Zenni Optical, 5 pairs of glasses just arrived!

Yesterday my 21 DS went for his eye exam since his contact lens script had expired but his glasses didn't. The eye exam place that I took him to would NOT give me his PD! They said that was their property since I was not purchasing glasses from them :headache: I refused to leave there until they gave it to me. My DS was a bit embarrassed by my actions but I did not care. I told them that legally they had to give it to me since it was part of his script. They gave me the script for the glasses with no problems. After about 15 minutes (no exageration) of moaning by them, they gave in and did it. I didn't trust they gave me the correct info so when I got home, I called Sears which is where he went 2 years ago. His glasses were from there then... I asked them what his PD was, they told me to hold on, they pulled his chart and gave it to me over the phone.. no questions asked. I told them that since he still had time left on his script for glasses I was going to order from Zenni since he lost his other pair and I didn't want to spend a fortune.. they said they didn't blame me.. now here is Sears, that I did NOT bring him to for his updated contact exam... gave them no money in 2 years and they gave me the info over the phone. This other place.. Opti Express, I gave them $100 yesterday for an exam & they refused to give me his PD... until I made a stink ... go figure....
Now, my son doesn't want to order from Zenni, he is afraid that he will not like the way they look. I think I am going to order anyway since I can get a complete pair for him with clip on sun glasses for just under $30. His contacts I am going to order online as well. They are going to run me close to $200 for a years worth.. he had the trial pair in yesterday, he lost one already.. :rolleyes1 He wants the Acuvue Oasis.. I think I am going to tell the doc he needs the Acuvue 2 since they are nearly $10 per box cheaper. He out grew his asigmatisim thank God.. those were really expensive contacts... :scared1: I think I have aquired about a years worth in my drains/pipes over the last 3 years :sad2: and that explains why he is short them in the one eye.. I don't feel too bad though, his vision has changed so he would have not been able to use them anyway.... that is one way of looking at it..... glasses are lost, short contacts on the one eye.. oh the thrills of children.. and he is 21! It doesn't get better, let me tell you, if they are 12 or 21, they still loose them! :scared:

Wow. Thanks for the heads up.

My Mom was just talking about needing new glasses. I am going to pass this information on to her.

I don't need new glasses right now but you can't beat the price.

OK your top set of numbers should be your OD and your bottom set of numbers should be your OS
The person who wrote your script out didn't put in the decimal points.
OD-First drop box should be +1.00, second +0.75, third box axis goes in as written 120 nothing in the fourth box

OS +0.50, +0.50, third 85

Thank you so much!!
:thumbsup2

Thanks! DH lost his sunglasses.....I am going to look into this :thumbsup2

How can they sell these glasses for such low prices? I'm glad I held off on getting new sunglasses until now!

I will just have to call my vision center tomorrow or Monday for my prescription and PD number. I can't wait! THANKS OP!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

BTW, all the frames you ordered are the ones I am drawn to as well!

:) It is a wonderful deal! My sister, who is a bit picky, saw my black $8.00 pair and promptly ordered her a black and a brown pair like mine, LOL! :rotfl: For the price it is unbelievable!

We just spend over 600.00 on new glasses and sunglasses for my DH and I.

Has anyone ordered bi-focals from them. Either lined or no line. I have a very strong RX and need to have poly lenses is this doable?

I want to get a spare for DH and I when we go to Disney.

You're gonna love this--they have poly carb as the standard lens! I have not yet ordered the no line bifocal but I plan to, I'm waiting until we get back form vacation, but DD got two pair that I am waiting for. Hopefully by Thursday!

My DH loves his bifocals (progressive bifocals, I think is what you call them). He got the most expensive frames and still only spent about $90. His favorite thing about them is how light they are. He said that you can hardly tell that you're wearing them (big improvement over his old ones).
