Ok I'm also a little blonde today but can someone refresh my memory, the plastic tags come from Disney themselves right, not DME? Also does anyone know what this years design looks like?

Yes, the luggage tags come from Disney Travel. I have no idea what the design is for this year. We have so many tags from each year, it's crazy! But, I always look forward to getting then just the same.

I cannot wait to expirence the low crowds. I am hoping that wait times will be more manageable (especially with Anna and Elsa) I am an Annual Pass Holder so I can't book fastpasses for 30 days out instead of 60 :worried:. We do have a few days planned to be at the MK at rope drop so hopefully if I can't get a fastpass we can atleast see them first thing.

Your plan to make rope drop and get straight to Anna and Elsa is a good one if you don't get a fast pass. I think that they will be extremely popular for quite some time to come. I hope you make it!

I know a pp said it was pleasant for them in September, but we almost always go in September and, for us, it is HOT!! I'm glad they experience it differently. But our plan is: we go early, ride everything we want to at least twice, have lunch and go back to our resort to relax in the room (read nap!) or go swimming in the pool. then, we go back to the parks in the evening when it is slightly cooler. We have never experienced anything but hight 80s and 90s, and we've gone all but the last few days of September. I also take a small hand held mister fan that helps a lot. And sometimes I take a washcloth from the room and wet it periodically in the restroom. It really feels great to use it on my face and neck. I put it in a ziplock bag I bring especially for that purpose. And it's true that so many attractions are in AC, that helps a lot. Don't let the fear of heat dampen your excitement for going to Disney. You'll be just fine!

That's what I thought. I was having a blonde moment. Lol. I'm not used to getting my DME tags so early so it kind of threw me off. :)

I thought I'd put my fam on the Sept '14 thread looooong ago, but maybe not??? Anyway, we'll be back Aug 30-Sept 6th, at POR.

Only 70 days…..only 70 days……only 70 days…..only 70 days…..:yay:

I asked to be put on the list last week when I booked, but I'm not there either! :confused3

I noticed that the OP has not updated/edited the list since April……...

89!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woot woot woot, new decade and I do miss the 80's!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

95 days and counting. I'm super excited for my first EVER trip. Seems so close, but soo far away. I feel as if I have sooo much to do and soo little time....ahhhh. Disney obsessed and my friends/family think I'm crazy :-p

we added MNSSHP on 9/1 :hmghost: our first time going! Now the dilemma of costume decisions...lol....DH is reluctantly going along with costumes as long as they are not hot, expensive, time-consuming, and do not get in the way of rides at all. easy-peasy :rolleyes1 nah, I got this :thumbsup2

First trips are so magical!!! This DIS is the place for people who get strange looks when they want to talk Disney all the time!!

Oh one more thing...best place to get the most out of your snack credit at each park? And Go :-) TIA

I usually end up grabbing last minute Mickey rice crispy heads and such. We rarely are hungry for snacks during our stay with the dining program. BUT, anything at Starring Rolls Cafe in Hollywood Studios is fantastic and a lot of bang for your snack credit "buck". I've heard wonderful things about the jalapeño cream cheese pretzels at Animal Kingdom, but have not tried them myself (don't like cream cheese!). Sorry I'm not more help!

You will LOVE the MNSSHP!! It is so special! Good call on the costumes not being too hot. We went Sept 13th and just wore T-shirts with the haunted mansion on them. It was HOT!! out and there was no way I was going to wear anything major. I've heard of families going as Mickey Mouse Club members, which is an easy t-shirt. There are extremely talented people here on the DIS who do designs you can download and iron on to t-shirts. Just have fun with it!

I do hope the OP is doing alright, since we haven't heard from them in a while.

Meanwhile, to get the excitement revved up a bit, how about everyone letting us in on what you are looking forward to the most on your trip? Favorite attraction? Favorite restaurant or parade? If it's your first visit, what are you most anxious to see?

For me: I'm looking forward to the first sight of the castle. We always start and end our trips at the MK. I just love that first walk down Main Street; the sights, smells and sounds. Lunch at BOG is way up on the list of must do's as well.

Anybody else care to share? Lets get excited together!!! We're going to DISNEY!!!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

The OP got engaged this year so I am sure she is really busy with wedding plans.

As far as what I am so excited for....My wife and kids faces. My wife has never been and we are surprising our kids, we are not telling them until we hop on ME (the oldest is 4 and a half). Then check in, and right over to Main Street. I just want to watch them walk in, see the castle, get their Mickey Ears, etc.

I still have many memories from my first trip when I was four and I cannot wait to see them experience all that Disney World is.

This is what I'm waiting for too!! Well, my husbands face, not wifes. ;) The kids know we're going but they're 3 and 10 and I just want to see the excitement on their faces. My husband is being a little bit grumpy about it but I know when he gets there and sees the kids excitement, he'll be just as excited.

The first time I went I was 12 or 13 and I remember the wonder I felt then...I can't wait to see the excitement of a younger child, my daughter is going to be so over the moon. I can't wait. My son is expecting something like Cedar Point, so watching it dawn on him what it really is is going to be amazing! pixiedust:

Oh that's so great!! I was hoping it was something good keeping her away!:goodvibes I was very late coming to this thread, so wasn't sure.

Oh my gosh…that will be amazing! What a surprise for those kiddos! And a first trip for your wife, that's so special! You will be grinning ear to ear so much your face will hurt. I won't lie, I still get a little misty when I spot the castle!

I still have many memories from my first trip when I was four and I cannot wait to see them experience all that Disney World is.

I'm so glad you never outgrew your love of Disney and still remember your first trip. Magical!

Tell him that there is only one Grumpy allowed at Disney (and he wears tights:rotfl:)! I'm sure when he sees your kids' faces light up, that will change everything! (esp. the 3 year old's)

I went to Disneyland when I was 15 and it's much like you said. Just the wonder of it all. Like, how did they do that?? How can they make things seem so real? I sure hope that your son enjoys everything. There's just so much fun to be had!!

Since you mentioned Cedar Point, are you from Ohio? That's where I live.

Anyone else want to share their excitement? ShhhQ will you be wowing us with your drawings this year when we get closer? I hope so!

I am looking forward to seeing the castle on our first day there. We will arrive the day before in the afternoon and will have a resport pool day before dinner at Boma. I cannot wait to see the look on the kids and my DH's faces when we pull into AKL and see all of the animals. This is our second trip and a first for September. We went for the first time last August and DH said if it's as crowded this time, we won't go back. :) From what I am reading, I don't think we will have an issue.

Definitely not our first trip, but our first MNSSHP. I can't wait to see the Headless Horseman during the parade and the "Hallo-Wishes"! :)

Thanks for the tips! Can't wait, excited about EVERYTHING disney :-) still debating whether or not to squeeze in blizzard beach.

How hot is it in early September? We are going to MNSSHP on the 9th and my kiddos want to wear their Elsa and Darth Vader costumes from the Disney store? Will they be too hot? If so, any suggestions?

AKL is sooo amazing! You should see the huge tree they put up at Christmas time! unbelievable! I don't think you'll have anything to worry about crowd-wise. We've gone several times in September, different weeks and found most things to be little to no wait. Of course the biggies will be different, but that's what fastpass is for. And it gets a little crowded at parade and fireworks time, but that's understandable.

Definitely not our first trip, but our first MNSSHP. I can't wait to see the Headless Horseman during the parade and the "Hallo-Wishes"! :)

That parade is fantastic! The headless horseman is breathtaking. I was told to be in Liberty Square for the best view of him, but I think anywhere would be good. And Hallowishes is my favorite fireworks show. The whole place just has such a special vibe to it. You'll love it!! Also, if you're into pins, they will have pins that are made available only to the MNSSHP goers.

How many days are you there? I love BB! And it's a great way to beat the heat.

We've gone at that time and it is HOT! But…as the evening progresses for the party, it does get cooler. Kids tend to not feel the heat as much, so I think the Elsa would be fine. The Darth Vader may be okay, but keep in mind how much the black will draw the heat. You might want to bring along a change for them just in case. At least many of the rides are in AC, although all the trick or treating is outside.

Just FYI, I read on another post that the EMH have been changed through November. You may want to go check to see if these changes will effect your plans. Go to Easy WDW to check.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Who else is onboard for September 2014? It's never too early to get the party started!

Me! 9/24-9/28
It is DH's first trip. I can't wait! He's not as excited as I am but he doesn't have any idea what's about to hit him LOL
