We're not entirely sure yet because little official from Disney has come out on it. What has been said is that FP+ will replace the normal way you get FP. Instead of going to a kiosk and putting in your ticket you will use a smartphone, computer or digital kiosk at the park or resort to reserve FP times for up to 3 attractions per day. The details are sketchy on if that 3 number is a hard and fast number or if that will fluctuate. You will also be able to select those times 60 days in advance or 60 days + 10 days if you are staying on property, similar to ADRs. The FP selection will expand beyond rides to include certain QS dining and parade, fireworks and show viewing locations. Time will tell how well it works, but it will all be tied into your MagicBand that is replacing your KTTW card.

I tried to go to My Disney Experience and the old site is coming up. I am freaking out though because all my dining reservations aren't coming up. I thought it would be cool to be able to add my son's birthday celebrations in the old system, but I can't even see our Tusker House reservation for the morning of his birthday! All these changes make me both nervous and excited!

I was only able to get on MDE for the first time a few days ago but had finally accessed it and linked everything. I just checked.. not a single thing I had saved is there. We know they've been working on the site for a few days now. Something is up. They might just be getting ready for the rollout. I'd be surprised if it was up and running with no announcement but really.. anything could happen.

My MDE page is not showing any reservations either. I don't have anything showing about FP+, but I agree with everyone else that something is up.

That was my reaction - part of me is dying to see it in action and the other part is afraid it's too soon!

Ok, now that I've wasted the past hour obsessively refreshing MDE and posting about it each time on FB, I think I need to let the Disney IT team do its job. I wouldn't be surprised if by tomorrow this will be a distant memory and we won't see anything regarding FP+ for another month!

Has everyone made lots of ADR's for their trip? I just made two tonight...I like planning but hate committing to things...weird combo I know!

We have ADR's for dinner at Olivia's, Breakfast at Crystal Palace and lunch at Hollywood and Vine (all on different days).

May make more before we get there

I work in IT and we NEVER do changes to production stuff during the middle of the day. I'm amazed that they are tweaking stuff in the middle of the day. My guess is that it's a code rollout to the server farm and it just hasn't reached all of the different servers yet. It will likely be more consistent, either there or not there, by tomorrow.

At any rate, I think this means the MyMagic+ stuff is on it's way. Might be another reason for the rehabs and closings in August. Partial rollout to resort guests in August and full rollout in September?

Oh well, only thing we can do is wait and see. Grab ya popcorn!
