Happy New Year everyone! Between my Disney trip a couple weeks ago and the craziness of the holidays, plus a minor illness, this is the first chance I've had to do an update! Thank you all for sticking with me and being so loyal to me TR's! And now, on with the trip report!
Two days before Disney, on July 12th, Allie came over and I did her nails. We hung out, and went to Olive Garden for dinner with our friend Ali.
The next day, we got up, had Scott haul my suitcase to Allie's car, and drove to her house. Allie packed and we anxiously awaited the delivery of our AP U.S. History exam scores. We must have walked up and down her REALLYYY long driveway to the mailbox at least twice. We ended doing better than we thought, and we both got the same score. If you guys remember from the May TR, I took the exam the day Jess and I went to Disney! Considering that, I did way better than I thought I would!
I seem to have misplaced a photo of my Disney nails for this trip, but here is my pride and joy of them all. I present the Dancing People:
We found a pair of Spectrespecs that Allie's boyfriend, Ben, got for her, and we had fun with those.
We even packed them. If you're a Harry Potter fan, you know exactly what they are!
When Allie's parents got home from work, we had dinner and discussed the plan for the morning. I curled my hair and we tried to get to bed early, but we were too excited to sleep! Allie ended up falling asleep eventually, but I only ended up getting about an hour and a half!
That's okay though, because I do really well on adrenaline and spite!
Your eyes aren't fooling you, that countdown clock really does say 3 A.M. Time to get up and go to Disney!!!
We got up and started to get ready. We were warming up Allie's new video camera by making parody/cover videos of Jenna Marbles' "getting ready" videos.
Ready!
We're Frumps.
I think Allie is trying to be a ballerina or something...
And I think I'm in the middle of saying "Fart Shoes" here...
More ballerina:
Spinning:
Let's GOOO Al.
Actually, I can't complain. Of the two of us, I'm usually the one holding things up.
WAKE UP!
Everyone was pretty high strung around the house. We were throwing last-minute things in the suitcases, moving around some stuff, and I think we threw some scrambled eggs straight into our stomachs at one point. The scale broke so we couldn't weigh Allie's suitcase. Foreshadowing? Maybe...
We loaded the car and left the house by 4:10!
When we got to the airport, Timmy went to long-term parking while Sharon, Allie, and I went to check the luggage. Sure enough, Allie's suitcase was over 50 pounds, so we had to move some stuff around.
We met Timmy at security and went through without a problem. The Units went to get coffee while Allie and I went to get bagels. We met them at the gate and ate while we waited. Of course Sharon needed to take a picture of us:
So excited!
Pretty soon we were boarding. Allie and I found seats a bit farther up from her parents, and we got settled in. We took off a little after 6 A.M.
Here we go!
We listened to our random music playlist for a while, and played Cut the Rope and Sky Burger.
Spectrespecsin'
We also listened in on this lady who was talking about how she doesn't go to "that EPCOT place" because she thinks it's "boring."
My EPCOT fandom was ready to slap her.
She was also ragging on the Disney resorts.
Poor girl. Doesn't know what she's missing.
OH WELL, MORE FOR MEEEE!
Pretty soon we were landing! We got to MCO at 8:30 A.M. We deplaned, headed to baggage claim, got our bags, and went to pick out a rental car. We got a cute light green Nissan whose name escapes me.
Yeah I name my cars, what of it?
I think we named it Philip. That sounds right.
ANYwho, we loaded our stuff in the car and headed out! WDW here we come!
