Yourride Great but watchout for Jimmys charges

We booked yourride for our trip from Sanford to Vistana Villages , this was booked months ago with Rabbitz, the cost $300 for five people round trip including a grocery stop in a stretch limo. I confirmed this with Thom before we left, no problem our driver would be Jimmy, he was waiting at the airport he helped with the luggage and we made a grocery stop, the limo was great. When we arrived at Vistana we said $300 , Jimmy said no $380, WHAT
we said Thom had confirmed $300, he said no its $380 for airport parking and tolls and $60 for his tip, after much debate which was quite embarassing he was not going to leave without the full amount, we paid him . when we had checked into our room i phoned Thom and explained what had happened, he said he was very sorry and said Jimmy should not have charged us that at all and our $80 would be given back to us on our return trip.
The pick up was for 5pm our driver Mohammed arrived at 20 to 5 and as soon as he got out of the limo he gave us the $80 and said how sorry he was, it was a mistake.
So i must say the service was excellent the limo's were very clean and in great shape, but watch out if you get Jimmy for him charging you extra, as it worked out he ended up with no tip at all ,which makes me feel better:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Thank goodness Thom/Mohammeded gave you back your $80 on your way back to the airport and apologized for the incident. In my opinion that is great customer service from Thom on the way he handled that situation :).
 
Wow! We had Jimmy last summer and had absolutely no problems with him! I think CaliD also had a great trip with him...

Oh my, that doesn't sound like Jim at all! :( We had him in January, and he was great!

With these towncar company reports lately, I think we'll stick to renting a car. Sounds like each company is having problems.
 

On a slightly different note, I used Yourride in June for our trip and reserved a limo. I had Mohammed as our driver, and there was a problem with him and the return driver. I contacted Thom after I got home. He replied to me promptly and assured me that what happened never should have happened, and that Mohammed "would no longer be working for the company." (I never requested that he be fired -- I just wanted Thom to know what had happened.) I don't find satisfaction in anyone losing their job, but now I wonder if my complaints were addressed at all with the driver(s), or if I was just being told that to appease me.
I was very pleased at the time with how quickly Thom responded to me and how he addressed my concerns. I guess I'll just have to wait and see next trip!
 
Just used yourride this past week (9/2-9/7) for both pickup from and return to the airport. Great Service!! We had 8 people in our party so we had gotten the stretch limo and Jimmy was our driver both ways. Since we were staying in a villa at Disney we stopped for groceries before heading to the resort and I'm sure we went over our alloted 30 minutes, but no complaints from Jimmy (and no extra fee!). He was also kind enough to stop at a convenience store on the way to the airport for our return trip (us Jersey folks couldn't resist the cheap florida cigarette prices, LOL), again at no extra fee! I would highly recommend the service again (and Jimmy as a driver, he was a blast). Hopefully we'll be back soon and in need of their service. We were never charged anything over our original agreed price at the time of the reservation.

Jimmy told us about this happening and we were told by him that he was not the driver that day. He was supposed to be the driver but ended up not being able to make that run, so someone else was sent.

Glad you had a good experience with yourride, but i must say when we got to the airport and Jimmy was waiting i asked if he was Jimmy he said yes, so unless there are two Jimmys this is not correct, also Thom emailed me and told me that he would not be using Jimmy again which also is not correct. As i have already said the service was great but i do not like to be ripped off.

This is Rabbit. I used to be the owner of "Yourride" Transportation. And a lot of people on the DIS broads know me. I talk to "Jim the Limo Driver" I used Jim for two years and never,never had a problem with Jim or his service!!
Now to tell you what really happen..Thom call Jim to do the job and Jim said OK so when you call and Thom told you Jim was going to be your driver at that time he was right. Then Jim called Thom back later and told Thom he forgot that he was booked on another run. So Thom called "Mohammed" to do the job and told him to say that his name was "Jim" BUT Mohammed called another driver to do the Job. And to say that his name was "Jim". The problem is the new owners of Yourride are not taking any responsibly for there Mess ups and blaming it all on the drivers. And I'm very sorry about all the complaints on the DIS boards about the bad service from Yourride Transportation. When I was the owner I did care about "YOU and SERVICE" and so did all of the drivers that was with Yourride Transportation. :mad: :mad: :mad:
 
That's exactly what happened to us...

Mohammed picked us up and took us to our hotel, and we discussed pick-up arrangements. He told us that he would be the driver picking us up in one week. A week later a different driver arrived at our hotel to pick us up. He never told us his name, he was rude and his limo was dirty with trash and half-open soda cans (one of which spilled on my leather purse). He pulled up in the drop-off area at the airport, removed our luggage from the trunk and put everything right in the road -- he didn't even bother to take it to the curb. I emailed Yourride when I got home and got a response from Thom. He told me that this was unacceptable and that Mohammed was obviously contracting out his assigned trips. Thom then told me that this would not happen again, and that "Mohammed would not be working for his company any longer." Apparently, this is not uncommon and continues to happen. :(
It's a real shame -- we used Yourride twice when Rabbit was the owner, and had wonderful experineces.

Would anyone who has had a bad experience with "Jimmy" please look and see if it's the same guy you had?

Also, if anyone has him as a driver in the future, could you please get his phone number--I'd like to book him direct next time. I wouldn't have done so when Rabbit owned the company, but feel no loyalty to the new owner...

This is our first trip and we've reserved with Yourride. The last thing I need or want is bad service on our one and only vacation this year! I hope things get straightened up and people actually start using their real names! Think I'll keep an eye on the board and rebook with someone else if this kind of thing becomes standard practice for the business.

Would anyone mind if I ask a non-YourRide question here?? Since we're speaking of different drivers and how to find them...does anyone remember Don from Tiffany?? We had him twice in the past, last time being Nov. 01. When I made my reservations for our trip last month I was told that no, there was no Don and never had been one at Tiffany. But I remember people on the boards talking about him and how terrific he was!! Does anyone know if he is driving for somebody else now??? He was just so much fun.

There's a guy by the name of Ray Don that has a Black S/Limo. That does do work for Tiffany at times. There was a Don that used to work for Tiffany But I think now he works inside the airport and not driving. Hope this helps..

My family and I love Jimmy!!!! We had him on our last trip, and he was wonderful. He drove us to and from the airport, and also to and from 2 trips to Universal. I do not believe that Jimmy would ever try to rip somebody off, Rabbitz explanation makes a lot of sense. But it is a shame for Jimmy, he is such a nice man. I know many people on the DIS have requested him and most likely feel the same way.

Wow ,after seeing the photo of the real Jimmy i can tell you our driver was NOT him . I feel really bad saying what i said about him when it was not him at all. it does all make sense now though, because all the posts we read said how good Jimmy was , and now i see our driver was an imposter:eek: :eek: :eek:

Now I think I'll switch my limo service to Tiffany ..... just to be safe.
