Splash Mountain is based of off "Song of the south" a movie thats not for sale in the US due to racist overtones. It is the movie that gave us Zip-a-dee-doo-da though. I'd say a good 60% or more of those who go on Splash Mountain have no idea where the plot is from.

By booking seperately you also get your choice of resorts. I did 6 days at wilderness lodge with a 4 day back in 1999. On our final day we packed up and brought all our gear over to poly and just waited for pick up like everyone one else :)

What are the odds of an upgrade from standard pool to savanah for the first 2 weeks of Aug? I've been reading some threads saying that a lot of people have changed their booking to get the free meal deal. That would make our honeymoon completly wild =) (not that pool view is horrible)

Hopefully enough people are abandoning the first 2 weeks of Aug to get my DH and I's honeymoon room upgraded to savannah view!! :laughing:

The WL is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. If it wasn't for my DH loving animals so much we would be going to it instead of AKL. How can you not love a boat ride to MK?
