    First few hours on cruise.

Smiling at this thread. We are considering a nice cruise on the Wonder for our next-year vacation, since we had such a good time at WDW in early Feb. We are two childless adults, age 50 and 59 but gettin older all the time. We may be spending some of our time in the adult only areas, mostly...

    How much "walking around" money?

Hmm. We stayed six nights, QSP, two adults. Had three table service reservations that were OOP, bought snacks, at least one cocktail for me per day, and some souvenirs. We are light eaters and split some meals. Spent $421. For us, $1000 would be plenty. However, that said, if your hubby can up...

    Healthy Offerings

Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary: I know lots of folks don't like it, but husband had the couscous quinoa /arugala salad with grilled salmon and it was delicious! Nice big chunk of salmon, too. I had some fried shrimp, which were fine.

We just got home from our week at Pop last night We kept seeing all the Brazilian girls in pink with the pink 'Fifteen' backpacks. Got around them in cafeteria when a manager directed us to a register around the corner. Luckily, we were on top floor in back of 80's and it was very quiet there...

After lunch we did haunted mansion, then Philharmonic, Carousel of Progress and Peoplemover. Was getting crowded, so we took the (monorail, monorail, monorail) over to contemporary and had a sangria while watching more monorails. Back to park, and ride tiki room, pirates of Caribbean, hubby got...

POP Century~Unofficially the Grooviest FAQ Thread #7~Sept 2012

We are still enjoying our stay at pop. Have figured out which the register to use if the giant tour groups are present. Room clean and in a far but quiet location, which was our preference. We got lucky and we got a king bed, which is comfy. The tub does drip a bit, but quietly. I was so busy...

The dreaded BTG is here in force this morning. Saw them last night taking pics. This group is all teen girls in pink and white with backpacks. They swarm, but have not been pushing. Look out for the backpacks when they turn suddenly though! This was the scene at the register I despaired of...

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3058087 Also, key to the world card worked as advertised. Opened door, let me into park with the insert-card turnstile. Got my counter service meals (they required pin, and oddly purchase of mango tiny did not? Any rate, all was good. Crowds not bad at all.

    Coyote returns to Disney World

Time for the first day of the trip report! I tried to put this in Trip Report section but got app error saying it was not accepting new threads? Our plane actually arrived a little early, about 4:20 instead of 4:35. Found Magic Express with no difficulty, got a seat, very comfy. For those of...

Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

I visited Discovery Island the last time I was in Disney World - 1988. The pics I took got lost somewhere, but it was a lovely place. Beautiful nature paths and very green. I remember it was a sanctuary for brown pelicans, and other wild birds that had been injured or orphaned. I stayed at Fort...

If you ever have a layover in Atlanta, check out the cauliflower and turnip soup with pumpkin seeds. It is really, really good. And I am usually not a cauliflower fan... But I just about licked the bowl clean. Seriously, check it out. Less than four hours to Orlando. Yippee! Will post a link...

    2013 Limited Time Magic

I'm just fine with that for our trip. We arrive later today, not interested in the football stuff but I'm sure it will be a hit with many. And a nice counter service option in Tomorrowland is very welcome; I like lobster bisque! Yay Disney!

Interesting & Fun Picture Taking Tips

I'm planning on bringing a Gumby and Pokey and posing them around Disney world like they are visiting... Kind of like people do with the traveling gnomes. If I have enough free time I would like to make a short stop-motion film with them, maybe with the castle in the background. There are a...

That would be nice to have a bus. I think maybe they told me that because the train tour is so very early, and only a few people do it?

Take a taxi to the Contemporary and walk to MK or take the monorail from there. I looked it up because our steam train tour meets at 7:15 am on a day the park opens at 9:am. The buses start an hour before park open.
