Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. I got some much needed playtime but am now home and at work and back to the realities of every day life.

Post vacation blues are kicking in.

Good Morning everyone
Weather here currently is overcast and in the 70's...highs going into the low 80's and hopefully some sun.

Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July weekend! :goodvibes

Ok...time for that first cup of coffee to kick off my Monday morning, back at work...:surfweb:

Good morning everyone. . .supposed to be 112 here today, its already in the 90s at 6 in the a.m. Oh well. . .

Good Morning everyone :goodvibes
I'm ready for the first cup of coffee...anyone else?

Enjoying the sunshine today and daydreaming about Disney vacations...August sounds good!lol Have you finished adding to the DL trip report yet? I want to get there too someday.
Anything Disney related is a good way to spend the weekend!lol
August does sound good...:)
So...start packing and we'll head to Disneyland too!
I'm sure there are ways of having a Disney related weekend even when you're not at Disney...:rolleyes1

I finished Disneyland Park, but still gotta do California Adventure.
The pics of DL were great Darcy! :thumbsup2
Can't wait to see more of California Adventure...make sure to bump up the photo thread with those pics also!

I used to work in a nuclear power plant and I remember standing in front of the main feed pumps during my watch in 120 degree temps and thinking WHY? This is just unbearable. Now I can see the 90's as bearable for a few hours but not the 100's. I like being outside too much to miss it.
Are people's bodies that different? It would seem to me like living on the moon and having to hold your breath to get to your car, lol.
Maybe it's just my Norwegian blood. It's just always amazed me that people could live in this type of physical environment. I'm just curious Darcy, that's all.
I was in Vegas last year for a convention for a week and had a great time, during the winter. I was just wondering about the heat thing and how YOU dealt with it.

Interesting. Ever since DCA opened, I frequently criss-cross between both parks when visiting DLR. Can't imagine just enjoying one park for a whole day. When at WDW, I do the same thing, visit multiple parks each day. Being solo does make hopping around between parks a little easier, though.

You obviously have not read my posts about this being my last summer in the Desert. I actually grew up on the California Coastline so I am NOT used to the desert heat. I have only been in the desert since July 2003 and I cannot WAIT to get out of here. . .lol.

So the Florida heat probably does not bother you. I cant imagine 120.

Haha, like your desert GIF.:rotfl: BTW, our local temperature forecast is for a chilly 106F (as compared to nurse.darcy's locale).

My son is in the La Quinta/Palm Desert/Palm Springs area and its supposed to be 118 where he is today. . .

I did this while I was in the Navy. I used to work on the USS Nimitz in #2 plant (not that #2).
I remember doing my watch (graveyard) once in only boots and underwear, lol.
