    Bringing Beer on board-

Oh and should add that domestic beers are reasonably priced. If you like imports or specialty beers - stock up on those.

    Bringing Beer on board-

We bought a soft-sided rolling cooler at Target for about $40. We have used it on each cruise and for other picnic type events or even camping. Do not put ice in the cooler prior to boarding - that's not allowed. With this type of cooler, your steward will keep it filled with fresh ice when...

Disney Dream - we did it all wrong...

Gosh - have to say that age from 10-12 and not enjoying the way we would expect was TOTALLY accurate. They seem to be in that "too cool" for stuff. Now our girls are 14 and 16 and can't wait to enjoy all the geeky, princessy, type stuff! It is an odd age between little girls (love the DSL...

Disney Dream - we did it all wrong...

Our family is pretty laid back by nature, so even though there were 101 things to do or schedule, we picked the most important ones we wanted to do/see. We had a great time and did not feel as though we had to book every possible entertainment option in order to enjoy (actually LOVE) our...

    Happy Limo or Southern Elegance

We will be paying $260 with 20% gradtuity for a towncar for 4 to the port from a Disney hotel or wherever we want to be picked up (and then from the port to MCO after the cruise) . We get dropped off to the port when we want to and picked up in the early hours from the port and then to the...

    Happy Limo or Southern Elegance

We have always used Tiffanytowncars.com and they have limos. We usually just get a towncar because it is just the 4 of us (2 kids). Great service and the price is equal to going on the Disney bus.

    Any cancer experts out there?

You should ABSOLUTELY go for it! My husband and I have lost all 4 of our parents to Lung Cancer. The Doctor's are NOT God - they don't know exactly when things will progress, but they are just giving you statistics. Have a wonderful time, go and enjoy and let God decide. If she is feeling...

    Sea sick after getting off?

In many situations in my "medical" life, I have been told to "pre-medicate" for anticipated issues that we know will happen. So my thoughts are that if you are prone to motion sickness (as I have been my entire life) then I take a Bonine when getting off the ship. Then again after arriving...

    Sea sick after getting off?

Just a reminder to folks that might use a patch. Wash your hands well after applying and DO NOT touch your eyes. Your pupils will dilate for many hours if you do. Just a tip!

    Sea sick after getting off?

I was fine during the cruise but felt woozy after getting off. Took 1 Dramamine which helped with sleeping on the flight back home and was fine.

    Atlantis-Go or no go?

We went on all of the water slides/rides at Atlantis and there were absolutely NO fish in the water. Only area you even see them, is the one that has a separate water channel that goes between two shark water tanks. NO interaction - ever.

    Dream/fantasy cat 4 room

Otimom - Yes, you are right! I was referring to the pull down bed. The Murphy bed is the kind that folds out flat from the wall, correct? Sorry nothing to read here, move along.... :rolleyes1

    Dream/fantasy cat 4 room

HI - We have not cruised on the Dream, however we have cruised on the Wonder in a Cat 4. You can easily walk past the Murphy bed when it is in the down position to get out to the balcony. The room stewards drop it down in the evening and put it back up after cleaning in the morning. It has...

    Prices rising fast-wow

About 1 year ago, I talked my husband into booking the trip to the Eastern Carribean on the Fantasy in June 2012, when the economy was still pretty bad. I looked at the same room (4A) today and it is MORE than double. Pays to plan ahead!

Why do disney cruises cost more than other cruise lines?

We have traveled on Disney twice and Royal Caribbean once to Alaska. For us the difference was in the cleanliness, the quality and class exuded on Disney. On the RCCL cruise, our suite was larger, and a couple of room perks were added like a dessert tray each night and a 1/2 bottle of wine...

Jet Sking on CC and "Vision" issues

Just got back from the 4-Day Wonder and the Jet Ski excursion. Don't wear goggles! Once we got out where we could really let 'er rip, I couldn't see anything because the goggles got covered in sea water and gunk. I was going fast and then slow then fast and my husband who was on another jet...
