Ok, pretend you're the imagineer in charge of developing a whole new ride at WDW (please don't say bring back the submarines or bring back...).

What theme will you use and what is your idea.

I'd have something of a door chase ride themed after the door chase scenes in Monsters, Inc. I think a massive version of the floating-type mechanism used in Peter Pan is in order, rather than a roller coaster.

hmm very interesting

i would make something along the lines of conservation and the different world enviroments at Ak or the land ( not much chance of that with soaring and everest)..maybe a splash mountain boat or peter pan hanging type thing( like the hanging thing best) that travels through deserts, mountains, savannahs, rainforest, great plains ect and shows indigenous people, plants , animals & climate with storms like tornados, monsoons, earthquakes, blizzards ect.,, it could be thrilling( swirled in the tornado, tigers or bears jumping at you, hot dusty weather, earthquakes shaking and things falling, water falls or rain, white out and snow blowing and cold, giant rf bugs ect ect ect) but also educational.. kind of a better jungle cruise, land ride and conservation station all rolled into one.i really like the Ak idea of encouraging enviromental responsibility with out shoving it down your throat

or an interactive 3 d ride in place of the movie ride with all the disney animation characters. you'd move but it would be a 3 d movie with special effects and maybe the ability to interact somehow with the characters( like the virtual reality type things) have no idea how this could be done but it would be fun to dance with the beast, swim with arieal, ect.

.

I would say
a storybook rollercoaster ride based on "The Nightmare Before Christmas" entirely devoted to it all year round. Along the lines of Snow White/Winnie The Pooh/Peter Pan, but rollercoaster style. In the scene where the ground opens up to a curve as Jack walks on it, the curve could be a loop. You could go through Halloween town and it would be a bit scary, but not in a Dinosaur way...more of a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride way... Anyway, there could be a very fast descent into Christmastown and then finally the collaboration of both together. It could retell the story of Jack Skellington and appeal to adults as well. The BEST thing about this ride is that it would be a moderate moving storybook ride, but then suddenly turns into a fast-paced rollercoaster now and again, sort of taking you by surprise.

I would design a dark ride/3d ride around Fantasia.

It would be in the "mold" of Spiderman at Universal IOA. It would be a moving vehicle and go through 3D scenes of Fantasia. It would be a musical and you would get all sorts of special effects.

I would love to see Disney hit back on it's roots just a LITTLE more and designa ride around Mickey mouse.

Definitely some kind of dark ride based on The Nightmare Before Christmas! That would be so amazing!! :bounce:

I would love to have a Mickey Mouse ride! He is my absolute favorite.

I would like something along the lines of Winnie the Pooh esq but a little longer and have all the major characters involved but I would have a few dips in there but not too many because you want the younger kids to be able to go on the ride as well.

But have Mickey save Minnie or save Pluto and Goofy. I think that would be a cute idea. I love the Monsters Inc one by the way!!!! :Pinkbounc

:wizard:

OK - Here's what I would do. I absolutely adore " The Santa Clause ", the FIRST one. I would design a gentle ride-through ride using many of the North Pole scenes. The ride vehicles would be just like the train ride at The North Pole. There would be many elves in audioanimatronics. There would be a "Judy The Elf" audioanimatronic to greet you.
I'm glad you asked, because I would really like to see a ride like this.

Yeah, and they need Jack and Sally in the parks!!

I have another idea... how about an interactive ride where what you say or do can change the outcome. I wouldn't exactly know what it would be based on, but I just thought kids & adults would both enjoy this.

Wow! VERY cool idea! I would love something like this also! I love Philharmagic and Crush's Turtle Talk...this combines the two concepts into a ride. It would be amazing!

OOOoooo I like the Nightmare Before Christmas roller coaster idea. That sounds unique. Or you could take the same idea of the rollercoasters decoration/theme but turn it into a log flume ride. Essentially another Splash Mt. but through a synopsis of the movie.

Animatronics, music and water. Oh my!

That idea rocks!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

i just saw in the 05 Ug they were/are planning on revamping HM as the nightmare before christmas for that time of year

I have been thinking for a long time that a ride in relation to Monsters Inc. or Fantasia. I love the idea of a ride with Monsters Inc and the door theme but in my opinion, the ride would be better suited as a roller coaster. With Fantasia, I would go with the obvious choice and that would be a Sorceror's Apprentice theme. It would probably be a water ride.

Headed to Disneyland in 24 days!! :cheer2:

Watch the show and think of the possibilities... endless. A themed ride in the genre of Indy at DL. :earsgirl:

hmm.... My ideas are:

(1) Mary Poppin's Supercalifragilisticexpialicoaster! The ride would be an enclosed coaster combining some 3D/projection and animatronics that would start slow in London on the roof tops until you plunge straight down towards a sidewalk chalk drawing that you pass through into the colorful world of the sidewalk paintings as you twist and turn, the final portion would be a rise and fall that would simulate zero G as you "Go fly a kite!"

(2) Tazan's Vine Swing - Similar to the old fashioned carnival ride where you sat in a swing like seat, this ride would feature a rotating center and vines. You would be connected to a harness on the vine so instead of sitting you would be free flying to get the sensation of swinging through the jungle with Tarzan.

I love the Monster's Inc idea too!!! All of them so far are great! :)
This is fun!
Mike :goodvibes
