to think of it, I am sure more of you DVC owners will once Grand CA Villas open!!!
Andrea
I plan to be out there at some point before the end of next year and am hoping before summer. I have 2 tentative trips out of the country then. And yes, the DVC would be a plus. But not necessary as I would be willing to stay close and walk over.
There has been some talk from some of the singles about going. Guess we could start feeding that bug too, since there is one going for the Oct. 2009 singles trip![]()
