Yowza! Plans changed - going to WDW!

We just decided to change our summer vacation plans and go to WDW again this June. I can't believe I only have 7 weeks to plan! I am thinking that renting DVC points may be a cost-effective option for us. I know there is a board here for that, but haven't looked yet. Have any of you rented points before? Any problems doing that? My head is spinning! (in a good way, of course)

I have rented points twice and will most likely rent again next year. It worked out so great the first time I went back to the same owner and rented from her again and will also rent from her next year. I got to stay at places I normally would have never stayed. We had only stayed value before I found out about renting points. We now have stayed at BWV and AKV. Not sure where to stay next year. Really liked both of those resorts but would also like to stay at BLT. Read the DVC boards - lots of good information. That is where I got started and now I am hooked.

As a DVC owner, I will tell you that at only 7 weeks out, your available resort options will be very limited. There will probably be availability at OKW and SSR, most other resorts have been booked by DVC owners for many months.
