Zumba classes anyone?

Has anyone done Zumba classes? If so, what did you think of it. Classes are starting tonight at my daughters school and I am still not sure if I want to sign up. I watched a few videos on YouTube and I am not sure if I have enough co-ordination for it. I want to avoid looking like an idiot but it looks like a good workout.

I tried it once. it was fun, even though my body does not move that way naturally, lol. the one thing that annoyed me was the stopping/starting of music. not sure if it was just the class I took, but the instructor made it seem like that was normal for the class. just made the flow seem too disjointed to me.

We offer this where I work, and it is the latest fitness fad.
EVERYONE pretty much looks silly when trying to do these moves, so you won't look stupid-trust me.
Go to the back of the class.......nobody can watch you then if you feel self conscious.
Give it a trial run. let the instructor know you just want to "sample" the class before buying into it.

I have been to 3 classes so far, it's very hard catching up w/ it, but you go at your own pace. I'm getting better each time.
Personally, i like the Pilates and Yoga classes better.Of course i'm probaly a whole lot older than you, but the class i'm in has ages varying from early 30 to 70 yrs old.

I've done it, and it is REALLY fun. I am a runner, and had an injury that required me to stop running for awhile. I needed to do something lower impace, so I decided to try Zumba.

And....everyone looks funny, so don't worry about it.
