So happy you were able to find out what she's been hiding. I kind of thought she was a girl when you said you couldn't find out at the first ultrasound. In my experience, it's harder to "for sure" say girl than boy--boys usually *ahem* easily make their presence known!

Now, on to decorating and shopping! She needs a princess dress!

Boys do have a little extra that makes them easier to spot.

I have been having the hardest time shopping! I can't decide on a theme, and none of the crib bedding I see really catch my eyes. The one I loved the most from Babies R Us is not there anymore! It isn't even available online.

She totally needs a princess dress, and a fairy dress.

Yay a girl!!!! Congratulations! Remember girls love turquoise. That's so funny about the garden hose, I do the same thing! hehehe. In HS I moved with the 'rents to Maine. They built a house and I got to pick the carpet and wall colors of my room. I chose a tropical turquoise carpet painted two walls yellow and collaged the other two walls with tropical pictures. Love turquoise and yellow together. Made the room very bright and welcoming even in the middle of winter. I guess that explains my love for CBR too!

Anyhow, congratulations again. I can't wait for your first time with baby TR!

Oh yeah, I thought of some help for you. Do you use Pinterest? It can help you create an inspiration board for your nursery. I'ts a super addictive sight.

Oh, I do plan on showering my little girl with lots of turquoise! In fact, I think that's why I've been having such a hard time with the nursery. Turquoise is just not that popular a color for crib bedding. I love Tropical colors and feel.

One of my students told me today : "Your little girl is lucky, she'll get to go to Disney World". To which I replied "Yep, many many times!" I cannot wait to bring her! If all goes well financially, we *might* be able to go in about 20 months.

I have never heard of Pinterest before, but I will definitely check it out. Thanks!!

well congrats...I was thinking boy but it's great to have a girl, I always wanted a girl but we ended up with 3 boys, oh well watcha gonna do, can't send'em back or get a refund lol

I really don't mind having a boy and a girl, but I was really afraid of ending up with 2 boys. Having a girl now will put so much less pressure on the second pregnancy, so I'm doubly happy.

A teacher at my school told me she was hoping for girls, yet got two boys. But now that she's used to boys, she can't see ever having a girl.

It was totally awesome! Ron compared the two ultrasound to eating out of the garbage (hospital) and having a 5 star meal (private clinic).

I'll come back later to post replies, but I had to come and vent. A couple of months ago I fell in love with this crib bedding set from Babies R Us. I didn't buy it as I obviously did not know if I was going to have a girl or not, but as soon as I found out I went. They didn't have it anymore. I called every Babies R Us in the area, but none had any left. It's discontinued. I found in on the states website, but they don't deliver to Canada. Same with amazon, or Ebay.

I spent all day looking at different website to find a new bedding. I found a couple I like, but they just don't "feel" right. Turns our making a girly turquoise nursery is harder than it looks.

I am definitely not budging on that. I've been looking at pink bedding tonight and as much as I personally like bright pink, it just does not feel right for Claudia.

I'm trying very hard to find one. My friend's been helping me tonight so I *may* have found something. The biggest problem is that I feel about the NoJo set the same way I felt about my wedding dress. The moment I saw it I knew it was the one and have been comparing everything to it ever since. And of course nothing comes close. Heck, I almost bought it when I first saw it, despite not knowing yet if I was gonna have a girl or a boy. I was like "who cares, my boy will sleep in a butterfly room". Of course I talked myself out of it, but in retrospect it might have been Claudia sending me a message.

I know it's possible to ship something from the US to Canada and pass it off as a gift, but the shipping cost for something that big would probably be very high. And I may have to pay extra taxes on it as well, even if it's a gift. It would be nice, but I don't know if the end cost would be worth it and I certainly don't want to make things complicated for you.

I have a few more stores in my area to check out tomorrow that don't have websites, so maybe I'll find something. And I did find one okay one from Walmart that I could accessorize. It looks horrible on the website though, so I won't post a picture.

I won't bore you with the pictures of the bones of her finger, of the top of her head. Here are the 3 best pictures we got. It was very hard to get decent picture as she was HYPERACTIVE!!!

They tried to show us how she looks in 3D, but again because she was moving too much the image was never clear. We did get this very CUTE shot of her mouth.

I wanted to post another Disney update today, but I spent the whole day shopping for bedding and visiting my mom. Good news is, I may have found another bedding I love almost as much!! I ahd actually seen it yesterday in my big online search, but wasn't that thrilled about it. I think it's because in the picture it looked more blue than turquoise, and because you couldn't really see any motif. But I saw it in a store today and boy does it look awesome!!! The turquoise is just PERFECT!, and I love that the fitted bed sheet is a nice lime green. Gives a pop of color to the whole ensemble. On the actual bed spread you can see little blue flowers that look so cute and girly. I love it!

Only problem is, it's quite a bit more expensive than the Beautiful Butterfly one, and comes with less pieces. Speaking of that collection, I did a couple of Babies R Us today and though I did not find it, I was able to find the lamp and a fleece blanket from the same collection. So at least I have something. So now it's for sure that the nursery will be in turquoise, purple, and a nice soft lime-green. No pink for my little Peanut (even though I personally like pink).

Thanks! Lots and lots of Disney dresses! I already bought two pieces of clothing from Walmart because they carry the Disney line and are very inexpensive : a pink Minnie onesie, and a turquoise Daisy dress.

I agree, I like it better than the other. How are you with DIY? Maybe you could find a pattern and make your own, or find someone who can? Have you tried Etsy?
