Real Life Update - Chinese Lanterns
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. The pregnancy nausea really kicked my butt!

Fortunately, I saw my doctor last week and she prescribed to me these anti-nausea pills. It took a few days, but they have finally started to work and I feel a lot more like myself again. I don't feel *great*, but at least good enough to go on about my day.
Saturday was the first day I felt better, so we went out to do several things. One of them was visiting the Chinese Lanterns Festival at Montreal's Botanical Garden. It happens every year in September & October and we knew DD (Ron's daughter) really wanted to visit.
It was a nice but really cold night, so I thought it wouldn't be too full of people. WRONG! It was PACKED!! We had to park at a further away lot, and waited over half an hour just to pay to get in! Oh well, at least it was beautiful, as always. DD & Ron took several pictures, so here they are. I cheated a bit and included pictures from last year. Some of the lanterns were the same, but the main display changes every time.
Enjoy!
These were all taken before you enter the actual Chinese Garden.
There are several buildings spread across the garden.
We walked around the main path and saw several displays.
The main and most impressive display is set up on the lake that is in the middle of the Chinese Garden. This year's theme was the Emperor coming back triumphant.
I had thought about wearing a warm coat and layering, but forgot about boots. After about an hour my feet were freezing so we left.
DD really wanted her own lantern. Unfortunately it broke on the way to the car.

Ron and DD spent most of Sunday afternoon trying to fix it. I think they got it to work again.
Next year I want to go during the first weekend, hoping it's not going to be as packed. We'd go on a week night, but DD is not with us so we can't.
I should be back with a Disney update in the next few days.
