Happy birthday to Michael! Visiting Disneyland (even if you left out the parks) sounds like a perfect way to celebrate.
The tomato and burrata appetizer was delicious when we tried it in May! As for the cheese plate, at least 3 out of 5 were enjoyable to you.

Happy Birthday to Captain Michael! Love the pic with Emily and him with the hands on their hips!
To funny on the cheeses! I think I would like the opposite ones! I love creamy cheeses far more than firm ones! Not sure about the goo though!!
Artisanal Cheeses; Montegrappa, Fioro Sardo, Pave d’Affinois de Brebis, Beechmount Farm Cashel Bleu, and Vermont Creamery Bijou served with assorted breads and seasonal accoutrements - $16
Lastly, Vermont Creamy Bijou: This is a young aged goat cheese that has a soft tangy interior with a nutty wrinkled rind that is marinated in Tanzanian peppercorns, thyme, and extra virgin olive oil. This was presented with a pretzel bread stick and sesame crisp. As quoted in my text to Jabead – “ICK”…I did NOT like this cheese or the goo in which it was stewing, I mean marinating.
Here's the photo from my phone that I texted to Jabead illustrating the vile goo:
Although I wasn't a fan of the sheeps milk cheese I think I ate more than anyone! You probably like brie? If so, you should like these soft cheeses.
Ooh great start to your YSH review
Isn't that onion bread just delicious!
Oh and by the way, you are you lovely DD look so glamourous
Eww the goo makes an appearance.
Juvenile comments aside, your start to your Yachtsman review looks excellent!
Happy Birthday to Michael a bit late! What a great way to spend the day! Love, Love, LOVE the pic of him & Em!
We actually liked the "goo" spread on the bread. We pulled out the cheese and tried to leave as much of the oil aside as we could. Andrew in particular really enjoyed it.
Looking forward to your entrees!
You two clean up real nice! But then again, I don't think I've ever seen a pic of you where you didn't look beautiful, Brenda.
You can even pull off the soaking wet look!
Oops, you forgot to take my advice about the "Goo" in the jar. But then again, both Vicki & family and DDW's mom really liked it, so I guess this is one of those things that you have to try and decide for yourself.
Anxious for Part II to see if you took my advice and ordered the filet.
I do like Brie but its a pretty mild cheese to me. My husband knows the cheeses I like and I can tell from looking at a cheese plate which will be my favorites but I NEVER remember the name! Pretty much I like most anything that is soft, and if it oozes at room temperature thats awesome. I like Parmesan on things but not usually plain as the sharpness of it makes my mouth hurt. The same goes for the really aged cheddars. But pretty much if it is cheese... I'm on it!! (I was not this way before meeting my DH! He has really turned me into a foodie!!)
I just got done typing a long post here and it didn't show up! So I shall summarize.
The onion rolls look good and you have more willpower than I do because I would totally end up eating them all and ruining my appetite! You all look fabulous, cheese looks yummy and happy birthday to Michael!
I also mentioned that Michael can stretch out his birthday weekend by kicking back to watch his favorite team today (hopefully winning this week!).
I'm in! Great reviews so far...can't wait to read the rest and see the pics!
Finally able to catch up again! And I would like to say that if you ever need to clean out your closet, I will gladly take your old clothes off your hands! You have some of the cutest things! So either adopt me and take me shopping or send me your handmedowns, please!
Looking at the Captain's Grille menu, I want to go there to try the Lobster omelet! That sounded really good! Oh and your plates look like mine. I cannot have too much on my plate for fear of the food touching Don't anyone even bother to tell me it all mixes in the end. I don't CARE! My food must no touch!
Yatchman's looks amazing as well!!! But, um I won't bother with that goo either! That is just gross to LOOK at!
Thanks Karla from Michael!! He said oh, she's from the KAMP family. What?? That's how he remembered you guys:Please, Please, Please wish MICHAEL A VERY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! from our family. Hope you all had a great day. Can't wait for the rest of your YSH review.
Happy Happy Birthday to your hubby, Captain Michael! Love the pin lol!
Very nice pics of you and your family from YSH! The onion rolls and garlic look delicious and I have to agree that cheese and goo does not look appetizing!!
Can't wait for the rest of the review!
