I just came back from 4 wonderful days at Disneyland. we used fast passes a lot, and never returned within the window. We did not have any problems at all, the only thing they seemed to check was that it was for the same day, and that it was after the initial return time. :)

I stayed at the comfort inn in weed a few weeks ago, it was fine, and offered a decent breakfast in the morning too.... The motel 6 had pretty bad reviews, but it is cheaper, and there are several right in the same area as the comfort inn...

My AP was blocked during that time, so I think that can help in some ways... I have never been in July or August..but I think that weekend is less busy than a lot of people think it is-which is why they moved the half marathon to that weekend. :)

Why not just use them correctly to begin with?

It is not a bad weekend to go...some things ot think about htough- that is the half marathon weekend, so thye have alot of streets blocked off near the DL Hotel area, as that is where the races stage from the whole weekend. Also, the races start early, and some of the complaints that I heard...

:goodvibesSurprisingly less busy than one would think :) i think alot of it has to do wiht the fact that most people who run will not be in the parks for several hours afterwards, as they are resting up and recouping.

Have the kids go out and build a snowman where it can be seen from the windows of the house, then go out and put a sign on it that says Your going ot disneyland(and mickey ear hat if you have them)! then say to the kids that they need to see the snowman.... lol. Be careful if you do go out, it...

Maybe you can call the newschannel and see if they will help you with your surprise.... ask them if htey could announce it at the 11:00 news or noon news, etc... Give them all the names of your kids, and have them announce SURPRISE your going to DISNEYLAND! Or you could generate a word search...
