Zune

Does anyone have a ZUNE? My son wants one. How different is it from other MP3 players.. is it worth the money? Can i get lots of gigs elsewhere for a better price?

I got one for DD for Christmas and played with it for a little bit before wrapping it. I already charged it, set up the software, and put all her music and pictures on it. Now I want one for myself!
The screen is larger than the iPod and is so clear. It has an FM radio, and WiFi. You can share songs wirelessly with other Zunes. Pretty cool!

I have one. Unless your son has 10,000+ songs or tons of videos, 30GB is really plenty. I was looking at the Zune vs. the Creative Zen Vision:M mostly myself. Feature-wise, they are very similar. I chose the Zune because the interface is better and the screen easier to read. Never really looked into iPods, though, but you should find lots of reviews out there comparing the iPod to the Zune.

Is it worth the money? Well, the Zune, the Zen and the 30GB iPod video are all the same price. There are bigger players, but like I said, it may not be necessary.

My wife has both a Zune and an iPod. She says that the Zune is a much better device (better operating software, better sound quality, more storage for the money, better controls, better screen), while the iPod has much better library management software for your PC.
