Epcot is a little confusing because different companies run many of the restaurants. Akershus is one of the restaurants run by Disney so you actually can get mini cakes there. You just need to call the Disney number for Epcot: 407-560-6395
This thread was really helpful when I was figuring out how to order a cake, so I wanted to report back. I ordered a custom mini cake for a dinner at Be Our Guest last Sunday (8/14/16); I ordered it about two weeks before. It was a pretty simple cake and I've seen similar ones before, but I was very happy with it. It was a surprise for my boyfriend who loves Belle. It cost $50 + tax. Icing was all buttercream. It was white cake with chocolate filling. The mini cake was the perfect size - I wanted something small enough that we could eat the cake no problem + still pick desserts off of the dessert cart if boyfriend wanted too (he did). It worked out great!
Her post said it was $50 plus taxCan you tell me how much this cost? I was looking for something very similar!
Ok, so how long do I wait for a callback from OKW? I called yesterday morning, the specialty cake line, left a message. The recording said that messages are checked twice a day and ti expect a call back within 24 hrs.
Should I just call again tomorrow morning? I hate bring a nag, but this is kind of important to us. Any advice?
Is Erin Mckenna's the only option for an allergy friendly cake?
I'm having the same problem with the number on post #2 for All Stars Sports. I've left 2 messages in almost 2 weeks and my trip is in 8 days :/
OK, so what I'd do is call the Cake Hotline (407-827-2253) and follow the prompts for All-Star Sports and leave a message on that line. The number may have changed. Then I'd call the main number at All-Star Sports and ask to speak to someone in the Food & Beverage department. You can explain that you have been trying to order a cake and no one's calling you back and your trip is soon. And if you DO find out there's a new number, let me know and I'll update it!
Thanks! I just have a dairy allergy/intolerance and haven't had cross-contamination issues in the past.If you are worried about cross-contamination, Erin McKenna's is the only bakery on property that can guarantee that certain allergens are not going to be introduced into their products. My daughter and son have several intolerances (gluten, dairy and several others) and we have routinely ordered from the Grand Floridian as well as through the Magic Kingdom cakes email. Since we do not have a celiac issue we are OK ordering their gluten and dairy free cakes and cupcakes.
Thank you for the suggestions ! Unfortunately they all lead back to the same voicemail with the phone number listed in post 2. At this point I think if I don't hear back from tomorrow I'm going to have to come up with Plan B! I was hoping to get the cake delivered to the room but I might just have to see if I can get a last min reservation somewhere and have it delivered there
Thank you so much with your help with this! I just finalized my cake order! I was only given the standard Fillings to pick from , vanilla or chocolate , or ganache and for the outside of the cake either butter cream or whip cream. At this point, after all the hassle I just picked vanilla mousse with buttercream. However, I was only given a choice of 8" or larger and I told the CM that i got a 6" last year so she checked with the bakery and was able to have them ok the 6".OK, I just spoke with a CM at the All-Star Sports Food & Beverage department. He says that IS the number to call and that they haven't received any voicemail messages, so there may be a problem with the system. I have his direct phone number for you and will PM it to you. Since he's not normally the guy to order from, I won't post it here. But if you can call him today or tomorrow he will get you that cake.
So all in all, I got a 6" vanilla mouse buttercream gold cake, with the white chocolate Cinderella castle (that she said does not light up ) with flowers cascading down the side of the cake. She said it would be $38 plus tax. I'm not expecting anything fancy with this cake. At this point any cake is better then no cake!
