You're Dressed for Kissin' Frogs- A 3 day July Audition TR-Updated 10/4!!!

I'm sure your time to make it through an entire audition and get called back will come. :)

Between the two visits we've had (I know! A lot, right :rotfl:) We've seen two different Rapunzel's (also different from yours), and they've been some of the best interactions we've had. Must be the hair ;)

Hahaha, there's been a lot more "friends" of Rapunzel's recently, I know they're in the process of hiring more, since they moved her into the princess room haha. There's something about Rapunzel, I've only met one bad one, and she was definitely not good, just plain horrible hahah. Usually she's awesome though

I'm sure your time to make it through an entire audition and get called back will come. :)

Yay! It will! Haha thank you for the kind words!

I left off when I was being the park hopping MASTER, and leaving the Magic Kingdom, and hopped onto the monorail, heading towards the TTC.

My favorite resort! Followed along with the WEDDING PAVILLION!!!!! IIIIIEEEEE

After a quick ride on the bus, I was there and into the park before I knew it!

My first stop was Tower of Terror, but the wait time was 30 minutes, so I figured I’d check back in a little bit later, and headed over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid, where the next show time was 8:10, I was a little concerned about everyone in the line getting in, but we did! Yay!

IMG_1544.jpg

IMG_1545.jpg

The pictures aren’t that great, and honestly, this time, the show wasn’t either. There were people who were on their phones the entire time, like holding them up to their faces, for the entire theatre to see, and on facebook, not recording or anything. I was also not very impressed with the Ariel, truth, it was the end of the day, but the words to one of the verses got screwed up somehow… With my undersea adventure, I thought about going to the Muppets, but was just getting tired now, and was thinking about that cupcake from Starring Rolls, sadly, they were closed :( Tower of Terror still had a pretty long wait, and it’s just been a long day for me, I was le tired, and there were too many annoying people around (another thing that my level of tired would not put up with)

IMG_1547.jpg

IMG_1548.jpg

Luckily, I beat the crowds out of the parks, and managed to get home to the hotel in 15 minutes! Yay!

Just stumbled on your TR. What a great story! I, too am a dancer/performer/musician for my 2nd job but I am too old and fat to even think about performing for Disney!

I found it really interesting to read about the audition formats. Something you don't read about every day. Hope you keep trying :thumbsup2

IIIEEEEEEE!! This excitement is strictly because I have gotten the photopass cd for the September trip in the mail today! I've already started on the TR, but was waiting for the photopass to officially start on it! So, now I can, and thus, am going to finish off and close this TR as it's pretty ready to be done anyways haha!!

*********************************

It was now moving on to my last day at Disney, and thankfully, I had gotten a late flight leaving Orlando so that I could head into the park that morning and have some fun before returning to normal boring life, ahha. I woke up right at 7:30, and my first thought was that “I don’t want to have to go back to the real world & think about real world problems, *sadface*”.

I got ready for the day, packed up my last minute things, checked out of the hotel and dropped my bag off with luggage services. For breakfast I picked up an uncrustable and a banana to eat in line for the bus. Thus bus pulled up at 8:11, and I was at Magic Kingdom no later than 8:30 am! Yay!

IMG_1551.jpg

I could definitely tell that it was going to be a crowded day at MK today, thankfully I was only going to be there for a couple of hours!

GFDSFDKSMDLGNG <- Those, my emotions watching the rope drop show, seriously, it’s so amazing. Like, I love how cute and adorable it is, and it makes a family’s day even more special by getting to be part of it. UGH, if I ever get that opportunity, I seriously think I’ll die of happiness, haha!

With a smile on my face and a spring in my step I started on my adventure down Main Street onto my first adventure of the day, and along my way, saw the girl from the audition the day before! Yay! I figured I’d pop by the shops later to say a quick hello & good bye to her before leaving, and continued on my way!

My first stop of the day was to jump right in line for Disney’s newest Princess, Merida!

IMG_1565.jpg

Her meet and greets didn’t start until 9:15, but my plan of the morning was just to hit up as many characters as I could before having to leave the parks, so it was beneficial for me to be in line now! While waiting I saw Alice skip past to go and meet some guests before she disappeared for the day! I only waited 12 minutes before being let in right at 9:15! Instead of just waiting up at the meet & greet area, Merida had come right up to the door and took my arm to walk with me up all the way to the front while chatting with me!

IMG_1644.png

IMG_1649.png

Seriously, VIP treatment! She asked where I was from, and if I rode a horse the entire way, well, of course I did! Haha.

IMG_1656.png

IMG_1657.png

After chatting for a bit, she asked if I would like to help wake up her bear cub friends, well of course I would!! Merida and I decided that the best way to get them out would be to say that there were lots of cakes and desserts waiting for them, and of course it worked!

IMG_1653.png

IMG_1655.png

IMG_1654.png

She was seriously amazing, and the bear cubs, TOO CUTE, they would react to things you were talking about, and get all excited and make noises at points, it was super awesome. Merida seriously impressed me, I had watched some videos online of her when she first came out in the parks, and was a little worried as some of her friends had some trouble with the accent, which is quite understandable, Scottish is hard to get a lot of the time, but this “friend” had it DOWN.

IMG_1650.png

IMG_1651.png

With my adventure over to Scotland all wrapped up (and finished up quicker than I though, especially with all the interaction I got!) I headed back behind the castle to see if anyone was out over there, and lucked out with the Tremaines! I chatted a bit with their handler as I waited in line, commenting that she must have one of the more awesome positions, those girls are hilarious to just watch interact with everyone all day!

IMG_1645.png

They were sure to ask on my prince situation, and when I told them he was non-existant, they said that they were in the same boat!

IMG_1646.png

However, since we were in the pretty large kingdom, it was quite possible that I would see some Princes later, but if there were any eligible bachelors that I ran into later, they get first dibs, pretty legit if you ask me, it is technically their kingdom, and they are famous!

IMG_1647.png

IMG_1648.png

They were seriously fantastic, as always! With that done, I headed toward Adventureland, with my other favorite Princess left to meet, and along the way, noticed that Peter was already out and about for the day! I managed to get in line for Ariel 3rd of the day! It wasn’t even that late, man, character hunting is so much easier to do in the morning hours of the day!! Ariel and Eric came out pretty quickly, and honestly, my first thought was “WHERE ARE ALL MY PRINCES?!” not necisarily mine, per say, but the friends of all the princes I was used to meeting, were nowhere to be seen, no coco-puff, no Tanessa’s boyfriend, and the friend of Prince Eric I was used to meeting (and he remembered where in Canada I was from…) were all missing! Boo!

IMG_1593.png

IMG_1603.png

IMG_1604.png

Eric pointed out how my flower was much like Ariel’s, complimenting on it, I mentioned that Ariel was my favsies, and she commented on my treasure bag, how it was a lot like hers that she kept all her things in. They were both great, not the best I’ve ever met, but they did the job haha. It was just the way that Eric looked at Ariel that you could tell how much he loved her, and that was something I hadn’t seen before, it always makes me happy when the couple goes back to each other, being all cute, between meet & greet people, it brings the love more to life! Haha!

It was earlier than I thought it would be by this time, so I had a little bit more time to kill in the parks, so I figured I’d head over to Agrabah to check out how things were going over there. Jasmine & Aladdin would be out in just about 15 minutes, but there was no one in line, so I jumped around the corner to go see Frontierland Donald first! Yay!

IMG_1601.png

IMG_1600.png

Donald is seriously just the cutest, I love all the outfits he has, adorbs! The meet took no time at all, and he was super cute, blew me lots of kisses, so much love! I headed back to Adventureland, and didn’t have to wait long to see Jasmine…that’s right…just Jasmine….there was seriously something working against me seeing the Princes I was used to this trip! I had been planning on getting a video for Tanessa of her boyfriend, but if he wasn’t out, boo.

Jasmine asked if I was all alone, and when I said yes, she thanked me for taking the time out of the day to come and say hello to her! Well of course I would, I mean, Princesses are important, aren’t they?

IMG_1597.png

IMG_1599.png

IMG_1598.png

I wandered back down Main Street to see if I could get into Aurora’s line, but thanks to her being right at the entrance of the park, and being outside, her line was absolutely insane! The other princesses were already at a 75 minute wait, no thank you, so I headed back to Liberty Square so I could jump in line for Tiana. The CM had already closed off the line, but since there was only 1 of me, she let me in anyway!

IMG_1594.png

IMG_1595.png

I was thinking of passing along a message to Naveen with her, but she wasn’t very talkative, she was definitely more interested in getting through the line. (there was a girl at the end of the line who was clearly friends with the friend of Tiana), it kinda sucked, as I’ve met this Tiana before, and she’s been great. I do get it though, sometimes days are just days, haha.

Next up, it was time for lunch! I headed towards the bakery, and stopped to take a few shots of the going ons of Magic Kingdom along the way, the Move It Shake It Celebrate it!

IMG_1566.jpg

IMG_1567.jpg

IMG_1569.jpg

The turkey sandwich was what I ended up grabbing for lunch, and seriously, that bakery was crowded as HECK, there really was nowhere to sit, people were hogging tables & extra chairs that they didn’t need, and even when everyone was done eating, I get it, you want to sit, but people are waiting to eat…. I managed to get a seat finally, and started to chow down!

IMG_1570.jpg

As you can tell, there was definitely one piece of bread that was way too large for the sandwich, ahha! But it was still fantastic! After lunch, I was super reluctant, but started to head out of the park, it seriously gets harder to leave every time, that place is home!

IMG_1571.jpg

IMG_1574.jpg

When I got back to All Star Sports, I still had a little bit of time to kill, so I grabbed a carrot cake (only the greatest dessert from Disney ever!) and a new bottle of water and sat out by the pool area just enjoying the sunshine and loveliness!

IMG_1575.jpg

I also started thinking about everything, life, Disney, home, etc, ahah. I, at the time, figured that when I got home, I would apply for the International Representative program at Epcot, and that would be a start. My Mom also said it would be good for me to do that and then I’d be down there for an audition if it came up. Problem being that if I was down on that program, even auditioning would get me kicked out of the program as it would go against my Visa. Not what I wanted to do…. My current plan doesn’t really involve the Epcot program, I figure I’m going to spend the next year continuing to audition, and do some more cruise line, and overseas Disney auditions, and there’s a dance program out East that’s only like 6 months to get a bunch of training. I’m also going to start doing as much “preparing” for any future auditions that I do end up attending, there’s things that would set you apart, being more tan, getting that tattoo removed, getting a little bit smaller/more toned (I know this is the part where you roll your eyes because I’m “skinny enough”, but with the bigger chest, I look bigger, not cool for Princesses haha!!), and whiten those teeth. I’m also taking more dance classes and really going to throw myself into living for my dream!!

I mean after all, if you can dream it, you can do it, right?! I also came onto facebook to find one of my friends’ status’s saying the following:

IMG_1576-1.jpg

Naturally, that’s a sign, right? Haha. With my trip wrapping up, I headed over to the ME bus stop, and the bus ended up picking me up early, which, now that I’ve thought about it, is probably what made me throw my camera into the luggage I was checking, which was such a bad idea. Obviously, it got “lost”, and there was no finding it, and no compensation from anyone, but hey, that’s what you get I guess.

Obviously, there isn’t a whole lot to review about this trip, as it was clearly just for the audition, I just arranged my flight times to get some actual time in the parks. I had a good time, I always do, even when I’m traveling solo, it honestly is awesome. Yeah, sure I didn’t make it far in the audition, but I did it, and that’s what’s important. Here’s the update on what’s happened since this audition/trip (I don’t know how much I’ve included in the TR so far…so sorry if I’m repeating myself!)

The girl I auditioned with made it all the way through and got fitted to be friends with Rapunzel, she then had to make the choice on whether to stay down there and be full time (thus moving away from her family and boyfriend, and put college on hold) or hold out til spring and do the college program then, which is what she ended up choosing, and I believe she’s in the character pool right now, so good on her!!

Disney put up on the audition website an “electronic submissions” for Tink, Periwinkle, Ariel, Belle & Rapunzel. I of course, put my stuff in right away (I’m in the height range for the princesses, not the fairies). I put myself in for Tink when they were looking for her (even though my height’s off, I fibbed a bit with it) and I heard back that I wasn’t the right fit within a week. Well, they kept pushing the deadline back further and further, then finally took it down, and then they reposted it….seriously…except now Belle (and I believe Peri) are off it. I still haven’t heard anything, and from what I gather, everyone else that has heard has been a no, so, keep your fingers crossed!! I also plan on doing another parade/show performer audition next, and of course, Dream Along with Mickey & FOTLK dancer auditions (check out my Sept TR when it starts for some awesome stories involving those!)

Anyway! I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick little TR and that you’ll be sure to swing by my others! My April is still in progress (check the signature) and Sept’s should begin shortly!! Thanks again for reading along!!

Amazing character luck!

I am sooooo very relieved that they've finally moved Rapunzel into the princess meet. I am beyond excited that we can get a FP to see her. (at least until the FL expansion is done-then I'll need a whole new strategy)

Love your great attitude about the auditions and working hard to make your dreams come true. I believe that it will happen for you. :goodvibes

Are you starting the new TR today? Let me know!

Great trip report!
I am so sad the bears are gone! We never got a chance to see them. :(

Looking forward to your September report!!

Ack! It was waesome!! I am so happy that they moved her inside, it seriously saves so much time! I am sad that Flynn's no longer out, but whatevs, that's just more incentive to go to MNSSHP & MVMCP haha!! I am very interested to see how the new FLE will change things, especially because it looks like ALL of the princesses except for Jasmine will be in there. Uhm...I sure hope it's either you get to meet them all, or it's a set of three of them, like, I don't want to have to play princess roulette with ALL of the princesses. Ugh. It also breaks my heart because Tiana is included in them, and that means Naveen won't be out anymore.... boooooo

Here's hoping!! I'm figuring we should know pretty soon, they've taken the posting down off the website, and they start college program auditions tomorrow and go for the rest of the month, so I figured they'd be letting us know before they get too far into those auditions? Who knows?! ACK

Thanks!!! Ah, that's too sad, they were super cute, but honestly, there's so much going on at that meet & greet, you won't miss much ahha.
Thanks!! The link is now posted!

Wow, you certainly got through a lot of characters in one morning! Love the Merida meet'n'greet! :)

Do the electronic auditions work similarly to the in-person one? Do you need to turn in a resume and such? I assume that eventually they would want to see everyone in person. Good luck!

Haha it was awesome!! Merida's just the cutest!!

When you go into a character audition in person, they dont ask for a headshot or resume, they don't take them. For electronic, its a headshot (I sent in more than one as Ive got them with different hair colors haha) and a resume, and a like, "cover letter" I guess. My main bet is that they'll ask me to do a parade auditon, as I've got the extensive dance/gymnastics experience, who knows?!?

Ahhh can you believe we are both back now :crazy2:
So sad!!

I really appreciate you posting all your experience with the audition process.
It is such a hard route to take but you have such a strong passion and persistance and I know it will all pay off.
My old drama teacher used to say auditions are always a massive gamble.
BUT they give you the best experience for when it's time for your jackpot.
Haha cheesy but I still like it.

Your meet with Merida is awesome! She is such a great princess!
You did so well with the characters! Such great shots :goodvibes

UGH! I've been home over a month and it's seriously breaking my heart! hahaha, I wish I was back already! Boooo.

Thanks! I know there's a lot of people out there looking for information on auditions, and there's even more wrong information out there that freaks people out, like, people pretend they've been to auditions and put up a bunch of information that's not correct and then people get freaked out and don't go to the auditions. It's just not cool.

It does put a lot of stress into a job haha, having to be told your not good enough, but I mean, it comes with wanting to perform, you're going to be told no 10 times for every yes you get, haha.

Hahah thanks!! Merida was great! I had a good morning of characters that day!
