My daughter and I will be at BWI September 11th - 14th!!! First time at BWI and first time for MNSSHP!!!

Ooooh, you are going to LOVE MNSSHP! I've only been once, but going again this year. Can't wait! The CMs really get into the spirit (so to speak haha) and make it that much more special. Be sure you go to the haunted mansion during the party!

FIRST TIME VISIT!! My husband and I are coming September 13-20 staying at Port Orleans Riverside

We will be there 14-20. Not sure of itinerary. It is my 5 year old daughters MAW so we will be staying at Give Kids the World. It is my husband and I and our 3 kiddos. Our wish kid is the baby.

We have been once before ( stayed at Shades of Green). We went in July that time. How is Sept different from July? I have heard it is less crowded.

Oh and she has no idea yet. We have not had her wish reveal party. She wished to go to Disney and meet A&E.

Thats awesome!! A surprise wow she will love it Sept is one of the best times to go down crowd wise, it has been historically the least crowded time of the year, and when you will be down you can expirence Food and Wine, MNSSHP (Mickey's Not so scary Halloween Party) and the low crowds. It is a great time to go down.

28 days until FP+ selections and online check in, my trips paid off and all my ADRs are made.. Idk what to do with myself! It's taking everything in me to NOT start messing around with my ADRs

88 day countdown!! 1st timers staying at the Riverside and attending MNSSHP... My excitement cannot be contained! September can't come fast enough!!

First time visits are so special!! And Riverside is beautiful! If you have any questions or need any advice, this is the place to come. Everyone is so friendly and so willing to share what works and what doesn't.

83 days left (I think, I'm trying to stay off my cell phone today. I drain my battery too quickly!) for us. I think I have about 3 weeks until I can make FP+ reservations. This Friday I can make a payment for 1/2 of the package total that's left (which is not very much thankfully)!

Just couldn't let the opportunity to travel in Sep/Oct slip by, since we only have two years left of year-round school. Once DD starts High School, it's all over. Boo!

So sorry your baby is sick, but so glad she will get her wish!!! I guess I shouldn't call a five year old a baby, but my youngest (31) is still my baby!

September is so great in that the crowds are so low, you can get a lot done even without fast passes. That leaves the really hard-to-get attractions for fast pass. A&E are definitely in that category! It's still really hot, but we get to the parks at opening and experience everything we want at least once, have lunch, then go back to the resort to swim or relax, then back to the parks for the evening when it's just a little bit cooler.

If it's not too crowded, they may let you. I didn't try it, so I'm not sure. Just be on your toes is all I'm going to say… And there are "ghosts" outside that you can get pics with.

Thanks for the reminder! I'm now at 28 days from FP+ selections! I'm setting a reminder since it seems to be coming up faster than I realized. Hope you get everything you want!

Ooooh, 9 days…yay!! MNSSHP is awesome, but it may depend on who is in your party. There is a special parade that begins with the head-less horseman which is very cool and then a special fireworks show as well. It's a great chance to do a M & G with the seven dwarfs if that's important to you, and the trick or treating is so fun…even for adults. You probably already know all this, but thought I'd mention stuff just in case.

We just love MNSSHP! I didn't realize they started that early in September. Great way to kick off your trip! Are you doing costumes? It was so hot when we went two years ago, we just did Halloween t-shirts with Haunted Mansion on them, but I LOVE seeing all the clever costumes people come up with.
