We have a Combi Cosmo and I think it's similar to the Flare, we bought it to replace our MAC triumph that was 6 years old. I liked the Combi at first - it is about the same height as the MAC so not sure if your DH would like that, but the handles are different and that might make a difference...

My DD's very much the same - doesn't like her hair up - BUT her first visit to BBB she insisted on leaving it that way for three days. It even survived swimming. By the third day I had to bribe her to take it out with a blinking Mickey hat she wanted but couldn't wear with the hair!
