Confess your Disney sins!

One day I walked into Magic Kingdom looked at Main Street took 2 photos and left. BF thought i was out of my mind.
One day we went to 3 parks and didn't ride a single ride. MGM, Epcot, and MK. We were at the parks from open to close.

So, I guess if we're confessing... I love having all of you to share my obsession. However, a part of me wishes you all didn't exsist so that I may have the part to myself well at least wish it wasn't so crowded sometime. I'm so nervous about going in October - some say crowded some say not. I've never been this time of year. Here's to hoping you are all mostly going in August. But truly I'm so glad I have you all to make the next 7 months go by a little faster. :grouphug:

My Confessions:

1. I Love Maelstrom. I think it is the cheesiest ride in DW, but it makes me crack up every time. The first time DH, DD, and I rode it, there was a huge line, and we thought, "this must be good!" We came off laughing in tears, we waited all that time for that!. This has since been our "family tradition".

2. I bought 10 day tickets for our upcoming trip, we are only going 7 days, so I can plan another trip in the near future. My husband does not know this!

3.When my husband brings up other vacations, lets say, Hawaii. I always think, I would rather go to DW, and I could get us there cheaper!

never been on any of the mountains. Almost made it to splash but a parade blocked my route to get there. Then i got distracted and forgot to go back to ride it later.

I bought a dole whip. I took 2 bites. I threw it away . I was paranoid for a while that someone with a lime green mickey would chase me down and make me finish it.

In 14 trips I have never seen the American Adventure.

I hate going to Frontier Land because the smell of turkey legs makes me gag.

We (including dd 4) ate popcorn and Mickey bars for breakfast one morning last year because the line at Main Street Bakery was too long. We were in a hurry to get to Buzz. popcorn:: (But I did buy dd some milk so it wasn't a totally unhealthy breakfast).

We left CP at dinner before all the characters came around. We told dd (4) that it was Piglet and Eeyore's nap time.

-I don't like Dole Whips or beaver tails

-Illuminations is my way of beating the crowds out of Epcot

-Now that I have a DD, I am going to have to actually spend time in Fantasyland, and I am NOT excited about that at all

-I can't pass an ice cream cart without getting a Mickey Bar. Even if I have already had 2 that day. What is it about them that makes plain vanilla ice cream and chocolate taste so good?

-I think autographs are stupid.

-I am really looking forward to going to Universal one day

But as a wise man once put it: "I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints, the sinners are much more fun..."

A very wise man :thumbsup2

Looks like I'm not the only one who had some "secret" feelings of shame ! :lmao:

1.) I have been to Disney 4 times and have never once been at Epcot.:confused3

2.) Husband's first trip to WDW was last year at age 42 ! He acted like the biggest kid of all....

3.) Son on last trip was 4, and decided he didn't want to ride any dark, fast. or scary rides...OKKKKKKKKKK...

4.) DS asked if there were any diggers in MK, and screwed up his face at all the "girl's Stuff". ( princess stuff ) princess:

5.) Joining the line for never eaten Dole Whip or turkey leg ( and not sure I want to now ! )

6.) Jungle cruise...is....sooo....lame ! ( Whew, said it. ) :snooty:

:lmao: *making a mental note*

that's definately something to remember for my next trip.

I have to confess that when I was in 6th grade I stole a pair of those purple
3-d classes from Captain EO. That haunts me everytime i go into a 3-D show and I hear the Cm direct guests to drop them in the bins.

Ok here is another one....

Soarin was ok but I really didn't understand all the hype.

My sin is that I did not enjoy Illuminations and considered it over-rated. Not even planning it for the next trip.

My Disney Sins:

-I hated the Safari "ride" in AK, felt like animal viewing in fast forward.:drive:

Oh I am so with you on this one. Could not stand and wouldn't even think of going on it again if it weren't for my kids. In fact, for our next trip I'm hoping to plan that attraction while the youngest is asleep and then DH can take the older child while I sit out. In fact, even if she's awake I may make DH take both kids and I'll go sit and enjoy some atmosphere :)

I confess...that I considered inflicting serious bodily injury upon my DH on our last trip. :rolleyes1

We had lunch ADRs at 50s PTC. On the way we passed JoJo and DH decided to make a "quick" stop so DD3 could get a pic made. Told us to go ahead, they'd catch up. A table was available after 5-10 min, and I waited outside for DH and DD while the rest of our group went in. Nearly an HOUR later, they show up, and I was FUMING, almost in tears. :scared: I'd stood out there freezing (it was Dec) with no way to contact them, and we'd missed the whole meal. All told, they'd waited for pics with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and JoJo. I know he was just indulging DD (she's daddy's girl), but it was only our 2nd day at WDW, plus she'd met Cindy & the gang at 1900 PF the night before. Our whole group was ready to beat him too, since they really couldn't enjoy their meals for wondering where the heck he was.

After that we carried phones with us, and have a "no splitting up before meal reservations" policy.

I have not ridden Mission Space as of yet. Now, that doesn't sound like a true Disney sin I suppose. But, here's the sinful part. The reason I haven't ridden it is because I'm afraid I'll get motion sickness. Not because I'm "scared" or I might have a heart attack and pass out or die. Just because I don't want to feel sick during my vacation. Well, even though they have added the green version with no spinning, I STILL haven't ridden it. I could kick myself in the $#%*! So, in August, I vow to ride the green version. I'm gong to try not to get myself all psyched up about it or I'll chicken out again.

Shameful.

One more thing - during our last trip in November I didn't ride TOT or RocknRoller Coaster. neither one. ridiculous.

I just posted, but I remembered a bigger sin than not riding Mission Space.

We booked the Grand Floridian and checked out after one night to stay at our then favorite resort, the Beach Club. We liked the room better at the Grand, but we couldn't bare to be away from the Epcot Resort area and Stormalong Bay. Since then the Poly has become our favorite and we can tear ourselves away from that area - we teeter/totter back and forth between the Epcot area and the MK resorts. They both have so much to offer yet they offer a totally different experience.

Imagine, leaving the Grand Floridian after one night.
