That is because @hardcorestitch thread doesn't mention "TV" instead of "YouTube TV" it said "YouTube". I was very confused as I didn't think Disney channel was on YouTube which is the reason I clicked on it.

We are just waiting it out.
We have Disney+ & Hulu so to be honest not watching much of that content on YouTube TV anyways as I don't have to fast forward commercials only to go too far and then have to rewind lol

We are trying to wait it out, but wont wait much longer. We were not able to watch the Louisville Kentucky game last night, and I was not happy.

Waiting it out, no small kids in my house, so don’t miss the Disney channels. Hubby says he can watch sports on the other channels and not to spend more money subscribing to another service just for ESPN.

Unfortunately, it's really nothing new, it's only "new" because it's affecting a streaming service. Negotiation & blackouts have been a part of the cable/satellite infrastructure for years.

Disney is really holding a lot of cards here.

The only thing I watched on ABC was Jeopardy and Monday Night Football. I think some of the major tennis tournaments are on ESPN so that may eventually become an issue, but I can live without it for now.

We are part of a big family plan and likely we use the ABC the most (so they don't care) ... although the others do watch college football so that might impact them a bit. DH has been able to watch some of his sports on his computer.

We have the Disney+ Hulu ESPN package, and for me that is fine as I don't really care about 99% of sports and don't need to watch anything ABC live.

I've had some of those days where I've come to realize if You Tube TV does away with our family plan, I would be fine and not pick up another plan. My TV needs could be met with a few streaming with some good shows. I'd keep the Disney bundle, Netflix, Apple TV ... and be fine. DS also has Peacock & Paramount but I rarely watch those so they can go. We have MLS (free) and MLB (free) so keepers.

The only time I even remember it's missing, is when I go to watch Funniest Videos on Sunday, but we have Disney+ Hulu, so I don't care. Honestly if they lowered my bill $20 every month and didn't get them back, I would be happy LOL.

I've stuck with cable/TiVo, probably 40 years now (about 25 years for the TiVo component). Streaming can get so complicated and often winds up same cost, or more. I'm very comfortable with tech, including TV, but when I go to Vince's house and want to watch some TV, I tell him what I want to watch and he figures it out, oftentimes he even has trial and error to get the channel.

Waiting it out. I was just given a $20 credit from YouTube TV. I don't watch sports. So it doesn't matter if I'm not getting ESPN. And I have a great over the air antenna with clear signals from the TV antennas on the top of the Empire State Building for ABC & local stations. So, I'm good for now. I do miss being able to rewind. And so far, I haven't missed any ABC shows that I then want to catch On Demand.

Disney appears to be losing $30 million per week and the loss will distinctly affect earnings.

Google, with the $20 monthly rebate, would lose $200 million per month minus the amount they pay Disney and minus the amount of people who do not claim the rebate (the rebate has to be actively claimed and is not automatically refunded.)

Based on numbers alone Disney is likely losing more in the short term. However, that does not tell the entire story. Youtubetv is a financial rounding error for Google. It is 2% of Disney's earnings. Everyone is losing here, but Google can wait this out much longer than Disney. No one wins.

Just getting regular YouTube is better. No commercials and you can watch shows whenever you want. Plus it is much cheaper.

Except you can't see sporting events or other shows (DWTS for example) live.

And yes, some people do like watching things live
