Things have been stupidly stupid around here lately! I don’t think I mentioned it here but I think I mentioned it to @pkondz that we had some really bad weather a couple of weeks ago that blew the roof off one of the buildings next to my house into the roof of my house! This was the house roof after the storm:

Also part of the roof fell into the garden and nearly killed me so that was fun.

I love how you folks from across the pond call it a "garden" . so much more lovely than saying "out in the yard"!

I could have been a legit ghost in the Haunted Mansion!

So glad you're ok!!

On the good news side my mum had her one year check up for her breast cancer, so far the doctors are happy that everything is clear but we are waiting on her latest x-rays to be sure. Fingers crossed she is doing really well and it isn’t back.
As far as Disney (that’s what this whole thing is about isn’t it?) I haven’t planned anything for our trip lately!!

That is really good news. Hope everything else is going ok!

I do have a list of restaurants I want to try and get but when I tried to work out where and when I wanted to do them (working with DDP credits and OOP) my head started to hurt so I stopped! I hate maths.

Oh boy, I love ADR planning, but there's way too much to choose from. I can only do it once park hours are released (since I'll want to be in certain parks depending on extra magic hours) which is usually only like a week/10 days before the 180 day mark

Plus, I’m sure you haven’t noticed this and it might come as a surprise, I tend to change my mind…a lot. So even if I put a shiny ADR plan together the chances are within five minutes I would have changed it…more than once!

I would not be surprised at all!!!! I bet when your trip comes around, your ADR list will be completely different from what it was at the 180 day mark

Oh my, insurance people are likely banned from Disney - they don't seem to understand the concept of "nice". Glad things have started to become sorted, and having no phones and internet is just cruel. But I know what you mean about RL and busy - I am so glad that I got the last Christmas project complete this morning!

Christmas was good here, except for last night - one of my spoons is missing! I just replaced my flatware because the other set was down to only 4 matching teaspoons. Where do all the spoons go? I googled it, and apparently it's a world wide problem. The current theories are that spoons either are disgusted at their mistreatment of being dunked into boiling liquids, so they spontaneously turn into spare coffee cups, or they pick a random sock and make a break for freedom together.

I just noticed I asked if you were a good Christmas! I can image all those socks and spoons just be running off together just like "Stuff this! I'm tried of having my face dunked into hot coffee and you are sick of people shoving their feet into your face let's blow this joint!" Hey, that sounds like an idea for a Pixar movie! HIRE ME DISNEY!

Hey there anyone who is reading this very lackadaisical PTR! All four of you! I thought it was about time I finally did something actually Disney related in this Disney PTR just to confuse you all!

I haven't changed our dates (I have been tempted on more than one occasion ) but since I booked and paid for our flights those dates are pretty much set in stone or paper...Anyway! That means I haven't changed our hotels...yet...I'm kidding! Sort of...the only thing I might change is the room category if I go crazy again, which could happen.

So I guess you are wondering what I'm going to talk about if I haven't changed all of our plans, well if you would let me finish I would tell you. Jeez.
I thought it would be fun to talk about FOOOD!

Mostly because I love food. Also ADR dates are in March which is crazy soon and I still can't make up my mind what the heck I want to book! So I thought I would do a run down of my ADR wishlist of all the places I want to go and maybe that will help me cut it down as I may have more on my list than I have days of my trip for

I don't know about you but I am one of those people who look at and obsess over Disney menus much more than is probably healthy...

ADR WISHLIST PART ONE

• Yak and Yeti

This is one that I'm putting on my actual ADR list. I think I have mentioned this before but I will not be having the fried wantons ​

But I would have the Baby Back Ribs - slow-roasted pork ribs, hoisin BBQ sauce, chicken fried rice, sweet chili slaw followed by the Chocolate Cake- Chocolate pudding cake, raspberry sauce as we are on the DDP!
​

• Sci Fi Dine In

Can I just say how much I love Sci Fi? It is one of my favourite places at WDW. People say the food isn't all that great but I think it's perfect! Because we all know I'm very classy and have high brow food tastes!

To keep with my highly cultured food choices I would have the Build-Your-Own Angus Chuck Burger - on a brioche bun, flame-broiled beef patty topped wit your choice of the following: cheddar, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, bacon (yes I altered this to show what I would pick! ) and a Hot Fudge Sundae - Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry. Really classy.

• 50's Prime Time Cafe

Another love of mine and firm family favourite. This is always an easy choice (I always have the same thing!) Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken - served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and seasonal vegetables and Dad's Brownie Sundae - chocolate brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, Caramel sauce, whipped cream and toppings.
You know the more I get into this the hungrier I'm getting...

• Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italianio

This one has a question make on it, will it still be there when we go?? They seem to be shutting EVERYTHING at DHS so this might get cut too. In 2012 when we last went here I was really sick so I made some really bad choices (not that ate much anyway) but DM got the steak here and it was to die for so clearly if Mama Melrose is still there I would totally get the Charred Strip Steak- with five-cheese baked macaroni with pancetta, aged balsamic-shallot butter, and Chianti Wine Reduction and the Traditional Cannoli - house-made creamy cannoli filling with a hint of citrus and dusted with cocoa powder. But really I want the kids dessert! Look how cool it is!

• Via Napoli

This one is happening. It has pizza and Italian men. That is the only maths I like.

Wood Fired Authentic Pizza Napoletana Build Your Own - Margherita, tomato sauce, mozzerlla and basil; Add a topping $3.50 each -- Italian Spicy Sausage, Pepperoni, Red Peppers, Mushrooms, Chicken Sausage, Pancetta, Fresh Diced Tomatoes (I just built my own! Boom!) No dessert here when there is ice cream elsewhere to be had!

• Be Our Guest

Okay, I am very tempted to try the breakfast here. Usually we don't do breakfast at Disney (or at home beyond cereal) but as it's only a quick service credit it might be fun! We would probably split the Open Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich- Poached eggs, Applewood smoked bacon, brie cheese and Arugula on a toasted Baguette served with Fresh Fruit (but without the brie what is this a French restuartantt?! ) and the Croissant Doughnut - topped with Banana-Caramel Sauce, Pastry Creme, and Chocolate Ganache, cause nothing says breakfast to me like pastry creme and chocolate ganache!

But we couldn't go to Disney without going to BOG for dinner. That is just not allowed. Again I had the same thing both times in 2012 so naturally I would want to have something different right? Errr...wrong! I would have Grilled Strip Steak - with garlic-herb butter and pommes frites. No offence to the dishes but the grey stuff kinda sucked so no cupcakes for us!

• Crystal Palace

Usually we are not character meal types, mostly because I don't like buffets and other people!

But this is an exception as it has my favourite thing ever: Eeyore!!

​

I love him so much! So really this is a must do! For breakfast. I can cope with that!

• Beaches and Cream

There are two passions I have ice cream and hot dogs. This place has both, therefore this place is the best. It's a fact As you might have guessed I would have a Beaches Hot Dog but we all know why we are really here ICE CREAM!!

I can't decide which I want the Milky Way Sundae - Three Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, Caramel, whipped cream and a cherry or the Fudge Mudslide - A gooey, chewy Brownie covered with Hot Fudge, Three Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream, Oreos, Whipped Cream and a Cherry. Maybe I should just get both

I thought it would be fun to look at the awesome sounding cocktails that I would would very much like to partake of at WDW at the end of each ADR wishlist section. Here are the ones from the restaurants above.

Orbiting Oreos - Oreo shake mixed with Godiva chocolate liqueur - Served with a souvenir Glow Cube

Dad's Electric Lemonade - Dad whips up an electrifying blue drink with Bacardi Superior Rum, Skyy Vodka, Blue Curacao, Sweet-and-Sour and Sprite

Mowie Wowie - Dad brought this drink back from the Pacific- Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Melon Liqueur, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice

Italian Surfer - Disaronno Original, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, and Pineapple and Cranberry Juice

Sicilian Sunset - vodka, orangecello, orange and pineapple juices over shaved ice

I did without the chicken and instead tried the pot-roast.

Maybe they've cleaned up their act.

Also while I was on the phone I put in our room requests! I asked for:

AKL- No request, we are staying CL so we get a savannah view anyway so we will just go with the flow

BC-High Floor, Full Balcony

GF- High Floor

Poly- Tuvalu, Third Floor (the woman on the phone said that all none CL TPV rooms were in Tuvalu but I'm not sure that is completely true. At online check in I might put Tuvalu down again just to be sure!)

CR- High Floor (seeming a theme here? )

OKW- Old Turtle Pond Road, High Floor (also the woman on the phone had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for Old Turtle Pond Road! )

Overall I'm not that concerned if we don't get everything we want but I am really hoping that we get third floor at the Poly (full balcony! ) and Old Turtle Pond at OKW! And everything else...

So....there you go!

I'm so excited - I have an ADR at Sci-Fi for the first time in forever! I'm not a fancy schmanzy type of girl either, so that burger looks great. Milkshake is on my list, because why not have dessert with your meal?
