October 2013 Code Watch?!

Actually I made a mistake. It wasn't a pin code, it was a vacation code which is different. It wasn't much off so I'm still keeping my finders crossed for free dining! I just looked up a quote on the Disney site and saved it. That is probably why they sent it to me.

We are going from 10/25 - 11/2 and hoping for free dining! Now we just have to hurry up and wait.... :)

Going same time and I was expecting FD but now nervous that we won't have anything...we said we'd go back to disney as our Beaches Carribean vacation was closing in at 4K and we thought we could save money and kids would have even more fun...maybe not...give me some good news Disney:)

My wife and I are planning on going September 28-Oct 5th for our 1 year anniversary. Definitely looking for some type of discount code.

Booked room only so far Oct 1-8. Apparently I had one night too many (flights are already booked) to take advantage of the ToT rate. I think it came to only $7 more a night anyway. :confused3 So no biggie. If I don't get FD I will take advantage of the ToT discounted ticket rate. Still wishing for FD though!!! And now I waits and sees... :hourglass

Same with my daughters! They had an offer code and everything which upon first look seemed like a % off code. However when I ran the numbers it was the same rate as online OR like $5 off. Sneaky on their part lol! So back to waiting again!

I need a discount:scared

I need 5 rooms for Oct. Big family trip. :thumbsup2

Hi there! :wave2:

I'm starting to plan a 10 to 14 night trip for late October/early November. Will make a room only ressie once we nail down our dates, then sit back and hope for a good discount or free dining.

Is it better to just go ahead and book now if I'm ok paying the current rates but hoping for a discount to sweeten the deal? Looking at 10/5 - 10/12 at CSR, probably business king. Not sure what kind of supply is available on those and don't want to lose it waiting on a discount.

I got our DVC through RCI wait list set up today....

Still watching for codes JUST IN CASE!

This is going to be a nerve wracking next few months!!!!!!!!

I to am hoping for a pin code or or FD. If not oh well. I did book a package with AAA which saved 10% which is better than nothing for Oct 5-11. Keeping an eye on things to.

I booked our mini budget friendly vaca for Oct 18-21...HOPING for a code/FD...something to make even more budget friendly :) Either way, SOOOO excited!!!

I say yes, absolutely. That way you are booked for what you want. You can always change it if something better comes around! That's I do, too. I'm currently booked from a value room the week we want. I also have an ongoing search running through my Dad's RCI account to hopefully trade into DVC. If that doesn't work, at least then I still have a room booked. What makes me nervous is that my parents are coming and haven't booked their back up room yet....

Well, I got what I thought was a code last night. Woo hoo! I thought. Then I clicked the link, went through the selection steps and... priced my vacation exactly the same as if I did it on the regular website. Ah well. I'm just going to call in tonight and book with a AAA discount but hope for something better later!

Do you book with AAA discount thru disney site or thru AAA?

You can book a room only reservation with a AAA discount directly with Disney. If you wish to book a package, you have to book through AAA and they are in charge of your reservation at that point (meaning any changes will need to be made by the AAA agent).

We have AAA so how do I get discount? Do I put in a code or something on the disney website? What % off is it?

I believe you have to call to book, and the % varies. Usually it is low, about 10%-15% for values, maybe 20% for higher resort categories. Also, it is not a guarantee that any AAA disncount will be offered at all. The best thing to do is call Disney and see what they have available for your dates. Good luck! :goodvibes
