Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

While I have never been pregnant, just knowing the affects it has on your body and hormones I am not surprised at all that you aren't feeling so enthusiastic about returning to work! I'm sure that getting back in the routine will help some at least.

And, as Lisa said, we will all still be here whenever you feel up to doing updates again. :grouphug:

Thank you! I too hope that after a few weeks back I will be back to loving my job again. At least tomorrow is a pedagogical day, and there are two more of those in late November. And the holidays are just around the corner. And after that, first trimester will be over and it *should* get easier.

It helps put a smile on my face to know that you guys are willing to wait on me and be there for me. :grouphug:

Thanks Lisa! I feel like such a Debbie Downer with my previous post, but I guess it's too be expected that my emotions would play trick on me with all the hormonal changes happening within me. Thanks again for keeping me in your thoughts, it means a lot to me.

You are quite welcome! You don't sound like a Debbie Downer.....just a woman going through her first pregnancy.

I did read all of your trip report. However, I was feeling pretty nauseous the whole time so I don't remember everything. Hope you get to buy the sombrero you want some day.

Oh yeah forgot that you were nauseous while reading. I'll tell you what when you feel better I'll let you reread my trip report and I'll keep on commenting on your trip report. How's about that?

And the sombrero I hope I get one once I return to the Mexican Pavillion. It's not fair! How come you had a good experience at Epcot and I didn't? Hmph! I'm jealous now!

Thanks again. Btw, I'm glad to hear that things seem to be going well for John with his meds.

Sounds like a good deal!

As for why you didn't have a good experience in Epcot, stuff happens. We had a not-so-good day later in the trip. The bad times make you appreciate the good times even more.

Hey there!

Just finished day 3. I have to say I LOVE your bathing suit. So cute. :)

I never knew they had photopass photographers at the water parks. The pictures are great. It looks like you guys quite a relaxed morning...

In 2010 we needed to get stuff from a pharmacy and we managed to get it delivered in our hotel. I wonder if you could have done the same for your contact lenses solution.

I love the Run Disney t-shirt. Running a Disney race has moved into the very top of my Disney bucket least.

I also loved the Potato Head accessories. Beatriz played with the Potato head at the store but I did not know you could buy the accessories by the bucket. Very cool! :thumbsup2

you guys look so cute all dressed up for your super at Fultons. I love sea food also but $175 will keep away from Fultons for a while.

Have a great week!
Q

I have to keep reminding myself that thousands of other teachers have done it before. If you have any tips on how to handle being a pregnant teacher I would truly appreciate it. Or just going through it together and being each other's moral support would be great too. I forgot, how far along are you?

I'm 6.5 weeks. We have our first ultrasound on Monday.

I find that eating small meals/snacks throughout the day helps me feel ok. And just doing work at work- I don't bring ANY home...

I hope you start to feel better soon!

Glad to hear your taking up on my offer. Because nobody likes a sick mother right?
Also apperciate? From my experience there was nothing to apperciate thanks to the sodding weather not too mention me losing my family and all just because I was trying to seek shelter from the rain. (Sighs) Oh Epcot why'd it have to be you to be the unlucky one? But if the sun shines on you when I come back then all's forgiven.

Q

Thanks! I bought this bikini for our wedding week in Cuba and love it!

Photopass photographers at the water parks are such a good idea! Not everyone has a water proof camera so often people have no photos of that day. And even when you do have one, like we do, it gets annoying lugging it around all day.

Yeah, we possibly could have had some contact lenses solution shipped, but it wasn't really a big deal. I wear my glasses 99.9% of the time, and that romantic dinner really was the only time during the trip that I had planned on wearing contacts. :confused3

I am really not a fan of jogging, but doing a race in Disney sure would help motivate me! :wizard:

I love Disney's whole "fill-a-bucket" full of accessories, like the Mr Potato Head, the legos, and I think they have a skull for pirates stuff too. :thumbsup2

Cool. The first ultrasound is exciting, even if you don't see much. You are due about 2 weeks after me. :)

I try eating small snacks, but I just NEVER feel hungry and never know what to eat... This week seems to be better though. Yay! And I totally agree with the not bringing work home, I hate doing that!!

I meant that your bad day will make your other, better days at Disney seem even better, or your future time in Epcot. :)

Oh right. I knew that. All the same though I can't wait for your next update I hope it'll be a good one.

First full week of back to teaching is done and it did not go as bad as I thought. I just basically really took it slow. I feel pretty good at the moment, so I thought I'd give you guys an update. Thanks for being patient with me!

It won't be my most exciting update, but hope you enjoy this one. :)

Day 5 part 4 - Sunset Over World Showcase
August 15th, 2011

We exited Mexico to slightly less scorching hot temperature. It was getting late, but before thinking about dinner we had some Vikings to visit. But before, let's take our time exploring what Norway has to offer.

Beautiful Stave Church.

Inside there is a little museum, and some pretty intricate carvings.

Some of the cute village buildings. I don't think this architecture is my style at all, but I can take it in small Epcot-like doses.

As we left Norway we came upon this beautiful sunset over World Showcase. I don't think you can ever have too many sunset pictures, so here are all of them.

Dinner And One Last Ride

Glad your first full week back to work went well!

I love the pictures of the sunset and the different countries. And I somehow forgot to ride Maelstrom last time I was there, so it is the only ride I have never done at Epcot. I plan on changing that in February, and enjoyed the pictures.

God those sunset pictures are glorious makes me wish I should've taken my camera to the parks but I ended up leaving it in my room of the appartment while I was there. Luckily I won't make that mistake again.

I'm glad to hear that your first full week at work went well. I remember how tiring it can be while pregnant.

The sunset pictures are beautiful as were the pictures of the countries.

Glad your first full week back at work went well! It must be hard teaching and being pregnant, that's not exactly the kind of job where you can just sit around all day. :confused3

Great update! You got such great pictures of the countries, I love the World Showcase! :lovestruc

Glad to hear you're feeling better! What grade do you teach?

I love your pictures of each WS country! So pretty!

Hi Mel! I'm sorry to hear that you've been a bit stressed lately! I'm sure all of those pregnancy hormones are to blame. I'm glad your first week back to work went well, though. Hopefully it gets easier and easier!

Love all of your sunset pictures. They make me want to be in Epcot right now! :goodvibes

Maelstrom is certainly not a big thrill or E ticket ride, but it's nice and entertaining. I wouldn't wait very long for it, but there are always FPs available, and usually for not too long later. :)

Cute couple! Look forward to more from you, hope your trip was wonderful!

Thanks! And :welcome: We did have a wonderful trip. :wizard:

Thanks. I love sunset pictures, and World Showcase really lends itself to it.

I noticed for the first this week that it's getting slightly harder to go up stairs. Tuesday I was fine, then Wednesday when I got towards the end of the second flight of stairs my legs were tired. :rotfl:

I can't sit around all day, but I do try to sit more than usual, and have students come to me instead of me walking around and going to them. Or I'll just sit on my desk when explaining something instead of standing up.

I love World Showcase too!

Glad to hear you're feeling better! What grade do you teach?

I love your pictures of each WS country! So pretty!

I teach grade 1 (2 groups) and grade 5 (my homeroom). I teach French Second Language, that's why I have three groups. Grade 1 is especially hard, but I think because they missed me so much they have been a bit nicer. :goodvibes

I think my pictures of Italy and the Mexican pyramid turned out the best, but I like them all. :)

Hi Courtney! One of the nice things about being pregnant is I can blame everything on those hormones. :rotfl2: But seriously, they are responsible for a lot of what I've been feeling. January and February should definitely be easier pregnancy wise, which is a good thing because those are the too hardest months teaching wise.

I want to be in Epcot too! And your TR is making me want to be at Kona or relaxing by a pool at a Disney resort. :goodvibes
