Which hotel has the nicest pool?

Mandalay's pools are nice, but it's incredibly hard to find loungers if that's your 'thing'. There has always been lots of people there, but the many cabanas almost seem to take away more of the space. I hadn't been for a couple years and just went back last week... they've gone Cabana Crazy...

    family activities?

My 6 yr old is going for her 3rd trip next week. She loves it more than Disneyland (I know!!!! crazy). She's a total people watcher and shop-aholic though so she definitely enjoys that but some of her other faves: - the dolphins at Mirage (Secret Garden) - Mystere (this one has kids...

    Character Ettiquette

I'd say the key would be to luck out and find a character without hordes of people nearby. Waiting in line to see Mickey and Minnie left little for personal time... it was very much a smile, photo, hug and that was that. However, we found both Pluto and Goofy (at separate times) at the...

    Taking Balconies off...

Well, I will miss the balconies. I love being able to let the air in and stand there and look out at the goings on. It was also great to take naps with the sounds of the waterfalls below. I am sad to see them go. At least the Mickey hand wall sconces are still in the loos. :-D

    Somebody stop me please!

Who cares what other people think about a limo driving by? IF they even think of it at all... it's a pretty common thing these days imho. I say that if you can afford it... then go for it and have some fun! If he's not uber excited about it then look at it this way... he WILL remember it. I...

What are your 3,4 and 5 year olds favourite attractions.

I was surprised, but my 5 yr old DD's faves were: - Soaring - Star Tours - Pirates - Haunted Mansion - Space Mtn The only one she disliked was Splash... and it could be because the poor thing got completely soaked on a chilly day. And she HATED the 4D movies... saw Muppets and HISTA (didn't...

DLH - is it really that bad?

We stayed at the DLH for the first time this past April. I'd always wanted to stay there and never did as a kid... my parents were of the "you only need a pillow to sleep on" variety and we stayed at any motel that had the best deal. Is the hotel expensive for what you get? Probably. Is it...

    Mr. Potato Head

We didn't have any problems with finding either the Darth or Storm Trooper helmets... BUT... we did forget the feet. Mr. P Head looks pretty ridiculous with a Darth or Storm Trooper head and Minnie Mouse's shoes!! :lmao:

    Mr. Potato Head

Last month, it was 18$ for a box.

    Disneyland's Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique

There's probably someone out there who has better info on the dresses than I do, but what I remember is this: The dresses in the boutique are the same that are available throughout the park. Apparently, they are more expensive than what you might find at the Disney Store or anywhere else for...

    Disneyland's Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique

There is a small photo studio in the back, separate from the salon/store. It's really quite cute. On one half, there's a grassy area with little animal figurines and a forest painted onto the wall. The other half has a small Cinderella style carriage. The carriage has curtains and the door opens...

    Magic Morning = more crowds

I am NOT in any way, shape or form a morning person... but when we where there for Spring Break (the week after this past Easter) we did take advantage of it every morning that we could. (The front desk CM that we had at the DLH was very careful in explaining how great it was and how we could go...

    Disneyland's Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique

I was concerned about that too since we had an 8am appt and the park opened at 8. There is no early entry for it. Just be there for when the gates open and you'll be fine (they expect that when there's appts for first thing) We ended up grabbing the monorail from DTD right at opening... drops...

Trying to plan Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for our last day

That's exactly what we did. We had parkhoppers yes... Ariel's is in DCA. We went on our last full day there. We had an 8am (park opening time) appt for the full package and had breakfast PS's for Ariel's at 9:40 (DCA didn't actually open until 10, but that wasn't a problem). She stayed in...

    Ariel's Grotto dining question?

You can take pics (or ask them to do so) with your own camera as well. We elected to buy the (admittedly overpriced) photo package because DD is a princess fanatic. It was the one larger photo and 4 smaller copies. There is a code on the main pic that they sell you which allows you to add...

    Ariels Grotto

The breakfast at Ariel's Grotto is "family style" (no menus). Your table gets a portion of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and potatoes. There's also the fruit/cheese/pastry tiered tray at your table. We thought it was great and there was more than enough food to go around... we had leftovers...

    We're Back! Questions anyone!

I thought Ridemax was incredibly useful for anyone who isn't a DL regular... I think that after a time, you'd know which attractions are busiest and when... how long the walks between them are... if it's a fast-load ride, etc. However, if you are unsure of that (or just want to have concrete...

what to get a guy for Disneyland Anniversary

We had a "Disney" wedding too! It was a few years ago though and nearly impossible to find all the great wedding stuff that they have now... I almost want to do it again.... almost. ;-P (we had Cinderella invitations too and did our honeymoon in WDW) I got my DH a Disney tie one year. It's...

So what part of "No Flash Photography" don't they understand???

I know it happens all over and it rarely gets to me if it's just once... but on POTC it drives me crazy! I applaud the CM's who actually DO say something... The funniest was a few days ago when someone in the boat took a picture of the skull warning that there be squalls ahead... and suddenly...

    Post your favorite Character photo

This was taken a few days ago at the DLH... Pluto and my DD5 dancing with no one else around (what a great hotel for moments like this!)
