Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party Information

I would LOVE to do the dessert party when we go, however, I tend to stay away from most buffets and some restaurants due to DF's allergies, he's allergic to coconut, bananas, all melons, hazelnuts, pecans, so unfortunately, I definitely stay away from any of the Poly restaurants or luau, because there is so much banana or coconut ingredients in most of their dishes.

I know Disney is really good about accommodating allergy needs, but DF hates to be a hassle and doesn't like to bring attention to this issue, do you think it's worth it for us to go anyway? :confused3

If he is allergic to that many things I probably wouldn't chance the dessert party.

My DH is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and we went to the dessert party a few years ago. They brought him his own tray of desserts that had no exposure to nuts or nut products so that he could enjoy desserts too...they weren't desserts available to everyone else. Maybe it would work the same for your DF? :confused3 If you are interested, I'd call and ask a CM

Contact Disney special diets and note his allergies when you make the reservation. Disney does a great job with accommodating food allergies.

Thanks for your input, I would hate to miss it, but this might be our option! Better safe than sorry! :)

That's really good to know DisneyMama, they were really accommodating for him at the Biergarten and I'm sure so many people go with allergies, that they have to have some way to accommodate them! Thank you for the advice! :goodvibes

Thank you geeknerd, will do :thumbsup2

Subscribing to wait for the August dates to open up. I have never booked this because it seems like on the DDP there is too much dessert already but i am excited that this year we can do it because we are not doing a DP. it looks awesome and I can't wait to book it!!

We did the party last night. Had a table on the rail next the check in counter. We really didn't eat a lot. My youngest isn't feeling well so he didn't eat a bite. I had one plateful of items. DH ate a few bites. DD13 half a plate full. Ds5 hardly anything. The view was nice but overall it wasn't worth it for my family. At least we tried it once and now we know. :goodvibes

Thanks to both of you. My DD has nut allergies and this was a concern. Now, maybe I will be lucky enough to get a ressie.

Make sure you subscribe to the below thread as well, I believe that is where you will get better timing on when the dates open up.

I followed that and was able to reserve right away and got a seat right up front. Actually it was funny, I didn't tell my wife about the party, was going to surprise her. I subscribed to the thread with email notification and I kept getting notifications on my phone, my wife was looking at me funny wondering why I was getting so many emails, but it was well worth it.

Yes, definitely subscribe to the thread above...this thread is more informational about the party, whereas the other is more specific to the reservation opening dates, as we'll as information

Im sorry if this has been asked many times but I cant seem to find the price of value season (Sept 8 2013)

This is my first attempt at a ressie for this event! It is my husbands one and only request! If I am watching the boards and call opening day....will I most likely be able to reserve a spot? :confused3

Absolutely. while they do sell out, if you subscribe to the thread I linked above you should be fine. The biggest advantage to calling as early as possible is that seems to be the way to get a table up front. But even if you don't call on the first day the month is open if you have some flexibility then it helps because I believe it is offered almost every night unless there it's a party.

I know I am early but I am looking at the first week of December. Is it hard to get a December date? Also, is it better to do it on a MVMCP night or a different night? Thanks!

I can't speak for availability then, but I would not do it on a party night because you still have to pay money for the mvmcp AND the dessert party, then you are just wasting time you could be at the mvmcp to attend the dessert one. Of course this limits your options of which days to go, we are going during Halloween and they have parties most of the nights we are there.

How does the table assignment go? Is it a first come first sit or do they take you to a table when you arrive with your party?

When you make your reservation tiu're assigned a table. As in all things Disney, a line will form and you'll be escorted to your table. Enjoy!

Is the location of the dessert party good for seeing the main st electrical parade as well? The only night during our upcoming trip we will be able to go also has that parade at 9 with wishes at 10...since doors open one hour prior to wishes I was just wondering if we could see both while we were there:) thanks!
