58 days today. My excitement level is pretty much less than nothing right now
I have a wisdom tooth that needs to come out that started hurting last night. I am in agony this morning and waiting until I can go pick up my antibiotics and for this round of painkillers to kick in. Pretty sure I have a fever. It's a nasty infection

Before I started hurting last night, my parents closed on a family cottage they made an offer on! It's for all of us to use (6 kids), is on it's own island, and is 6 hours north in a BEAUTIFUL part of the province. This all happened very suddenly. My Uncle owns a cottage on the island behind it and when he saw the listing they moved fast so we wouldn't lose the chance. It's within swimming distance of the little island my Uncles place is on, and he has 4 kids. So it's will be a big family place for us all to go to for years and years. We all get along wonderfully and I am almost wishing we knew earlier so we could have planned to spend the week in August at the cottage instead. Don't get me wrong..we love Disney but we're going in December too.

In fact, I probably would cancel, but the trip in December is a surprise so my kids will just think we aren't going at all and they'd be so sad.

So sorry to hear about your tooth. I had all my wisdom teeth removed because most of them were impacted, so I know how you feel. I hope you start feeling better soon!

That cottage sounds amazing. I love that it will be a family retreat for everyone, how nice! Honestly, I would be tempted to go to the island in August as well. If you went that route, you could let the kids know about December instead of making it a surprise, or if you kept it a surprise, then they would be that much happier when they find out!

52 days here! I thought it was more than that. Getting pretty excited because most everything is lined up. We need to pick up backpacks for the girls to have autographed, new swimsuits for at least DD2 and make the decision on if we want to have food and/or water delivered to the room.

I've done some playing around with the new camera and it's pretty nice. It takes great pictures and the fact that it's waterproof, shock proof and takes pictures and HD video makes it a great choice to take to the parks. Easier to carry around than the DSLR and camcorders for sure.

The kids are distracted with family being out of town, so the anticipation isn't even building for them yet. I'm hoping that we can hit a bunch of things we didn't see before. We've hardly put a dent in Epcot. The water parks are going to be a new experience. Looking forward to RNRC as I've never been on it and Star Tours as my kids are now familiar with Star Wars and I haven't been on it since it's been redone. Pirates League should be fun and we'll get the first taste of traveling with a friend instead of just family.

Lastly, I'm just hoping that we have a fun and drama free trip.

lol, there is a thread over on the Theme Parks board that a mom is having that exact problem with her DS and DH.

Me.....I can't understand it either . I always feel so blessed to go on vacation.....ANY vacation!

52 days! We are very excited! DD4 has a mysterious infection, so we're trying to sort that out right now. Disney is always in the back of my mind. Can't wait for her to start feeling better. I think we'll be ready for a vacation after all of this. I know she and I will be.

60 days for us too! Just did online check in this morning. I can't believe it is so close for some of you. I am excited for all of us. This is the first time we have gone at the end of the summer. I hope that I'm not wishing our summer away. Usually we go in the fall and it's like a summer extension. Whatever, it will be great.

Just coming off my every 3 weeks, 8 days off work. I only have two more 8 day stretches off before our trip and the one in July we will be camping so, that leaves the first week in August and we have tentative family plans for a few of those days...so I have been scrambling knowing that this was my last bulk of days to "get stuff done".

~I have our park days planned
~Meal list planned
~Dining reservations done
~Decided on using Garden Grocer
~Cleaned out our "Disney Closet"
~Bought mister fans
~Bought new rash guards for kids, Lands End had a good sale
~Stocked up on sunscreen, Meijer had a sale
~Bought the kids a new surprise Tshirt, Monsters U
~Bought my oldest new slides to wear, everyone else has Crocs that still fit
~Bought a new hat for me.

Need to do yet:
~Figure out grocery list for Garden Grocer and what I will bring from home
~Buy from Amazon; new Presto Fold away Electric Fry pan to pack and bring with us, Vacation Vault for by the pool and at water parks, 2 Frogg Toggs Cloths
~Make a paper itinerary. (Love my iphone and apps, but also like it on paper if I decide to go sans phone)
~Arrange for House/Dog sitter
~Arrange for someone to drop us at airport
~Stop mail
~Pack!!

I'm sure there will be more, but it feels good to have some stuff done.

We have 34 days until we leave home and 36 days until check in!!!! We are EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!! We have a lot to do between now and then though. Mom is fully moved in with us and turning over her apartment keys tomorrow. My house looks like a tornado hit it!!! We have to completely clean out the basement before we go because it will be painted and have new flooring put down while we're gone. That is going to be a huge job and we have a short time to do it!! But it will all work out and be awesome!!!
Now, if we can just keep Josh healthy enough to go, things will be WONDERFUL!!!

Yes. He wants the infection gone before he takes it out. So I pick up an antibiotic after 5 (they called it in). The appointment to take it out is next Wednesday morning. I should be good after about 48 hours of the antibiotic though. Thank you for the hug.

We are at 57 days today. Most days I am excited as can be. Today, I am more stressed than anything. It is our first time there and I don't want to overlook something I should be planning. I also am second guessing everything that I have planned, because, we haven't been there, so are the things I am planning the "right" things for us? So, the closer I get, the more stressed I am becoming. Trying to relax, but it isn't easy.
