~ °O° ~ Any Single Disney Men Out There?? ~ °O° ~ Part 4

I think we should!!! There was a ladies only DL meet this past April and it went great. I met up with a few friends but I had my kiddos with me so did not participate in most of it!!

Feed the bug, feed the bug. I would totally some to a singles meet at DL, that would be great. A friend owes me a few overnights for my kids, and this I would be willing to save them for. I cannot even imagine a trip without them, but I'm sure I'll muddle through!! ;)

Andrea

well I guess we need to put that out there then... will talk to a couple people and get some tentative time frames from ones who had talked about going. And when a friends Disney wedding is :goodvibes

Awww, thanks!! That would be great. Also, I may just upgrade my WDW pass next year to an AP that way I might be able to make a singles meet in 2010~

Andrea

Yes, I think this year should be great!

So when are you gonna head over to DL? I think the singles need to do a meet on the left coast, don't you? Actually come to think of it, I am sure more of you DVC owners will once Grand CA Villas open!!!

Fabulous, I have such bad timing!!! Congrats on the retirement!!! Great way to celebrate it!:banana:

I'd love to make it down there, but with a 14day trip in Nov/Dec 2009 to the WDW, I doubt I'll be heading to DL at all those two months!! Sadly, when my AP expires next June, I won't be renewing for the first time in a lot of years. So I won't be at DL at all from July 2009 until sometime in 2010!! That is gonna be really tough!! :scared1:

Just went with my kiddos two weeks ago, wasn't that a GREAT ride? We got in line super early at CA and it took us about 25 minutes to get on, not too bad!! By the time we got off the ride, the line was over 2 hours!!! :eek: Glad the crowds were light for you, I might try to sneak in another trip this summer then~! Otherwise, I have a looooooooong wait till October for the Halloween party.

Are you here in Vegas or is that old in your location? I read something about you moving. I have thought about it also but I just cannot bear to be any further away from DL than I already am!!

Andrea, yep, I am here in Vegas. . .actually live in Henderson. I'll probably move away from the desert in the Spring.

Been a bunch of years since I visited both WDW and DLR within one 12-month period. I usually alternate between the two, either a week or so at DLR or a fortnight or so at WDW. Back when, bought an AP for WDW to make 2 visits within a 12-month period. It worked out well. However, flying is such a hassle these days I try to avoid it as much as possible. I flew to LAX from FAT, last year. The previous visit to DLR I drove. I'm on the fence as to which mode of travel from Clovis, CA, is less of a hassle to get to DLR.:confused: Wish there were a direct rail link from Fresno to Anaheim. Now that would be sweet.

Well sorry to hear that you are leaving, but happy for you if it a a move you desire to make!!! I'm over in Henderson too, Green Valley to be exact!

I'm also posting on the 1/2 Ton thread as a friend and I will be there the first two days of that trip.

I am assuming Clovis is right near Fresno. I am actually heading up that way next week to visit a dear DIS friend that lives in Merced. She flies out of FAT to come down here all the time!! I am sure she would love a direct rail too instead of bus to Bakersfield and then catching the train!!

Flying can be a pain though, especially when the driving distance is 5 hours or less!

Good morning everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful day :goodvibes

It's about a 10-mile drive to FAT from my house. My job will take me through Merced, Wednesday. I usually pass through Merced several times each month. I usually stop for supper at Marie Callender's in Merced.

Good morning everyone. . .I am totally sitting here figuring out my life. . .rememeber I am leaving the desert before next summer so need to have a plan . .

Today I decided to go get chinese food and picked up 3 fortune cookies. . .lol. But maybe they are an omen or a revelation. . . here are the three fortunes. . .

1. Follow the advice of your heart. . .

2. The road before you is long, drive safely. . .

3. Learn to broaden your horizons. . .day by day. . .

Does it look like to you that I need to leave my local area and move somewhere long distance?. . .lol

I used to be into horoscopes until I found myself losing all my money via a failed relationship. I remember always sayingto myself, "That other guys horoscope is better than mine, I wanna be a Taurus instead!!" They always live a better life.

Well, I've given up horoscopes and have now taken up fortune cookies.(I like the "in bed" thing, it kinda brings a new twist to my fortune, at least that's what my Pastor says.)

I'm kidding of course..... About the Taurus thing. Their life really sucks. lol.

My priorities in life are:
  1. Location, location, location;
  2. People I'll live amongst;
  3. Job;
  4. Income.
To date, I've pretty much lived everywhere I was curious about around the globe, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, S. America, Central America, etc. Never had a plan per se, just up and went, usually off the beaten path. Thinking back at times, I wonder how I pulled it off in places where I didn't speak the language and nobody spoke English.:laughing:
Anyway, my general view is we only get one go on this planet, so go for the gusto and have fun doing it.:cool1:

I don't believe in horrorscopes or fortune cookies but hey, it just seems to work for me at the moment. . .but there can always be a twist I am unaware of. . .

I followed #1 for the better part of the last two years and all it got me was some severe heartache and a lot of wasted time and effort. So, perhaps it should have an addendum of some type..."but if it seems too good to be true, listen to your head" :confused:

As for the other two... two thumbs up!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
