Really? I didn't think they were very good at all. The only dessert I thought didn't taste like store bought was the banana bread pudding, it was very good, moist and homemade tasting.
All the other food was very good, especially the meats.
I concur! I adored Boma -- the vegetables, meats, salads, Safari Lager, everything BUT the desserts. I took one of most of them and had maybe 1 bite of each and that was more than enough. I didn't try the banana pudding, but I did like one tiny pyramidal cake, maybe a spice cake?
OTOH, the next night we ate at Jiko, because we had liked Boma so much, and I had the white chocolate & "elephant fruit" cheesecake and it was outstanding!
Even so, I'll definitely go to both Boma and Jiko next time. The AKL is beautiful, the restaurants are gorgeous and it was just plain fun and tasty dining.
Ate at Boma 5 times for dinner and loved the desserts! Especially the Zebra Domes! We even asked for and got the recipe!
