My dh has done this race all 3 years. He was hoping to do 5 years for a possible special 5-year medal? I guess with the potential name change, this will not happen. :-( Still a great weekend though!

They let us into the check-in area at 10:35, on the ship around 11:30 (Boarding Group 1). HTH

We are just off the first cruise. I would be happy to answer any questions. Overall, I thought the changes were perfect. I absolutely loved Tiana's Place and the new Frozen show. I predict this will become a new favorite ship for some with these additions.

I sailed on the Magic during Frances and Jeanne back in 2004. Our cruise was the only one to get into CC the whole month of September. It actually fared much better than one would expect, everything was just really brown. Assuming there are no major problems, I would expect CC would be back open...

I was on the earlier sailing this year. Disney Fantasy did a great review. For our cruise, we had much more rainy weather. I really overpacked for cold weather that we never experienced. We did mostly Disney tours on this trip and had great experiences. Overall, I highly encourage private tours...

We stayed there earlier this year. I agree, if you have a car, it is wonderful! My trip was with a large group of friends and it was really nice for everyone to have their own bed. Some of the ladies did use the bus on occasion and found it did eat up a lot of time. You can also take the boat...

We were on this cruise too. We had a wonderful time and fit a lot into those ports. I agree that you can save a lot by not doing DCL tours. However, some of the things I wanted to see were packaged best by DCL. I am posting a day-by-day report on my blog.

We are doing the 12-night Norwegian cruise this summer. It is cheaper, even with expensive airfare, than the 11-night Southern. We have a room on hold, we will see if I can make it work. I do have a placeholder, but it has to be used by May 27, 2017. :-(
