YouTube question

About a year ago, I bought this computer I am using for the sole purpose of going on-line. I figured the best protection for my main computer was to never touch the internet (I don't even run an antivirus program on it to help keep the speed at max), but getting back to this system. I bought it really cheap, and so it is not the best computer in the world.
Recently I have started watching some Disney videos on Youtube, but I have noticed that the videos are always choppy. Now, I'm sure that my computer is probably the reason (afterall, you get what you pay for), but I was wondering if there was something I could do to help increase the viewing of these videos, without having to put any / much money into it?
Is there one better video viewer than another (I believe I am using Windows media), are there certain settings that might help?
Any suggestions (besides putting a lot of money into my computer) would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is that the speed of your internet connection has more to do with the choppiness of the playback, than the cumputer you have.

I'm sure that is possible, but supposedly I have a broadband (512k) connection with Prodigy (although I do live in Mexico, so you never can be quite sure).

I personally think its youtube. I have a DSL connection and a lot of times the playbacks on youtube are choppy. At work we have a T3, I believe, and it happens there too.

Youtube some times is slower then others depending on how many people on our the site.

Again, thanks for the info, and the link. I went there and installed the latest flash player, so maybe that will help. It also mentioned that you need at least 500 k bandwidt speed. This might be the problem. Supposedly I have that, but honestly I don't think I hardly ever really do get that speed. Oh well, I'll just have to take what I can get.
