Zebra domes?

What are Zebra Domes??

I know that they are a dessert served at Boma.

But what are they ?

What do they look like?

What size are they?

Hi there...

Zebra Domes - well, in taste I found them similar to Napoleons

They are like a oval cake/pastry with a pudding/mousse inside and a mixture of white and chocolate icing over the top (giving the zebra stripe effect) there is a liquor taste in there - maybe kaluha?

They are quite small... you can eat more than one

What are Zebra Domes??

I think it tastes simialar to a taramasu (sp??), it has a coffee flavor to it. It happens to be my daughter's absolutely favorite dessert.

Just left AKL a couple days ago, I agree that the Zebra Domes were excellent. I asked for the recipe, the waiter took my e-mail address and said they would send it to me. We just got home and they recipe is already there. I haven't downloaded it yet, but I agree that it has a coffee and Kahlua taste.

I don't like coffee either, but I LOVE Kahlua, and the zebra domes have a Kahlua taste, not coffee. They are absolutely delicious and not to be missed.

Yes, the ingredients are: milk chocolate, espresso coffee, egg yolks, sugar, gelatin, Kahlua, heavy cream, white chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate ganache. Hope this helps.
