Disney Dream October 6, 2013

Yes it is. We leave Miami on Monday. We are A CC on Tuesday, then two days at sea then on Friday we are in Columbia, then another day at sea, then a transit of the Panama Canal, then 4 days at sea, then Puerto Vallarta, then Cabo, then one last day at sea, and then we arrive in L.A. on the 20th.

Hope you are having a great time!

Welcome Cruisinaz and Rlrose313!

Cruisinaz, I have a DD who is 8.

Rlrose313, I have used Cocoa Beach Shuttle a few times, not from Disney though. We went from MCO to Cocoa Beach. Picked us up the next morning to the Port and then returned from the Port to MCO. They do service Disney. I did not have any issues with them. We were a party of 10. Just a party of three this time. We are driving from Kentucky.

We just booked our cruise yesterday! So excited!! Is there a fish extender group yet? Would love to join!

Welcome all the new people from the past week. Only 21 more Fridays!

I haven't seen a list for the FE, but I think some of the people have a Facebook page too. I haven't gone to the Facebook page yet, but I might this weekend. It'd be nice to get a list started for the FE.

The FE is where you hang a Fish Extender on the ornamental 'fish' outside your door. Then you bring items to put in other people's fish extender and they in turn give stuff to you. It can be all kinds of things from CD's to magnets to note pads to gift bags to candy and so on. We just come up with a list of who wants in and we go from there.

Sounds Fun!!!! I will have to make a super cute one!

21 Fridays really makes the wait seem manageable ;)

I cannot believe that I haven't been on here since November...my goodness time flies! I know that some people are against using Facebook for DisMeet threads, but it was so much easier on my last cruise since I have Facebook on my phone and could more easily access updates and new posts.

If I'm not mistaken, I volunteered to keep up with the FE list for our cruise, lol. So far, I have the following people wishing to participate (once I figure out how to share Excel files, I'll send everyone a link to that):

momm2four (1 adult)
travelgal (1 adult)
tngirl (not sure how many)
trixieS (2 adults, 1 18/15/12 years Old

That's all I have for sure, Policycobb, let me know if you wish for me to add your group.

Samommy: The Fish Extender game is a little like reverse trick or treat. You bring items for each cabin/person on the list and at some point during the cruise, you take it by their cabin and drop it into the Fish Extender (some type of pocket/bag that is hung by the door) so that they get a surprise when returning to their room.

Some people go all out and handcraft items and some people just go simple and bring things like magnets or food items from their hometown (For example: Chattanooga, TN is known for Moonpies, so I gave everyone a mini moonpie in the FE) I guess I can't do that for this cruise now that i've told my secret, lol. You can do a search on here for Fish Extender ideas as there are several threads with ideas/pictures.

Let me know if you wish to join. I need room number and who is going to be in your room (sex/age)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Dreary and rainy here in Chattanooga...AGAIN...I don't think we've seen the sun since last weekend, and it's looking like Mon/Tues will bring even heavier showers. I need a deck party:cool1:

Lori P. :)

Please add us to the FE Group
2 adults and 1 child (8)

Please add us to the FE group as well:

2 rooms:
7562: 2 adults 2 children (girl 7, girl 7)
7560: 1 adult 2 children (boy 10, boy 10)

Thanks!!

Need some WDW advice....we will most likely go for three days prior to the cruise. Do I do 1-2 after?

We have been to DL multiple times, I know they are different but trying to manage time and money. If we don't have time to see it all, what are the must-do's?

Also, I workin the hotel industry, so I am use to getting rooms for a steal, so what are the pro's and cons to staying at a WDW hotel for hundreds more than what I can get down the street?

Thanks much
;)

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of days to spend at wdw. We are going to focus on the non-disneyland areas....animal kingdom, Epcot, maybe even swimming with sharks at the water park.

I always love the disney hotels. We just got a premiere pass and are going back to DL in a couple of weeks. I was surprised, My 7 year olds ask if we can stay at the disney hotels and realize staying there makes it special. October is our big vacation so we are staying at disney, in California we have been staying at cheaper hotels and using Priceline.

Are you in AZ...we are in Gilbert :)

Sign us up for the Fish Extender group!

Cabin 6580 - 2 adults, one child (boy age 8).

So excited! :tinker:

WOW..we are in Gilbert too..off Higley and Queen Creek

Too funny... If you want to meet some time before I'm sure my DD would like that. She knows I am planning a cruise but she doesn't yet know its a done deal...I don't wan to hear "how much longer" all
