What's divinity?

A candy made from a sugar syrup and egg whites, resulting in a fluffy, creamy confection. Common additions include nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, and flavoring extracts. Divinity can be dropped by the spoonful, or can be spread in a pan and cut into squares once hardened.

Yes, but I don't think meringues taste anything like divinity. It is denser, like a fudge, but white. It was my mother's favorite candy, so we always had it at holiday time.
