Thank you so much! Yes! That does help immensely! We are booked for here as of right now and reading all the posts so far we may try our best to stay here! We have tried out CR, Poly, OKW, and AKL in the past, we have 3 teenagers and it sounds like they would love BC! Thanks so much!! We are booked the 2nd week in September 10-16 :) Celebrating a load of items, combined losses should be at goal by then (losing over 150 pounds for dh and me!), my birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary...getting excited! Just waiting for free dining offer to roll out!

Good morning YC/BC fans! I'm always reading but haven't posted in a while... We have solidified our dates and this year we decided to give YC a try...we have been staying BC for the last several years...YC is the last regular resort we haven't stayed in!

Sooo... Please add us to the BOG list! YC CL 7/13-7/18... We will be at polyCL 7/18-23...

Hoping to see you again teena! Is there a July meet this year?

Unfortunately, Robyn and I are just missing each other on this trip :sad1:

Robyn is there from June 29-July 15. I check in on July 16-July 20. Teena will be away in California from July 7-13, I believe. I don't think she will be working during your dates at the Yacht Club :sad2:

I think I have caught up, but this morning when I was updating the Be Our Guest list, I lost my update :headache: so I would appreciate if everyone would take a moment to peek at the list to make sure I have your info listed correctly.

Headed back to BC for our annual vacation -- June 7 to 14th! Can't wait!

Can anyone tell me: I have pre-purchased Photopass+, and the Marketplace at BC is listed as one of the locations where I can turn in my voucher for my Photopass+ card -- do I just go to the check-out counter to do this?

Yes, but I believe that the hours are limited for the Photopass+ card at the Marketplace. I would check with them before you go. :)

You are correct! Someone asked this earlier in the thread, I think the beginning of April, and this was the answer:


I just spoke with someone from customer service At photo pass. He said there is a table at the marketplace but they are only open from 5-9pm. So you can only redeem during those hours.

Does anyone have a pic of what the cot look like I looked through pics and I only saw the daybed. Also does anyone know how many standard rooms at YC have a daybed?
 
Thanks for the link. According to their calculations though its going to cost a fortune to send this package down so I may need to figure out something else. I purchased 3 huge plush characters and bought some smaller toys to do an in room celebration for the kids but I wasn't thinking about the fact they charge big bucks for an oversized box even though its light. The van is going to be so packed already I'm not sure how I could take them with us now.

Definitely going to need to figure it out soon though.

You can price it out on the FedEx and UPS websites also.

FedEx and UPS deliver to the Yacht/Beach Club Convention Center. The convention center's office is run by an outside vendor. You have to pay them for handling when you receive a package there. The fee is based on the weight of your package. In March 2012 it was:
Up to 5 pounds: $3
5-20 pounds: $5
above 20 pounds: $10

When you're thinking about cost, it sounds like you have to factor in the cost of shipping your package back home after your trip, because I doubt you plan to leave those plush characters behind when you go home. I know people have had the hotel help them ship packages home.

Here's a money-saving idea - do you have a friend or family member with a key to your house? Keep the toys hidden until you leave. Have someone go into your house while you're gone, and set up the huge plush characters on your kids' beds, or maybe sitting on the couch holding the remote. Nobody is happy about having to go home after a Disney trip. You would be doing an In Room Celebration to make everybody feel better about going home, instead of an In Room Celebration to make everybody happy about being at Disney World.

Okay, I said it was an idea... I didn't say it was necessarily a good idea...

Dee - tentatively planning our 4th Annual BC/YC Dis Meet for July 6.

For the poster asking about the rollaway - my mom had one when she shared a room with my three sons. She said it was very comfortable.

Here's what we do though. I bring a twin sized aerobed in case we get a room without a daybed (last year we had a great room, but no daybed). This way we inflate it at night and then deflate it and stow it in the closet in the morning.

Works for us!

Oh my gosh! Your dates are almost exactly like ours...and we are staying YC CL and Poly CL! I'm sure we'll see each other in the CL lounges or at the pools! We are 7/13-7/17 YC and 7/17-7/21 Poly. :wave:
