Thanks everybody! We are back home and tired. I'll be back in just a few to give ya'll some Georgia trip details.

:cool1: Can't wait to hear how it went. I thought about you and Ginny a lot this weekend. Glad everyone arrived home safely and had a good time! :goodvibes

That's too funny 'cause I thought about all my Dis friends while we were driving that loooong drive.

Oh no Ginny, I got to bring Lacey home with us! She's home from now until August 17th!

I think I remember that she was coming home with you now that you mention it. I bet it was hard to come to work this morning. Enjoy your time. That is almost one whole month. Does she know of the change yet at CBR

When I left the house this morning, everybody was still asleep. Lucky dogs! I've asked Lacey to please visit all of her friends while I am at work and stay at home for the majority of the evenings. Hunter wasn't too keen on the idea but he'll deal with it.

One of the guys from the mission group will be coming to stay with us next week sometime. He's only been to Louisiana once and it was just a quick stop last year. He's looking forward to spending some time with us and meeting all of Lacey's friends and family. We'll probably have a cookout or somethiing while he's here.

Neither Hunter nor Lacey know about switching from Pop to the CBR. Lacey really couldn't care less where we stay so long as she's along for the ride. With all of their missionary and youth camp work, Lacey has spent the night on floors, in nasty bunk beds, on buses, etc. so she'll be fine and dandy no matter where we are. Bless her little punkin' heart.

Well, I certaintly did miss that Lacey was coming home w/ya'll. :yay:
HOW WONDERFUL!!! I'm so happy, I'm sure Hunter is happy his sister is home. Dayne won't say so but you can see the difference since Gwendolyn has moved home; although he asked the other day "are they EvEr going to start building their house":lmao:
Have a great day!!

welcome home Lacey! Enjoy this time and hopefully she will be around in the evenings!

We are super duper excited to have our girl home. I know her though. She is used to living with 15 other people (well, in three duplexes) and having people around 24/7. She gets a bit bored at home with just the four of us, five if you count Mamaw next door. She's already made plans to work and serve food at our local food bank/shelter. She's also supposed to speak to the youth group at church. Somebody from our church called her on the drive home to Louisiana and asked if she could possibly work our children's church one Sunday morning. I don't see how she does it. I'm bushed after just 8 hours at work.

Youth is a wonderful thing. I can be up really late a couple of nights and then it takes 4 nights to make up for it. I can't believe you are just 2 weeks out.

Ain't it though. But, when I think back....at Lacey's age, I had been married for 3 1/2 years and had a 1 year old (her). So, I guess I did have a lot of energy back then.

It's funny you talked about being up late a couple of nights and it hitting you hard. John called at 12:30 (we always talk at lunch) and he had just gotten off the phone with my mother. She had only been up for about 30 minutes. She and Hunter roomed together in Georgia and Hunter stayed up until after midnight each night. Mamaw had to get all caught up on her beauty sleep.:rotfl:

It is so tough to be the grandma. Austin called me this morning and had to walk me through his fantasy baseball league so he could make changes before the deadline. His internet was down at home. I said you could drive to the house and use mine. He stated he was too tired. He had been at the lake all weekend with friends and was going to bed. Oh to be 17.

As you will recall, when we last left off: 1) we had seen Minnie and Mickey in their safari duds; 2) I'd told off some obnoxious non-handicapped guy sitting in the handicapped section; 3) saw the fire throwing/sword twirling guy set his head on fire and, 4) Hunter had gotten chosen for the parade in the Festival of the Lion King. Whew! It was just now mid-afternoon and we had already done quite a bit of stuff. Up next on our list was Dinoland USA.

On the walk over, I saw the entrance to another character spot and the castmember standing at the entrance said that there was no wait at all. Well, heck, you can't beat that so down the trail we went to find these guys just waitin' on us to come give them a hug.

The coloring/quality of those pictures is pretty crummy. It was covered and for some reason all of the pictures turned out with a redish tint.:confused3

It was getting cloudy again and we knew that Primeval Whirl would close down if it started thundering/lightning/raining. Knowing that, we headed straight to Primeval Whirl. Here are a few pictures I took:

Details on the ride vehicle in front of us:

Then we started going up, up, up:

Now ya'll know I am afraid of heights so you're probably wondering why in the world does she get on Primeval Whirl. I DON'T KNOW!!!!! Here's a picture I took as we spun around one of the corners:

After the first go round (literally) on Primeval Whirl, John and Hunter wanted to ride again but I sat the second ride out. John and Hunter had to share a vehicle with two other guests but they didn't care.

And after taking their picture, I backed up and took this one.

*****INTERRUPTION***** A doctor/client of our's just walked in. He came over (we are just down from the hospital) to drop off papers in between surgeries so I'll sign off for now.

Alex so wanted to ride PW. It was down the whole time there. Love Pooh and friends. We were at that area also and yes it is very dark in there. Waiting for more

Ginny: Given the fact that you guy had SOOOOO much rain during your trip, I can well imagine Primeval Whirl being down. That's exactly why John and Hunter immediately jumped back on.

That is so very true. It's funny now that I am doing my report the rain doesn't seem so bad. We sure did a lot of things between the drops er downpours. Maybe that is why I had such a good time. It allowed me to enjoy each moment instead of feeling so rushed.

I love the hundred acre woods guys! We tried that character spot, but the line was too long so we skipped it. Maybe next time.
I know I will never go on Primeval World! Just the ride description makes me nauseated:sick::laughing:

Aww... I just love Pooh and Friends!! Especially Eeyore he's my very favorite!!:lovestruc

The boys talked me into riding Primeval Whirl this year.:sad2: It goes much faster than I thought it would and all that spinning!!!! I can certainly understand why you sat out the next ride.:thumbsup2 Great picture of Hunter in Primeval Whirl--too funny!!(especially w/one of the other guests looking on:laughing:)

I'm in! Can't resist a trippie by a mom named Lisa! I only got to page 32, but the BBQ is calling to me, so I'll be back later to finish getting caught up!

Love it so far, very entertaining! :cool1:
