March 24th,2013 / 4 nights Bahamas

The flight is right on the borderline. If you have early dining or skip breakfast completely then you should be ok. It just depends in when we get cleared. If that process is delayed you could run into a problem. If your flight is too early, DCL may make you take your luggage yourself because they won't be able to guarantee it will get to your flight.

Hi Kate!

No, you don't pay for the excursion now. You can change, cancel, add all the way up to 3 days out. Once you're onboard, they will charge your onboard account for all of your excursions. (We normally prepay our onboard account to take advantage of the Disney visa 6month free interest on these charges.). You can cancel onboard if DCL finds another passenger who wants to take your place.

Oh, wow. That is fantastic. The other cruiselines we paid up front, so I was expecting to have to pay, but this is even better.

We booked a Blue Lagoon Dolphin encounter. Hopefully the third time is the charm, as this will be our third attempt to see the dolphins. Last two times we missed the port or got there late. Fingers crossed it works out this year. If not, that just means we have to go on another cruise.

Thanks again for answer all of my questions.

We have early dining and won't have too much luggage. We'll plan on getting up and out early.

Here a photo of our family when we were at WDW last month. Looking forward to seeing more family pictures!

DH Mark, myself(Bette) and DS Connor (9). Sorry it is large...not sure how else to post pics!

We checked in on Monday too!!! Amazing DBF stayed up till 1:15am (central time) to complete the check-in since the system crashed!

We got the 11am arrival (which we had wanted), 10:15am time for Atlantis Beach Day, and 11:30 Palo Breakfast!! All in all we got what we wanted!! Still no room number listed but we are being patient!

I'm really surprised at how much is still available after the paid in full date! On past cruises, it was absolutely impossible to get Remy or Palo brunch even for silver Castaway Club members! It seems strange to me that this cruise is almost sold out and yet there's still availability. I mean, folks are still getting 11am port arrival times! Wow!!!

Must be a LOT of first-time cruisers on board...:confused3

Wow! I love the family pics! So nice to meet everyone....:goodvibes

Here is one of Timmy and me after he danced with me during Starlit Hui this summer at Aulani-

So happy to hear you all got what you wanted! Congrats to all the first timers!:cool1::banana:

I've been thinking the same thing! :rolleyes1

Hopefully, this is a picture of my DH (Kevin), myself (Shannon), and our DD (Sarah). I will try and get a picture of her friend, too, but I'm not making any promises. I am having trouble getting photobucket to work properly for me so I am trying to show a picture of my family using one of those countdown tickers I see everyone using. Hope this works. If not, I'll be back at square one. BTW I love getting to finally put a face with a name for everyone. Can't wait to see everyone on board!

Well, I guess it didn't work.

Now it did! Yayyyy!!!!

We're on this cruise. First timers. Very excited. Question about excursions. I know you can cancel up to a few days before the excursion. Do people ever cancel? We wanted to get two spots for the dolphin swim, but only one was available. Any thoughts?

I am also a first timer, so no experience, but I would keep checking back. I have noticed that some days one thing is sold out and then it pops up as available. I would just keep checking. We are booked for the dolphin encounter (not the swim) but might end up cancelling and just stay on board the ship. Doesn't help you, but others might be in the same position.

I have been trying to post a picture of my family but I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. Does anyone have a suggestion? I was trying to use a picture from my facebook pictures.

My DD21 and I will be on this cruise! Count us in for the FE! Would love to do the wine tasting or champagne tasting with other DISer's. Let me know which one to sign up for. As long as it doesn't conflict with our Palo brunch, we'll be there! I would hope the tastings would be a little later in the day. :drinking1

We are DVC members and are Platinum DCL with 16 cruises under our belt. This will be our 2nd cruise on the Dream. Still haven't sailed on the Fantasy, but we will some day.

Princess Bette - Thanks so much for organizing the FE. We have so much fun doing these and look forward to it.

If anyone has college-aged kids going, let me know and maybe DD21 and connect before the cruise or at one of the college-club events on the Dream.

We are staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before the cruise, but we get in late, so I really hope we don't encounter overbooking at the hotel. We are staying at AKL Kidana Village after the cruise. I'm sure it will be very busy, but we will take advantage of EMH's and fast passes and do our favorites.

Looking forward to counting down the days until the cruise and meeting up with our fellow DISers on this cruise!

We use Photobucket.com. Load any photo you want to post there, then copy the img code. Paste that code into your message and magically your photo appears in your message.

We're going on the march 24-28 dream cruise too. It's our first cruise ever and Just found out about the fish extenders. If we can't join a smallish group to do that we'll just have to distribute some random pixie dust! Our info is below for anyone looking to connect before then:). We went to Disneyland when I graduated college as a mature student then Disney World for our honeymoon in 1999. We took our dd when she was three and my mom for their first Disneyland trip in 2005, and again when she was six. We took her to Disney world in 2008 and have been planning this trip for my 40th birthday since then!
So we're spending 10 days in Disney before our very first cruise, and my mom is coming too:rotfl2:
