Leapster for a 6 year old?

I made the mistake of getting our oldest a DS last year for Christmas and the younger two Leapsters. (They were 4, 5 & 7 at the time.) They soon were bored with the Leapsters no matter what new games I tried. They now have a DS and I look for educational games they can play on that. They...

How much are your kid's lunches? $4.25 here!

Ours are $3.25. With three kiddos that's almost $50 a week! I think ours cost a lot because the food is "catered" in instead of cooked at the school. I pack lunches every day I'm not running crazy in the morning. :rotfl:

Taking kids out of school..any problems upon return

We took ours out in April this year. Our school policy is that family vacations count as excused absences so we didn't have a problem there. The teachers got work ready for us to do on the plane and their friends were excited to see them when we got back. :) I did make sure they wouldn't...

Sunscreen- do the sprays really work?

I tried the Neutrogena spray on the kids during our last trip to the zoo. All the sudden I realized my nails were sticky and my polish was coming off. The sunscreen ate through my nail polish. It was bizarre. I decided if it could do that to my polish I shouldn't be putting it on my kids'...

What is the most magical WDW thing you do

I'm missing WDW so bad right now! For us the most magical thing is sitting on the beach at the Poly all curled up w/ the kids watching the electric water pageant. Our kids just LOVED it and it was a magical cozy time for our whole family. :goodvibes

Now a happy married woman and mom to 3, I almost forgot that for a short period in my life I was a foster child. One of my sisters and I were removed when we were 17 and 13. We only had the clothes on our backs so things we appreciated most were: *jeans that fit *cute shirts...

My kids are suffering from Post Vacation Depression Syndrome. Seriously. LOL! We just got back last Friday. My 5 yr old dd got out of the bath tonight and said, "Mommy, I bet people are at Disney World having fun right now. (Sigh) And we are at home." Our oldest dd asked us if people can...

Anybody ever have a reaction to amoxicillin?

Glad you are feeling better! Our youngest dd is allergic to four different antibiotics and has had varying reactions to each one. One thing our doctor told us is that you can have your blood allergy tested in a lab to make sure that is what you reacted to. Safer than taking the medication...

Pain when ear tube comes out?

My dd was up crying at night when she could feel hers moving around in there. She was very unhappy. We finally had the doctor just take it out for her. She also complained she couldn't hear "right". It must be really uncomfortable. Poor kiddos!

need help.... way way way off topic about pg loss

Praying for your dear niece! Being worried is such a scary thing during pregnancy. I had 6 miscarriages in my early 20's all between 6 & 12 weeks. The heart rate was always low and the baby was always growing too slowly or not at all. But that was verified w/ an ultrasound each time...

Whoops - not sure why the pictures are so big. Sorry. To answer someone's question - the first box we did we didn't put any ponies in it because we have so many at home. But then my dd mentioned she wouldn't be able to play w/ her stuff because her ponies were at home. So when we did a box...

We just got back and were thrilled the weather was so warm. LOL! But coming from Colorado our kids had snowpants on three days before we left so it is all perspective I guess. It was our first trip too so we didn't know any better on the crowds. I'm glad you still had a fun trip!

    Did YOU enjoy 'Ohanas Breakfast???

We were there last week and LOVED it. I felt the character interaction was much better because we weren't up and running back and forth to the buffet. Stitch was hilarious! The kids loved dancing around the restaurant with the characters too. Our server was wonderful too. Probably my...
