You've Been There But...

I was kidding! :rotfl2: I love Seattle...want to go to Ikea? I am excited that at least Portland is getting one. I have been wanting to go to Seattle for ever and can't seem to get there. My DH goes up there a few time a year to drag race but the rest of family hasn't been able to go with him, besides I don't want to be stuck at the track, I want to see the sights and go shopping! hey, I have a Rainforest cafe 10.00 gift certificate, If we end up not making it there before it expires do you want it?

Also, aren't you the one that posted about your annoying neighbors and the trees before you sold your house? If so how's the new house?

You guys have better shopping down there! No tax.

And yes...we are moved into the new house and LOVING it. It is the first time I have lived in a place where there is room for everything.

And we love the rainforest cafe. Does he race out in Monroe?

No tax, but Oregon shopping can be boring, Eugene especially! Portland at least has Nordstrom, we don't. Seattle has Ikea, we don't. We only have boring everyday stuff.

Glad that you are loving your new house! It must be nice to not have your old neighbors :thumbsup2 what a pain that must have been.

If we don't end up using the rainforest gift certificate I will PM you and get your address to mail it to you.

He races in both Bremerton and Seattle.

Portland is finally getting an IKEA?!?! Thank god! My aunt and grandma come up just for IKEA and then they spend the whole damn day there! At least they can stay home and do it and we can come down and shop without tax! :cheer2:

It is suppose to open in Spring 2007. It will located in a mall that is being built called Cascasde Station and is located at the SW corner of I-205 and Airport Way. I can't wait. And no tax...even better.

Florida - lived there for a few years. Just not for me
Louisiana, Mississippi - too hot and humid
Texas - too many crazy people ;) actually just too hot and brown and conservative for me
North Dakota - too remote and way too cold.

I like where I am. We get snow, but not that much snow. The summers aren't too hot, and it's not as cold as northern New England, and I'm near all sorts of landscapes - country, cities, mountains, beaches, etc...

Hmmm, places I've lived and won't go back to: Oklahoma and Mississippi.

Places I've visited: California (seriously, who taught you people how to drive??), West Virginia (we've been to the places that make all the WV jokes true), any large city, North Jersey...

I like Oregon - no sales tax. And a Portland Ikea? Let's just say the five hour drive there is a lot more scenic than the four hours to Seattle.

Ohio - I just can't live in a state that allows smoking in public places - I've lived in New York for too long and been spoiled by the fresh air. ;)
